geez, havent the v8's been good lately i mean its the opposite of last year FFORD ARE WINNING RACES and boy im so happy about that. if your a holden fan, you might be stunned with whats going on at the moment but for me im on cloud nine. the v8's are born again ford vs holden its fantastic

Yep even though im a holden fan it sure does make things far more interesting .What really interests me is the Mitsi Diamante that Stone Brothers racing team is developing . V8 Diamante interesting

We get good coverage of all things tioruing cars here in the UK. French channel motors TV is available on sky (in English) and they carry Aussie V8's, Live DTM and Live BTCC.
I have to say that Aussie V8's and DTM are the 2 best series in the world at the moment it's a shame we can't have anything like that here in the UK (mainly cos noone over here buy's rear whell drive v8's due to the cost of petrol!) but the BTCC is looking better especially now Alan Gow is back! But for now i'll be watching the Aussie V8's intently if only because the new Fords look stunning!

motorsport coverage,in general, in this country is absolutely pi$$ poor, ad breaks every 5-10 minutes and then we get peanuts on there who dont know what they are talking about eg John Smails, we he was doing the on track commentary at the GP with another wally called Jeremy Shaw who knows


Oh yeah three ad breaks in the Simpons is ridiculas as well as the show finishing early just they can but bloody Neighbours on, what a crock of stinking dog crap

i agree the CART commentary on channel 10 is apalling. jeremy shaw is allrigh BUT THAT OTHER GUY STEVEN COX doesnt know what he is talking about. he is always corrected by shaw. what channel 10 should do is to get bill woods and neil crompton to do the commentary. remember the australian f1 gp, there commentary was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. IT WAS BRILLIANT, AMAZING and yet we have one guy who yabbers on and another guy who knows nothing about champcars.

pick up your act channel 10, australian motorsport fans dont only watch v8supercars

aint that the truth, watched the champ car race from Cleveland (under lights) this morning (taped it) and was amazed about what this guy dont know
eg. Jordain had spun on the first lap out onto the grass where Cox (or should that be COXHEAD?) said that" if he could just keep his engine running he should get back onto the track" Jordain was revving the tits of the thing and you could here it loud and clear

Born and bred Holden fan here, my friends, and I'm spewing. Although it's mainly due to bad luck on Skaife's part (see: tyres at Phillip Island (where Lowndes won) and Rodney "Can't Drive" Forbes at Barbagallo) that's got him down the order... But don't worry, he'll still be wearing the "1" sticker come next year...

Dont know if skaife will be wearing the #1 plate at the end of the year with this new points system though, Ambrose wins 4 consecutive rounds and still doesnt lead the championship
The new system doesnt give you an insentive to go for a win, thus Bright (I dindnt know Ambrose was pitting) and Steve Richards are at the top of the table without a win between them

dont u have big brother uplate because of this pile of trash show, the champcar race is on at 1:30am instead of 11:30pm

Mate, don't even get me STARTED on Forbes. I'll bet you anything that he was ****en PAID to spin like that, right in front of Skaife, just to put him off catching (and devouring) Marcos Ambrose. Hey I'm not an expert on the V8 series, but aren't Jaguar supposed to be comming in next year with their S-Type or something. I didn't personally make sense to me considering Ford's already in it but that's what I heard.

Edit: Ignore my post, because I found out that there's a British version of the V8 series about to start up next year and the Jaguar is going to enter that series and not the Australian one.

Mitsubishi are thinking of coming in...what do you guys all think of that? I reckon it's a great idea to bring some more competition into the races with a new manufacturer. But what I think they should do is make all the cars have their regular engines with a substantial amount of upgrades to get them up to about 500bhp...

But then again, most of you will probably think I'm an idiot, so...

Yeah, maybe a few more in there would liven things up a little, because it gets a little boring only seeing just two (well four now that they still have the older bodies) bodies, and the four are similar to each other, it just gets really boring, and it's only two manufacturers, so there's not much of a constructor's championship, with one more they could have at least a little bit of a constructors.
