Tonights nations race was probably the worst online race experience I've ever had. I absolutely hated this car; it was slow, silent, heavy and it almost drove sideways from time to time. It just didn't make any kind of sense to me and there was no joy at all driving it. I also made one little mistake at the end of the race and it made me end up last with 0 points. For some reason everyone in this particular race were consistent drivers (I didn't think it was possible) so there was no chance for me to ever catch up.

I think I've learnt today that slow car races like this is just not my kind of racing. I'm really at my best in real racing cars with longer and more technical tracks. High speed and fast inputs gets me in the right mode.

I had a difficult race at Brands Hatch. I qualified 7th and at the start of the race I managed to take the 6th place but I lost it after a couple of laps. At the last four laps I managed to catch up with the two guys fighting for the 5th place and I passed one of them cleanly and got the 6th place. Then he started doing dirty moves and divebombing me again and again. On the last lap I chose to stand up for my place and I decided to fight back. I chose to not give him enough space for making a pass on the exit of the corner and then I understood that he was furious.

The result: on the final corner, before the finishing line, he divebombed me and hit my door with the front of his car and sent me on sand. He didn't loose very much pace and he finished without losing his (mine) position. I managed to finish at 10th place, feeling realy ****, only to find out on the race results screen that he took a 10 sec penalty and his final position was 11th, one place behind me! Savage!

Now that I am calm I realised that I was very stupid to play his game. I should have backed out of the fight and lose only one place. I am sure thag I would have done it in a bigger track with many corners, hoping that he would make some mistakes from being angry and anxious.

This happened in an S SR race. I believe PD should make it more difficult to gain an S sportsmanship rating.

I got 5th place in the Nations cup but there were a lot of people with a dr rating of only c in my Lobby so I only got around 280 points. But went through the entire race without even getting bumped by anyone and even got 150% clean race bonus, works pretty good for that payout.

And the manufacturers Cup made me almost want to rage quit. I'm rated BS and almost everyone in the lobby with me was the same but for some reason I got dive-bombed multiple times as well as other people by one single guy that was just being a d-bag.

But.... two of the people that got dive-bombed apparently thought that I was the one that did it and spent the entire race just trying to knock me off the course. Luckily I'm faster than almost everyone in that room and got back up to 10th Place. Rounds like that I wish I was some computer hacker that could find these people's information or brick their PlayStation 4. :-)

I skipped today's races.

Nations Cup. No way in hell I'm going to enter a race with an undrivable and boring car like the i3 and literally give other people more points due to my current DR. It would probably be a bumper fest too. So many decent road cars to make a natiins cup race out of and they had to put the i3.
The Aston and the 911 were hard to drive but at least they were fun and the circuits were wide and challenging.

Manufacturers Cup... I'm not taking part on Gr.4 cars. The M4 sucks.

Races today were alright, though I obviously liked the manufacturer race more. :P Videos again from both.

The fifth round in test season 1 of the FIA GT Nations Cup, racing with the BMW i3 at Brands Hatch Indy. Bit of a boring race really since the i3 is pretty slow. Qualifying didn't go too well with 9th position though I was up against many of the best drivers. In the race I was only able to pass 1 driver who made a mistake and 1 driver who slowed down for some reason. Other than that it was impossible to overtake with this car, finishing the race in 7th place.

The fifth round in test season 1 of the FIA GT Manufacturer Series, racing with the Subaru WRX Gr.4 at Alsace Village. Considering the WRX is quite slow on the straights here I still managed to have a good qualifying session, taking 5th place on the grid. The race however started very bad as in corner one a VW Scirocco driver took the inside and pushed me off the track at the exit of the corner while I was still in front of him and giving him more than enough space on the inside. That pushed me back 3 positions since there's a rather long straight after that. After that I had quite a good race though, making up some positions and also losing some. But another VW Scirocco driver showed some bad braking skills, taking out 2 cars I could pass back again. I also managed to make a very nice pass on the Scirocco driver on the inside of the corner exit of the hairpin. All I had to do after that point was stay in front of the Nissan GT-R which I managed to do, finishing the race in 6th place. I did get much closer to positions 3, 4 and 5 in the end. Without that push I might have even finished 3rd, who knows.

Clamed my first Victory in FIA championships ! Led from 2nd lap to finish with the I3 race on Brands Hatch. Fun car, Perfect for the Track.

Alsace went a bit crazy. I got a fair 10secs penalty when figthing for 4th when ì made a guy spin. Last lap i was hit twice when overtaking and got twice 10 secs penalties! It's a track designed for people to crash into each others . Finished 5th but 16th with the 16sec penalties i still had. I honestly found the penalties unfair, I had twice the advantage in the inside line and the guys both times crashed into me as they late turned to the apex. Is it this track which is more sensitive?

Still B /C

i think i have nothing to add...of course i am a bit dissappointed about the race..and that he got no penalty at all, but thats not funny anymore... the races make absolut no fun anymore..i got almost in every race crashed...

but this time..because its not the first time i saw him crashing.. i want to show whats going on in some races out there in this so called "official FiA where we live out our race ambitions" (or more crash bandicoot). Maybe its now the dropp over the glass that iam posting stuff like that..but iam done with that kind of racing!

Adding: I know its a testseason and i hope they will move to the right direction with the championships

Over and out

@Firehuntah that i3 race looks boring as hell. Glad I skipped it.

@MINKIHL That guy should be banned. He did the same to me and @xChris93_ on a random Sport Mode race. But it's worse on the Manufacturers Cup, even if this is only the test season.

hey mate, yeah i know that with chris93 and yeah i know that he is very often doing stuff like that..but hes not the only one crashing.

It is. It was a very bad track / car combo, as there was almost no chance to overtake unless someone made a big mistake. On the short straight parts you maxed out, so slipstream was not helpful, and the corners didn't really help there, as there were only 2 proper braking zones you could use in theory, but thanks to the parts before them it was just too difficult.

That's my point for making S sportsmanship rating harder to achieve. How it's possible for this guy to race with drivers of S rating. It's clear that he hasn't the same mentality and knowledge about racing with other S rated drivers.

I don't know how they can filter drivers like him out, but this is not what top sportsmanship rating should be.

Well that's that then huh?

Yep. Those in the video are some of the fastest in Europe. I hold faster people to a higher standard tbh because people who are not so fast are still trying to push the limits and can make more (unintentional) mistakes. Not someone with A/S ratings though... Well, they can obviously because nothing happens to them, but they shouldn't imo.

i mean, of course its bad if u hit somebody in the heck..but hey..it can happens always. lack of concentrations at the end of a race or even if the guy infront breaks earlier and ur suprised and u touch him in rear ( i talk from touching not divebombing)

but in this case i showed...and again he is now a example but not the only one...its absolute crashing ramming wrecking, not his first time not his last! And the word last ..thats the problem..for all of us

Ok so I just finished my 5th GIA GT Manufacturer Series race. Since the moment returned back to the Sport home screen it says I am "Not Entered" Now if I click on Point Rankings.... My GT Sport App blue screens and crashes. This is a fatal error.

My race last night at Alsace went exactly as I expected, since I don't know or like the track very much.
I started 9th finished 8th.
Fairly clean race if mostly uneventful.

You're not the only one with that issue. :(

I think a few of you missed some great racing in the i3, while yes it's a strange car I had one of the best battles I've had to date in Gran Turismo last night!

Slower cars always produce the closer action and because it's slower people can handle it better :D!

The best races at UKGTP LANs have always been in the Algore Eco Challenge - electric and eco-cars on CH tyres, running for 20 mile races.

I enjoyed the i3 tremendously, and came second in my races on both accounts - with a fastest lap under half a second off the best times.

That nations cup race with i3s was the most frustrating race I ever been on smh that crap was so slow and sounded like nothing haha !!! Also everybody kept ramming into me so I couldn't really get a good race or lap time smh I almost raged quit !!!

Same here. Last night race 6 disappeared from the manufacturer schedule skipping from 5 to 7. This morning there is a (--) for rank and it goes blue screen when you try to view. Actually, both of the FIA schedules appear the same for me and both are messed up. It shows Maggiore instead of Mt. Panorama for today's race 6 in the nations cup, and it shows all of the same races in the manufacturer series schedule. The races are still correct when you enter, but something is messed up on the boards, hopefully we still have our points and its just not showing them.

CD/S: My i3 race went really smooth. Qualifier 5th, finished 3rd. On the first lap, P4 went too wide on the last corner and I easily gained a position. It stayed like this until last lap, when P3 tried to overtake P2 on the last corner. It wasn't clean and he obviously got a penalty out of it. He slowed down to let P2 pass again and I reached him too, but slowed down to not risk a bump and loose my clean race bonus. Anyway, P3 still had time on his penalty timer and finished 5th. I also got promoted from DR D to C after this race.

BC/S: My race on Alsace went fine, on my end. It was an interesting race since I never really raced on this track, so I took the time between the i3 and this one to learn the track. Qualified 6th, finished 4th. Most of the action, on my end, was on the first two laps. There was some aggressive overtaking in front and it didn't end well for one of them. I managed to stay away from that trouble and on the 2nd lap, I was now P4 and it stayed like this until the end. Got another clean race bonus and I was really happy of the outcome. I watched the replay to see how it went for the others behind and it wasn't clean at all. Still, nobody lost their S rating.

Here's the first lap from my perspective and from the cars in front of me.

I'm only racing the manufacturer cup, not a fan of the road cars in nations and I only really have time for one.
So last night was the best race of my FIA test series so far.

Racing at DR:B and SR:S, qualified 3rd, but I wish they would allow a little more time to do qual laps, I was only able to get 2 hot laps in which is unfortunate because on my third I had a great time going, but didn't have enough time to finish.

Anyways, started 3rd, a small error by P2 allowed me to slide into 2nd.
The only DR:A driver started in P1 and drove away from us in his GT-R, I think he ended +5 seconds.

I then lead P3 for the majority of the race, he was staying back letting me drive as I think I had a little more pace than him, and P4/5 were staying relatively close to us so it was nice he wasn't pressuring like crazy - allowed me to extend the 2 second lead we had on P4/5, which was nice because it gave us some room to fight later on. Then on lap 9 I made a small mistake, he capitalized and took P2, not 30 seconds later he went a little too wide around the hairpin and I snuck inside him.

He slid into the wall at the chicane just before the start finish which gave me a 2 second lead going into the final lap.
I cruised into my highest finish of the season, and my highest point total of 525.

Love the track, had a great time.

That i3 race was better than I expected but not great of course. Was just no way to pass unless someone screwed up. I qualified 3rd and spent the first few laps chasing 2nd hard. Right on his bumper. Eventually I screwed up, I think I was trying to make an inside pass but hit the brakes too late? Cant remember, but I was on the inside, went in too fast, bumped 2nd place wide. It was obviously my fault (Sorry Vevo!) so I let off to let him by. Of course, 4th place who was right behind me used that to sneak by as well so I dropped myself back to 4th. One or two turns after that, Vevo got nudged or understeered wide (don't remember) and dropped back behind me. Then I just spent the rest of the race chasing 2nd. As I said, no way to make a pass unless someone really screwed up. I apologized afterward and received a friend request

Unrelated - Here's my Nations Cup 911 race. That car is a handful and everything that makes the track feel good going forward, does the opposite going in reverse. Feels like every corner is blind. I could not get a handle on that last set of slow speed turns. The rear was all over the place. By the end, I was trying to just roll around it without getting on the throttle and the rear would just pivot and pendulum around. And it's a 911 so you'd think you'd maintain some throttle to keep the weight on the rear tires but 2nd gear would just light'em up. So frustrating. Using TCS 1 btw. (Remember when the GT3 was 350-400hp and like the perfect track car? Feels like too much power now)

Also, another weird mess up here, which I guess was my fault. I don't really know what happened there.. I think it was a combination of me expecting him to slide out wider or just continue his momentum in a different direction, instead oversteering back down and me just freezing up. I couldn't have gone right or left I don't think. Only option would've been slamming on the brakes which probably would've caused a big mess. Also, sucks to see how we sort of bounce off each other but it just sends me into him again. Again, I let off to let him go by, giving up a lot of positions though but.. who cares. The racing was fun.

something like that can happen always..to bad that for both of u the race was destroyed :(
But afterall you can see that ur a sportsman because of ur behavior

I loved the I3 race, but I seem to do better with the one make races. Had two d-bags in my race that all they did was play bumper cars with the other cars. They ruined my qualifying, had 1st for a lap, caught these guys and got tangled in their mess during qualifying. Ended up qualifying 8th. The crashers both started behind me, and despite my best efforts of trying to avoid getting hit they still hit me the first corner and I went from 8th to 15th, another hit on the 90 and I was back in 18th. People need to learn the race is not won on the first corner of the first lap. Worked my way back up to 11th, was running just off the fastest lap all race despite being in traffic, if I had a clean track could have got it. Had some good clean battles the last couple laps, it was a blast. Despite the early Sr penalties (not my fault I think) I still ended up with a blue SR 👍
