Qualified 5th on Mount Panorama with the Huracan. A good lap, a very good lap in 2:20. Started the race and rage quit at P18 at lap 4 after noticing my Huracan is probably 20kmh slower on the straights than Megane and Scirocco , and even a Mustang is faster. First rage quit in GTS.

So, I was constantly under pressure in straights, guys flying by me, faster than most of the guys in the corners, but impossible to overtake there. I got 4 penalties trying to overtake in the corners because it's where I'm fast, what else can I do? I couldn't even overtake guys who went wide at the first corner, they were instantly faster than my Huracan in the straight.

So **** this game where a FF Megane is faster than a 4WD Huracan on Bathrust. It's just too much to cope with. I don't think it makes sense.

The differences between cars are very noticeable on this track. The guys had obviously less practice than me on this track, but better power in corners exits, I guess it's a good 1 second difference per lap at least.

I'm disgusted, I like the Huracan and I don't play video games to drive a Megane which is by the way boring as hell with a DS4.

Not to mention, I've won several races with this car, on the Nurburgring for instance. I've won the I3 race yesterday.

PD do something ffs

Well, today I learned that I’m really not that great at Bathurst! I mullered my two quali laps, luckily didn’t affect anyone else as a result and ended up 15th on the grid, which was fine aside from being nearly 5 seconds off pole. Anyway dig in at the start, had to concede a place after putting a wheel on the grass at the top of the hill but all fair and no contact. Coming down the hill I was rapidly catching a Russian in a 4c and he just turned in and blocked me on the straight. Lost a considerable amount of time there and ended up 19th. Caught the back of the pack up. Even the Russian raced fairly after that so I guess I’ll let him off his little misdemeanour... made it up to 15th by the end but the silver lining was my sr went to s at the end of the race so reasonably happy...

This is definitely one race i'm not going to take part in.....it is bound to be a crash fest and not worth the trouble
How many points did you get for winning? I won my race and got 74 points. I am seeing others getting 1,000's of points for a win.

depends on your driverrating...

Iam A/S and i got for the win today 1500 points so u are C or D/S?

It seems that it depends on the driver rating of everyone in the lobby, not just your own.

Incidentally, it's "you", not "u".

Edit: And "your" not "ur".

Skipping Mount Panorama as I hate FF cars and I'm not confident enough on the track. Barely did 2:16 laps so I'm 2 seconds off the pace of my usual competitors. I don't want to risk ruining someone else's race so I'm staying out.

Manufactures Cup was nice. Started on pole, went off track on lap 3 (alone) on the SS. Dropped to 3rd and fought to catch the first place again. But it wasn't possible with 10 laps. Still glad I got the second place and fastest lap, behind @MINKIHL who drove a flawless race. Got 1434 points... Even if I don't care about this season. :P

A few screenshots.

Oh @Firehuntah was also there :D

My latest nations cup might as well have been called destruction derby (Full "Apparently" A/S lobby) ... I even got fired into someone else. So tomorrow I don't care now I'm using others as barriers.... It's a joke, how you can go from 3rd down to 10th because everyone wants to divebomb you or use you as a barrier, or even brake checking people is silly. I lost places from trying to avoid contact, tomorrow I'm not doing that, brake check me and I'm firing them off.... call me a whatever for all I care but I practice for an hour before hand for nothing...

@zzz_pt ..but mate..ur racespeed was not from this world...
without ur mistake it would be hard to stay close to you!

I love this track with Gr.3 cars since the demo. :D I can lap consistently on low :56s. But you were more consistent this time so you deserved it. 👍

That's exactly why I skipped it. Because I was not confident I wouldn't ruin someone else's race (you for example). Not by using you as a barrier but making some other type of mistake up the mountain where walls are the track limits. I guess more people should have skipped it like I did... :/ Sorry to hear that mate.

Same here. Last night race 6 disappeared from the manufacturer schedule skipping from 5 to 7. This morning there is a (--) for rank and it goes blue screen when you try to view. Actually, both of the FIA schedules appear the same for me and both are messed up. It shows Maggiore instead of Mt. Panorama for today's race 6 in the nations cup, and it shows all of the same races in the manufacturer series schedule. The races are still correct when you enter, but something is messed up on the boards, hopefully we still have our points and its just not showing them.
I'm guessing this will be the end of the FIA lol for me I highly doubt its gonna fix it self.

I can agree with u in the case, that many, also A/S, are driving like they are alone on the track..using someone as barriers or even divebomb every round or brake check.

But that u try to do the same tomorrow makes me a bit sad to hear, i had also a very bad race yesterday (i also postet the replay here in that threat) and i tried today to to better..

As example: Roland Muster Divebomb into you and one corner later he used u as barrier, its very annoying and destroyed ur race. Next race ur 2nd place and u divebomb Dave Muster to win the race... what in that case has dave done to you, he only pays what Roland had done to you. .....so maybe that is the wrong way to deal with that ****** situation (If everybody thinks like that then we have very bad races...so we have as a community to try to drive fair and clean and hoping they fix and bring harder penaltys... but i can feel with u mate...i can totally feel with u

Bathurst is also a track where u have to train very much to drive without mistakes there, maybe other have trained not enough

(Ps: My english sucks very bad, but i try my best)

Wow... I can't recheck now because the Manufacturer Series is crashing and my points are all gone, but I finished last the other night in a race ruined from the start and am pretty sure I got 77 points for it! I've gotten 0 points for other races... sucks they can't publish how scoring actually works!

Aww man it's just annoying. Don't lose my cool often but when you are being barrelled into it just gets boring. Only good nations cup I've had was the i3 yesterday where everyone was fairly clean but even then someone decided to park on the racing line in qualifying. I think after Saturday I'm going to skip all this until they fix the safety rating because at the moment every tom, dick and harry has an S safety rating and they clearly aren't an S. I pride myself on clean racing, everyone makes mistakes but that tonight was silly.

Just watched it back;
  • 4th just hits me into the grass, only lightly but obviously I'm now off. He broke at the same point you would on the racing line so definitely wasn't making the corner on the inside line with car room.
  • 5th keeps me on the grass who's sat behind 4th,
  • I come on and 6th doesn't give me room.
  • Top of the hill 6th then crashes into the barrier but rather than braking and letting everyone through, barrels straight across the track fires me into the barrier forcing me down to whatever position.
  • He then just drives slow for half a lap causing carnage at devils elbow.
  • I then hit someone because they broke early (30m early I mean come on....?) and I can't go right because of a barrier so try to go left to avoid still hit. (I thought someone hit me as there's a contact noise but there's noone there which is odd)
  • Then have an ok race with another guy, who then brakes so early on a corner again and I avoid that one by diving right out the way come back on and dive to the inside of the track to let the next guy go as I was much to slow (Still trying to be clean.... thinking why to myself).
  • Next guy along (Same guy who crashed into the barrier) does a divebomb hits me lightly again forcing off but i brake before the grass this time.
  • Same guy later in the lap brakes really hard now at the place he crashed a few laps ago i slightly tap and let off to get the gap to how it was, noone is impacted.
  • Same guy hits another barrier again devils elbow rather than staying left goes right i tap him so he gets a speed boost.
  • I then stay in that position (10th), guy i hit earlier who broke early is 11th.

But then I think back to all the other Nation Cups and it's been the same, so I'm thinking why put effort into something which isn't very good at the moment. I enjoy the concept, don't enjoy some of the racers within it.

A solution would be a minimum amount of miles before you can enter a combo (Might tidy up the driving a bit) and also harsher penalties for touching anybody (Both parties, it'll soon stop people hitting each other).

I can agree with u in the case, that many, also A/S, are driving like they are alone on the track..using someone as barriers or even divebomb every round or brake check.

I don't mean I'm going to fire people off willy nilly, I would never do that. What I mean is I won't be taking half the avoiding action I try to do to avoid any contact what so ever. There is literally no point in being the immaculate driver at the moment, as you're the one who is punished... I'll still be racing clean just not taking half the avoiding action I do.

This sounds Bathurst race sounds pretty rad. I'll be giving it a go 6 hours from now. Really surprised hearing so much contact happening in the higher classes.

Every B/S race I've been in so far has been solid. I also can't remember anyone with an unstable connection, warping all over, during my FIA races. I've seen it a couple times in Daily Races. Wondering if that is another thing people need to consider. Maybe other people aren't teleporting around on your end, but perhaps you are warping around on theirs and its kinda impossible for them to deal with your car doing that.

I'll probably give this the same go as I have for the last few races: Log in, wait for entry, spend 15 mins doing practice laps, and then go for it. If I'm slow then that is where I'll be on the grid and who cares what my position is. I'm more concerned with avoiding other people than outright best position. And I'm not going to win anyway, as each FIA Nations Cup race has had a person who's a couple seconds faster on lap times than the 2nd place person. I don't feel bad about it because these people are in the top 25 of the world. Not to mention it only counts your best 3 scores out of the 7 rounds so..

@Tidgney It's pretty obvious that some people are trying to race everyday despite not knowing their racing lines and breaking/turning points instead of practicing just a few of the races. If someone is not fast and consistent around a track, they should have practiced or skip that day and focus on the next race. Otherwise we see what you just went through.

I don't know how some people are clearly not comfortable on a track but still give it a shot, as if in the race they would suddenly get perfect knowledge of the track and a consistent race pace...

I hope this changes a bit. I surely will only participate on those races I know I won't be a jackass or make a fool out of myself while ruining other peoples fun.

PS: We used to race together back in GT5 with Ghostdriver ^^ but I was too slow with my DS3.

:D

I'm excited to watch this replay before my 9:10pm EST race tonight.
The track seems brilliant, and I need a good result to crack the top 10 of my manufacturer (Mazda), finished 2nd yesterday good for 550 points, hoping to maybe get a good lobby tonight and get 700+ points if I can get good consistent laps down.

My main problem are:
1) i missed 5 or 6 days of these cup two because of my brother who played Fifa 18 and kept it in his room.

2) University stuff.

So when I managed to get my hands on the ps4 after weeks of not being able to play on it. I noticed how I missed most of the races and I had only two remaining on both of the cups.

----
It got even worse when the online qualifying in the 6th race of Nation cup was about to start and I pressed the option button to change something only for the game to crash and lock my PS4. I had to restart the console. I then noticed how it counted that race as zero points and acted as if I quitted that race by myself. :grumpy:

I also noticed how only 26 players with Bahraini psn participated in that cup. 26 players...that's all.
I mean most of the locals over here prefer the US or UAE PSN region since it's way better. Also since barely anyone likes motorsport over here, GT Sport owners were rather rare and probably even lower than GT6 or GT5.

I remember mate :). I think I'm with you there, if I see a track I like and know most races will be clean there I'll give it a go. Brands for example seems to have some good racing, both races I've done there have been great. But Bathurst, people misjudge to much and other tracks similarly I think I'll pass some of those.

Funny thing is I just did manufacturers and someone decided to not brake turn 1 and wipe the mid field out (Inc. me). Fortunately managed to because of that have a race with a guy I probably wouldn't have had a race with who was clean and we had good fun. Although I got a negative SR on my overtake manoeuvre even though we didn't touch so that was weird but we had a good fun race all the same.

It looks like a lot of us experienced Bathurst fest! I think people get relaxed about penalties and sportsmanship. It gets dirtier every day. And Bathurst is probably the worst track to drive clean. I mean it happens you miss a braking point, then you cut the downhill chicane, then you hit the wall, then you hit a car because it cannot be avoided, out of that you lose 5 places, you get 10 secs penalty , and then you start driving 110% to catch up and be ause you angry with that clock on the damn middle of the screen, but you have to overtake the guys who were 12 to 19, meaning the guys who really struggle on Bathurst... etc etc.

The main problem now is that it sanctions both dirty and mistakes and sometimes victims. Not fun at all. Add on top of that miss balancing of cars and you got a game that doesn't deliver the promise and will start losing good drivers tired of that . Tonight I watched a movie and I don't I will play again this week end .

3 consecutive wins at high level for me (1000+ points) : 2 yesterday and one tonight (in front of TRL_LIGHTNING, I had soooo much pressure ! But honestly it's mainly because of the Megane's power, I would have been destroyed if we had the same car, PoDi really needs to do something about FWD cars right now). Two pole positions yesterday, qualified 2nd tonight but took 1st right after turn 1. All of those races were mainly about defending the prize, I'm glad I ran a GT4 style championship this year with friends with a very punishing ballast system, that clearly helped me build some regularity and some nerves.

Sadly my Manufacturers race was ruined tonight mainly by one guy who ruined my qualy AND hit me during the race. But I'm pretty confident for the Nurburgring GP race tomorrow. But overall my races were pretty nice so far, a few bumps and hits due to mistakes, most were fair and waited / gave back position though, bar the last one.

Me and my friends were prepping for Bathurst, we were in different rooms. We do the quali and see quali lap times 10 secs faster than anyone on the leaderboard. The lineup then starts and the first 7 cars are Gr 3 cars in a Gr 4 race. I don't know how that happened, but it happened in at least 3 lobbies where my friends and I were. I got disco'd but no big deal, but I put alot of time into this one, and to see you are competing against Gr 3 cars was a real shocker.

Maybe I can sneak a P1 into the Gr3 Manufacturer's race coming up ;)

I was in that race too, was amongst the Gr.4 cars but disconnected on the second lap, just before Turn 1.

They closed all the events for tonight... I was laughing the whole race... Never driven my car on Bathurst so it was like a practice session. Came in 5th out of 6 Gr.3
Curious was your last car selected a Gr 3 before the race, wondering how some drivers got a Gr 3. I suspect there is not an exploit, but it just randomly happened?

Random... I entered Maggiore 9PM and got at Bathurst lol
