The problem is if he didn't sign the waiver. If for whatever reason he had a mental breakdown then they'd have big trouble on their hands.
I'm pretty sure a big team of lawyers made Pepsi well aware of the risks & settlements.

playnthru - I'm sure you had good intentions behind the mini-modding - even though the lack of a link somewhat cast your post in a more plaintive light, if not an informative one.
You must realise there are members of the moderating panel already in this thread - we must take it they know what's going on, and as they haven't succumbed to lockitis or merged the discussions yet, they must have good reason for going with the flow. Your off-topic post also subliminally cast aspersions on the job they're doing.

Absolutely. The bottom line is that it's all about grabbing market share.

If this was the real thing . . . then there would have been a huge amount of behind-the-scenes haggling that only very few would actually know about.
