What is the point of having supercars in a game when there's no similar cars to compete with them in races?

Veyron vs Zonda. Veyron vs Konigsegg. Konigsegg vs Zonda. 458 vs SLS AMG. One-77 vs Veyron ect.

Range Rover Sport vs Q7....

Only 1 equal competitor is a bit useless for most cars.

I had fantasies of racing 458s and 599GTOs against Gallardos and Murchielago SVs down Kelekole pass...

I'm glad Hawaii is in this again, love that place. Wish they added The Big Island though. Would love to take my car out for a spin on saddle road or driving up the summit of Mauna Kea for a photoshoot at 14,000 ft.

Me too, Oahu had some great roads but Ibiza looks quite good for driving on too.

Yeah. I'll be getting this still. Still a lot of fun cars to drive. But, it's playtime will be divided between Undead Nightmare, GT5, and Mass Effect 2 (coming January 18th to the PS3...using the ME3 engine.)

Cant wait to drive the Hummer must ask the salesperson to install a pussy magnet (watch Borat if you dont get it)

I like the idea behind this, the world in the original game was awesome... however.

Car physics are absolutely hopeless and TDU2 appears to not have the Mclaren F1 in game, i also don't like the price of £40.... what pc game costs £40... i cant remember the last time i spent more than £25 for a pc game.

Is it confirmed the physics are crap?

From what I have seen the physics aren't that bad. Sure its got nothing on gt5 but its better than nfs.
Look at the newer videos the beta was updated and the handling got better.
Also there are rumours of 2 physics modes standard and hardcore. (if its true I doubt there is a single person on here that will choose standard)

It is true, and if it is anything like TDU the two physics will be completely different. I still like to drive normal on TDU 1 simply because the grip level is a 🤬 load better.

Just a question what will everyones first car be? The choices are.
1. Ford mustang fastback
2.Lancia delta
3. Lotus esprit S3.

I will proberbly get the mustang as it seems the fastest out of those lot the lotus may have the handling but i can handle a tail happy muscle car as long as its got more raw power. Which is kind of odd because I usualy like a car that has alot of front end grip but doesnt drift but I seem to be able to handle the lack of rear grip alot better in classic muscle cars for some reason which even I dont know.

Where are the Mitsubishi Evos, Mclaren F1, SLS AMG, Chevrolet Corvette Zr-1 or Z06, Lamborghinis, BMW's... Oh well.

Is it me, or Most actual games just put a Ton of Audis and there you have it, super mega awesome car list :/

zo6 is in the game

The video's i have seen about this game give me the impression that the physics are very much the same as the original game. I liked the concept of the original game but the physics were crap and just spoiled it for me. I like the improved graphics, the development of the concept and the huge world... but they need to improve the physics, with GT5 quality physics it would be one of the best driving games of our time. With physics like the original game it remains a mediocre need for speed alternative with cool ideas.

I agree baz.

Funny thing is I can deal with non realistic physics in games like Mario kart, motorstorm etc.

When the overall game trys to portray reality in areas such as locations and weather changes etc, I come to expect a realistic physics system.

Weird I know.

Just blows the whole illusion for me.

I loved the first TDU and I really hope that the physics are improved too. This is a driving game that is unique in a lot of ways. Free open world, online, beautiful real world places with breath taking scenery! I always dream of taking one of my cars out for a drive and just admire the beauty of the place.

If this game had GT's physics that would be absolutely amazing. I hope GT6 will be an open world game like TDU series. GT already has the great physics, they just need to make it an open world, free roaming full featured driving simulator thats capable of online.

That cant be the start of the game you dont start with a ferrari or do you lose it at some point.

It's all a dream. Turns out you are a valet guy who then drives the woman to some place in her car and you get offered a chance to race...

Little beats dropping a couple of gears and belting past the traffic cars. They moved too fast for real road speeds in the first game, so the speed differential wasn't quite right, but none the less, the delivery missions were very compelling because of this.

Oh right I understand now I would have got it the first time but I dont speak german.
BTW nice picture on the tdu forum with the burning car and the good riddance sign.

lol, thanks!

1 thing, I heard there was a buggy in the game! Is this true or just a rumour?

There was one shown in early concept art, hasn't been mentioned since.
