Round 11
: Mogyoród

capture_20140915_200013-jpg.233395

Practice
And so begins my first race weekend with my new team as well as the second half of the season. I start off with and R&D objective to test engine wear and managed a 1:24.632 on primes. I then went out on Options and got a 1:24.227, leaving me 6th while my new teammate Kimi Raikkonen only managed 12th.

Qualifying
In Q1, I stuck to the Primes so I could save the Options for the final 2 sessions (the ones where I actually do need a good lap). Surprisingly, I barely made it to Q2 in 17th, while My teammate Raikkonen made it in 14th. In Q2, I just made one quick lap and just pulled it in, good enough for Q3 while my teammate made it in 8th. Finally in Q3, I waited until the final 3 minutes to come out and made one fast lap to put me on pole while Raikkonen again could go no further then 8th.

Race
Off the line I went and it was all aggressive driving from there. I managed to make a huge gap from the pack in the first lap and kept it up. I would then do the manditory pit for Primes and would continue my lead all the way to the checkered flag for my 2nd career win and first with the team.

Round 12: Stavelot

capture_20140917_190326-jpg.233643

Practice
At one of my favorite circuits, I felt at home before I even took a lap and the few laps I made just reaffirmed it. One thing that happened was that the engine in the car got changed to a fresh one, something I hope would make us even faster for the next race. My only time I made prior to it was not particularly quick as was only 18th.

Qualifying
For Q1, I went straight for Options but waited until 10 minutes to go before I put in two quick laps and netted the fastest time while my teammate got 8th. Q2, I repeated this and got the same result while my teammate managed 7th. For Q3, Got a new set of Options and with the last four munutes left, cracked one quick lap and got the pole while my Teammate managed to get 6th.

Race
Lights out and off I went into the first turn. Managed to really make a gap when the cars behind stacked up into 1 and never once had to look back. As the laps went, I came across traffic and proceeded to make some calculated moves behind pitting in for Primes and going all the way to the checkers for win #3.

Round 13: Monza

capture_20141003_191212-jpg.234865

Practice
Going into the weekend, I had confidence again at another one of my favorite race tracks. I was so confident that I only did four practice laps with a setup made and that was it and managed to be the fastest in the session while my teammate was 6th on the board.

Qualifying
I decided to one again employ the ever so popular strategy of waiting until the final minutes of Qualifying then making a lap. It worked to perfection as I managed to advance with the fastest time. Q2, while on the same options, went the same way. Q3 I switched to new tires but repeated it and managed another pole. Looking good for the race.

Race
Lights out and on the KERS I was. Out of the chicane, I had a sizable lead over Hamilton and Alonso, who were battling for 2nd. As the laps continued though, Hamilton began to gain on me. I would make my manditory pit stop, giving Hamilton the lead. Seeing him coming out of the pits the next lap, I gunned the KERS button and Flew by into the chicane and built a big gap over that lap now with warmer tires. As the laps wound down however, He started catching me back up 1 sec a lap and on the last two he was right behind me. On the last lap he was all over the back so every area where there was a DRS Zone, I made a slow move to disrupt his momentum. Coming through the Della Roga Chicanes, I managed to get a good run onto the back stretch and actually pulled away a little and proceeded to exit the final corner fully on the KERS, preventing any chance of him using DRS to catch me and snagging my 3rd win in a row, 4th of the season.

Round 14: Marina Bay

capture_20141007_170024-jpg.236793

Practice
I was not looking forward to this track so I just wanted to get a lap in and be done with it. Of course, that went bad as I crashed and finished the session in 17th

Qualifying
I wanted to spend as little time as possible on the track so I just went out, pushed for two laps and that would be it. Successful for Q1, Barely for Q2 and well for Q3.Despite this, I'm nervious.

Race
On the button and I was going. Into turn 1, I was bumped by Button (which spun him out) but otherwise unphased. My only real problem was my nerves as I hated this track so for me to qualify 1st was pure luck. This is not a track I know well so I found myself being tentative for the first two laps. Only then did I begin to actually get into a decent rhythm. It was time to pit in for the primes so I did and came out in 5th. I pushed and by the time I got to the start finish line, I managed to pass back by the cars for the lead. I held it right up until the last lap, where I managed to spin out and lost lead to Alonso. I could salvage 2nd and was left just bitter with the fact that I managed to lose the lead in a race I dominated at a track I despised. The only consolidation was that I was done with this joke and off to an actual track.

Round 15: Suzuka

capture_20141007_212628-jpg.237447

Practice
With the unpleasant sting of Singapore still fresh on my mind, I came to Suzuka only with the goal of winning it all. No podium was going to do it for me, especially at a track I Know better then any on the entire schedule. Kicking off the session, I had to complete an R&D objective which involved testing some new rear downforce on the car. Not sure if it helped, but I managed to outpace all the cars on primes and got the fastest time of the session. I was already off to quite a start.

Qualifying
In Q1, I went out with three minutes to go and barely nipped Sebastian Vettel with the fastest time. In Q2, I was on a flyer until Maldonado got in my way towards the final few corners, putting me 7th. In Q3, I went with only 2 minutes left and that meant I only had enough time for one lap. It was all I needed as I managed to nip Alonso for pole. Now I was feeling extremely confident but still concentrated on winning and getting closer to that drivers title.

Race
Out went the lights went and I was gone. I was able to build a massive gap and increased as the laps ticked by, mostly gaining time through the esses. I was then able to take to the pits for primes and away I went, keeping the lead in the process. As the laps were winding down, Mark Webber was gaining on me as he was taking off a second each lap. However it wouldn't be enough as I still maintained a 3 second gap and crossed the line with another win.

Round 16: Yeongam

capture_20141013_130325-jpg.239554

Practice
So began one of two horrid circuits I had to endure before I could go on the rest of the season without much worry, beginning here in Korea. I completed 14 laps and managed the fastest time in the session.

Qualifying
I was back to my old tricks so as usual, I dominated 1st in Q1, 1st in Q2 and pole in Q3.

Race
Before I set off, I was reminded by the engineer that I was in the running for the drivers title and that I just needed to push. Not that I needed to be reminded that I could possibly win a drivers title in the unique fashion, but it was motivation enough. Off the line and away I went. Out of Turn 1, I pushed the KERS button and I was out of there. I was gaining a second every lap even as I had a few close calls and slight off-road excusions. At halfway, I pitted and had a lead so massive, I actually was able to keep it exiting out. For the rest of the race, I continued on and managed to get a 29 second gap, enroute to another win, 6th of the season and I was now ten points behind points leader, Lewis Hamilton.

Round 17: Greater Noida

capture_20141013_152709-jpg.239717

Practice
It was now time for the second horrid track and to make things more unbearable, it was raining. out of precaution just to try and keep my car from crashing, I only did a handful of laps (with some spins just for good measure) and wound up dead last.

Qualifying
Thankfully, it was dry for qualifying so that meant I could actually do a lap time without struggling. In Q1, I managed to nail 1st. In Q2 (on used tires), I unfortunately got abit squirrely in 1 corner and got 7th but
still advanced. For Q3, I got out with 3 minutes to go on new Options and snagged another pole.

Race
Out went the lights and I was gone. Once again, I managed to build a gap and kept building it. At half way, I was in the pits for Primes and out I went. Surprisingly, Hamilton was starting to catch me and managed to chip away a tremendous amount of time, leaving only 2 seconds between me and him. With only five laps to go, I switched the fuel to full rich and perhaps with the combination of the tires being at their most grippy and the fuel load at its lightest yet, I started pulling back away from Hamilton, crossing the line by seconds for my 7th win of the season and in the process, taking the points lead with three races to go.

Round 18: Yas Island

capture_20141014_200023-jpg.240021

Practice
So began the weekend in Abu Dhabi and first practice, again there is rain and its pouring down on the circuit. I only made two laps just to avoid damaging the car and they weren't the fastest so unsurprisingly, I was dead last on the board.

Qualifying
Was unfortunately still raining in Q1 so to the best of my abilities, I went out and did some relatively quick laps, which thankfully allowed me to advance in 9th. In Q2, track was finally dry so I could actually push like I wanted to so I did two really quick laps and managed the fastest time. In Q3, It was back to the old tricks as with only 2 minute sto go, I went out and made two quick laps to take pole from Hamilton.

Race
Right off the line and I dove into turn one. It was abit more difficult this time around to build a gap as I unfortunately started on the same Options that I reused for Q3. Thankfully, I had a huge gap built just before the grip was really starting to go (mostly in the rears) and by the time that happened, it was time to go into the pits. I was out and back into the swing of things. The only real close calls were the lapped cars on the final two laps as I was catching them in some very tight corners and inopportune braking spots. Once I got around them , I was able to cruse easy to a 4th victory in a row, 8th of the season.

Haven't posted anything yet, because I considered a little bit tedious, but I just rejected an offer from Force India, I wanted Sauber or Mercedes GP.

Got another podium finish in Canada and a win in Silverstone, the Silverstone had a big bug, all the AI cars pitted on the first lap :odd:

In one of the attempts I made to do the Chinese Grand Prix, There was a bug where the whole field started the race on full wets in the dry while I was the only one on Options and they pitted on the first lap.

Round 19: Austin

capture_20141016_001145-jpg.240661

Practice
And so begins the final two races of the season and for me, a major race as its in my home country and home state. The session started off with R&D test for drag reduction in the front. Afterwards I went out and on Primes, I managed to get a 1:42.887, the fastest time in the session.

Qualifying
It was back to old habits and I was feeling very confident after the incredible run I had in practice with the best the car has felt since I started. Q1 Went as planned as I was the only one to manage a 1:42, nabbing 1st and advancing. Q2, on the same Option tires, I managed to once again be the only car in the session to pull off a 1:42, again the fastest time and advancing onward. Q3 however, I for the first time was not able to grab a pole as I could only managed 3rd, behind Felipe Massa and Mark Webber.

Race
This was a very important race, not just because it was my home Grand Prix but the added pressure of me possibly clinching the World Title right here so I was more more then motivated not to screw it up. Off the Line I went and down the middle I split Webber and Massa. As we went through Turn 1, I was on the outside of Massa and going through the esses, I swept by. I had a slight off, but managed to get right back on. For many laps, I had to fight off Massa and keep him from passing me. At the back stretch, he opened the DRS and flew by but I managed to brake very late and take him straight into the corner and got the lead back. A lap later, I was into the pits on to Primes and out I went. For many laps, I was on Normal Fuel mix as I was trying to save fuel as I was leading. As the laps were winding down, so was my lead on Jenson Button. On the 2nd to last lap, Button made a charge for the lead with the DRS but I was easily able to keep him back for the lead. On the last lap, it was really getting tense. I had finally went to Fuel mix 3 for full power desperately trying to fend off Button. He made his final DRS charge on the backstretch and got by but I made a very late braking mode and without incident, managed to get back by for the lead and stayed there with him right on my tail as I took my 5th straight win, 9th win of the season and in doing so, sealed up my first world championship.

Round 20: São Paulo

capture_20141016_142012-jpg.240978

Practice
Here it was, the final race of the season. With my first Title wrapped up and the team's position in the constructors standings locked in, the only thing left for me to do was win. I went out on Primes and did eight laps. I managed to set the fastest lap before deciding to change the engine and it turned out to be a smart move because it started raining. I knew from that point no one would be able to beat my time.

Qualifying
For the final time, it was back to the old game of waiting for everyone else to make there fast times and then blitz them. I made two laps with only two minutes to go and managed to be the fastest in the session and advanced. Q2 was more of the same and again advanced with the fastest time. For Q3, I decided to wait until 5 minutes to go, then make my fastest laps and then switch to an even more fresh set of options. So I went out and once again, Webber was the one with the fastest time. However, I gave it all I had and managed to snag the final Pole of the season.

Race
This was it, final race of the year. Championships are done and at this point, Ferrari has no chance of getting third from Lotus in the standings with me around so all I was focused on was ending the season with a win. Lights went and on the KERs I was. Down through the first corner and chicanes and I was leaving the field in the weeds. I was careful not to at all go to Full rich yet as I wanted to save that for the last three laps while saving the fuel on the strategy I was on. Webber managed to close up for three laps before I finally came to the pits, off the options and onto the primes. I was able to catch everyone else in the pits, but Webber got out just as I caught up to him. I was making time on him and on the second-to-last corner, he suddenly slowed and I managed to sqeeze by. Only for two laps did I have a good lead before he started reeling me in. With only three laps to go, I finally switched to Full rich and went for it and just as I did in India, I managed to balloon the advantage back out and was never challenged again as I crossed the finish line with my tenth and final win of the season.

Race Results

Lap 1- kept my lead, half second lead.
Lap 2- DAMN IT LEWIS! Braking into first turn and rear ended by him. Now in stone dead last.
Lap 3- decided to just go for it, overtook last place and then a few more. Now P18.
Lap 6- up in to P12, backing off to conserve my primes, options for later. Will make up the time to that 🤬...
Lap 9- pit pit pit box box box.
Lap 12- up to P6.
Lap 16- P3 in sight, it's Ram-ilton. Decide to drop him down a bit, run him into grass. Deserves it.

By the end I had dropped a few places after a pit stop in the last few laps (turns out conservation isn't my forte)

P5. 🤬 Ram-ilton.

F1 2012..

Finished S1 with Caterham
Wins: 1 (Silverstone)
Podiums: 2 (Malaysia, Abu Dhabi)
Points: 70 :D (Kovalainen got 4!)
Champion: Alonso
Team: McLaren

S2
Ferrari!!!

I only have "completed" one race (Abused the gearbox in Albert Park) and I'm in Q2 or 3 in Malaysia

Looking at the teams new pace in Albert Park, it looks like this is how the team standings will be at the end of the season:

Mercedes
McLaren
Ferrari
Red Bulll
Lotus
Sauber
Caterham
Williams
Force India
HRT
Toro Rosso
Marussia

I finished the British and German GPs.

British GP:
Started 9th, was in 2nd until the pits, was 3rd until BANZAI last lap move by Raikonnen, finished 4th.

German GP:
Started 2nd, took the lead right at the start. Had a 5s gap when I did mistake, came back in the track in front of Rosberg. Rosberg DNF, I got a penalty and we had a caution. I pitted, restarted in 3rd, completed the penalty and started an assault on the leaders. Got up to 4th, was 0.5s behind 3rd, made the same mistake at the same turn. Finished 4th.

EDIT: Got a contract offer from Ferrari. Straight up decline, yo.

Malaysian GP! :D

I decided to not do any laps in Q3, to save tires

The race was a catch up game from 10th to 1st, and it was really well!

I'm currently on the Russian GP on F1 2014. I made a hat-trick by winning Spa, Monza and Marina-Bay. Finished 5th at Suzuka after starting 10th. Currently leading the Drivers Championship by 45 points with 4 races to go and I'll be starting on pole at Sochi.

Seeing Schuey on that driver lineup makes me sad...

A dead-even finish?! How? And how'd the game decide the winner?

With 2 to go I fell from 1st to 5th (was battling with Hamilton for the lead, Alonso catched us and decided to bring RBR with him). Had to do a mad dash for the win, which ended up with me being able to be side by side with Alonso at the exit of the last corner on the last lap, Alonso got more speed than me and won by a nose. I guess F1 doesn't calculate differences under a certain time, that's why the dead-even finish. It was really close and awesome! :D :sly: 👍

The page already loaded incredibly slow even before my post. I'm not sure my relatively small jpg's makes the difference.
And no, there is no text since I made this at another forum a while back and that forum had a lot of problems at the time,
what with not accepting certain characters in the posts. It made it impossible to post there so I had no choice but to take
screen shots instead.

Edit;
Screen shots of the 'preview' option.

1 or 2 wouldn't, that amount does.
