Anywhere it comes to our attention that members are themselves trolling - that is blithely agreeing to our rules then pretending they are of no relevance to them - we will go and we will exercise our abilities to modify, remove and correct posts and members that fall short of the simple act of abiding by their own promises.

Continuing to infinitely debate our role in this is still irrelevant, off-topic and belongs elsewhere. Look at the people who behaved so poorly as to break their own word that drew our attention.

I was speaking to K1ngKlicK on PSN, he said that he got banned for talking about TPB, apparently it's "illegal", except if the GTP admins (no offense) actually did some research they would find out that in Sweden (where TPB is based) it is completely legal, and they have won many court cases trying to take them down.

The rules of this forum seem to be a little pathetic if you ask me, and I'm probably gonna get banned for saying that! (power takes over, they can't resist hitting that ban button).

Freedom of speech goes down the plughole when you come on here it seems.

If you don't like the rules here, nobody is forcing you to join. But, if you do join, you have to check the little box saying you agree to them before you can ever even post. Maybe you're different, but I certainly don't agree to rules when I go places, only to then complain about them.

TPB's legality itself isn't the issue: discussing obtaining normally paid-for software for free, illegally, is. This, just like the rest of the AUP, is not up for debate. When a member has repeatedly broken our rules (it was much more than once), and ignores any warnings about following them, yes, they will end up banned.

As far as I'm aware, the downloading of a file that is freely available to anybody with an internet connection, is not illegal. The distribution of said files however, would be illegal (even seeding probably counts).

The individual user is not in breach of laws, the distributor is (in this case TPB, even though as said before in their country it's perfectly legal, so it seems Sweden actually have level-headed politicians, compared to the sorry state of other countries governments).

You may not want to believe everything someone on PSN tells you.

Did me mention the previous warnings and infractions that he got and ignored? Or the abusive spam that he flooded the board with afterwards?

I'm betting not, oh and it matters not one jot what TPB's Swedish status is, and that's despite the fact that the Swedish courts don't agree with your view of TPB's legality.

Not your house, its the site owners house and while here you play by his rules. The ones you agreed to remember.

Let's be honest, those "rules" are like instructions to something you just bought, nobody ever, EVER reads them.
