Still fine tuning my R32 (or Black Betty) to suit for Toscana tracks and Tsukuba. Tonight I was drifting with a guy I know in real life sort of kind of not really. We started drifting at the same time (August/September 2011) but because he's quite casual he's at the state I was when I first joined the team it seems. He's big on the SS Commodore. He said he hasn't tuned it because "he likes a challenge" but in reality he doesn't know how to tune his car. I was talking about the team and he seems interested in seeing you guys drift instead of the n00b mate of his.

I may be able to get on after work tomorrow night (Finish at 8) and I really wanna run my 2 new drift cars and get them tuned quite well.

I am really about to jump ship. "They": have engine swaps, drivetrain swaps, are getting porsche, have fewer skylines and miatas, have silverstone, road america and sebring, a bit more drift support etc and now they have confirmed they are getting an open world... If it wasnt for GT5's weather and time change and more realistic looking circuits and XBox's lousy online antics, I am pretty certain I would have jumped ship ages ago, but seriously, you really need to be giving us some decent content otherwise you will lose out to T10

It's too dodgey that GT doesn't have the kind of support that Forza gets. IMO GT5 is the better driving simulator but Forza is the better game. If that makes sense.

Also, stuffed my left hand in longboard accident and it's too painful to even pick up a controller with it so for the meantime I won't be able to drift

EDIT: Thanks to me only being able to use 1 hand (the hand for accelerating and changing gears) I watched the "Dreamcrusher" on YouTube and set up a 1/4 mile drag tune for Black Betty. 0-100 km/h is 2.8 at best and 0-400 m is 10.4 at best. It seems more skill goes to transmission setup rather than actual driving skill i.e. accelerating and changing gear at right time.

You know how I said my hand was stuffed? Yeah, it's actually broken and is now in a plaster. So even though I could hold a controller I can't anymore because of the plaster. Bummer. However, I will try opening some rooms up. Too boring drifting by myself

Time to buy a wheel and learn how to drift with one hand

EDIT: With the new update coming in and renovations happening on the house, looks like I'm gonna be away from the PS3 and from buying a new hard drive for a month or so

Shame to hear that mate. But in good news I'll open the 8:00 room in 10 minutes. I can't drift too flash with my cast (I drifted my Sil80 a bit earlier) but I'll open the room anyway and see who turns up.

Sometime this year I'l hopefully get the G27 in EB games. Dad says we could mock up a seat ourselves. Just tried drifting now and the plaster is getting in the way when I turn right (or when the car goes around a left hand turn) leaving me unable to properly tandem.

Easy does it, main point in drifting is to always have fun 👍

Making a cockpit would be the best way to go as long as you can move it easily.

Room is going to be up later but alas I still can't really drift. Thankfully, I recently got Final cut pro X and I'm learning to use it. Just starting to make some practice videos to see how they look. For the meantime I'll get footage from the open drift room and some old footage. I hope to learn to do what ThePoulston can do (mate who does MW3 sniping montages).

Was good having a slide again tonight, that S2K is a fun machine. A little under powered, but pretty controllable and buckets of fun.

How bads the break? Thats about how long my mate couldnt use his arm after shattering his wrist coming off his bike. Needed wires and rods through his wrist to align it properly again. The poor sucker rebroke it the other day too.

My hand feels fine but I broke a small bone below thumb which is quite important apparently. Thanks to cast covering my thumb too much it's very hard to move stick and reach the L2 button (shift down). Making videos is keeping me preoccupied while I'm out of action

I think the flashiness problem is due to you being so far zoomed into the TV, zoom it out so we can slightly see the frame of the TV or something like that, twas some nice drifting.

I'm still out for another few weeks too
