as a ford fan, as much as it hurts to see holden win, its also quite good for a change. brings back some parity unto the series. and jeez wasnt the super cheap auth team a shock today

Has anyone heard that V8 supercars are going to race at portland international raceway in USA next year. How kool is that!

It's really tough deciding which events to go to this year :)
I'm going to the WC, though. Bathurst comes round every year. And there's always the 24 hour race :D

I was stressing out that last week, the world cup games would cut into our live Bathurst coverage until I found out that coverage for the V8s will run for 8 hours (heaven).

I reckon that the chances are SBR, HRT or Kmart.

One question though, what is Ingall like at long enduros like this one? I was told that him and Ambrose will not win because he does not do that well in enduros like this

I'd most prolly say SBR for this one. At sandown, Ingall had an off while in the lead as no doubt you all remember and the pair still managed a third overall.....

Unless they have a major mechanical drama, I'd definetly say SBR.
I'm giving work re-registration a miss due to the bathurst coverage so lets hope SBR bring it home for me:lol

It would be awesome if Lowndes/Seton could get it just to give Seton his first Mountain win. I feel so sorry for him, he always seems to get the harsh end of the stick but is always so upbeat about it......:)

Russell has won on more than one occasion with "larikin" Larry Perkins in a Commodore

Prodrive are still looking for some grunt that unfortunately wont be there in time for FPR :( , would be great to see Glenn seton on the top step for a change

yes i would love to see glen win bathurst. heck this is bathurst and anything can happen so dont throw out a seton/lowndes win out of the equation

i predit a kmart or sbr victory

IIRC last race HRT was testing an engine with lightened bits and pieces. I suspect that they may have something to pull out of the hat for the HRT supplied teams.
So ATM I think it'll be HRT, maybe Kmart, but given the 'plastic bag factor' you can never tell :D

Man this guys are pulling off some first times, that has to be a track record.

Dammit, I thought this thread was killed, way back in the day.. If I'd known it was still alive, I would've kept posting.. :irked:

GO SKAIFE!! Although Murph does deserve a bit of luck...

It would be good to see murphy on the podium, since he hasnt had much luck lately, but Im going for skaife. We just hope theres no paper bags like last year.

They didnt stop the mighty Holden. The Ford on the other hand...

Murph looks the man to beat, a blistering 2:06 in the shootout  ,still gonna barrack for Ambrose/Ingall Lowndes/Seton

Bollocks#999, those are the same people I'm gonna be following tomorrow too...

But how awesome was Murphs shoot out lap! I had shivers running down my spine when he pulled it off

And how all the pit krew from all the other teams came out as he was coming down pit lane.....

Shood be a good race tomorrow.

Yeah, would be a good race, shouldve been there to watch it though, after the first 2 hours I cant find the race for all the ****ing adds

the amount of ads in the race was appaling. but congrats to murph. he deserved it with that 2.06 qualifying lap. still ford 2nd and third and ambrose still leading the championship cant complain

Yes. The ADS absolutely sucked. It's just stupid. Damn ads. Stupid channel ten.

And uh, Skaifey would've won if the other teams didn't whine about the door, it wasn't even swinging really far out.

But what I think they should do is make all the cars have their regular engines with a substantial amount of upgrades to get them up to about 500bhp...:)

But then again, most of you will probably think I'm an idiot, so...:P
I don't think you're an idiot, I think that's quite a good idea. It means Holden will have to stop using t3h sucky Chev engine. YAY! :grumpy:
