Thatman's Rx7, R1 and Miata

I see what your doing thatman, you'll have to excuse PB, from what I've read, he's pretty serious on performance/suspension etc first, and likes his cars nice and clean, with nothing wrong. What your doing is totally opposite to his ideas. You just want to be able to laugh at that thing, use it as a beater, and that's it, you really don't give a flying **** about it. If I had some economy car I'd do the same thing, like a Kia Spectra. A car with no aftermarket/cool factor

I understand what Thatman's doing, and I would, perhaps will, do the same thing.

Of course, I'd also have installed that six foot wing on the bumper, then found a bunch more wings and put them on the roof, hood, trunk, etc..

Eh. Not so much serious on performance/suspension, I was just wondering what he was trying to do, because from an outside perspective it just looked like he was throwing money both ways and not getting anywhere.

I knew that, I didn't realize the rest was chalkboard paint as well. I thought you only did the hood and the rest was just black paint.

So I got my Buick some extra sound today with the 6x9s from the 7, which wasnt that bad since it came from the factory with 6x9s

Then we tried installing the old steering wheel I had in the talon but I misplaced the adapter So that will have to wait to be driven for a few days.

Then Some electric fan got into my engine bay....Permacool says it does 3200 CFM.
I bought it because its called the finger chopper

Then some birds Dive-bombed my car.....

I hate them soooooooooooooooooooo much.....

Number one his RX7 is nothing to laugh at also its his money and he can do whatever he wants to HIS CAR!! . I don't see you posting anything about your car so if you have nothing positive to say word of advice then don't say anything at all . Just enjoy the thread and what he posts ehhmmm carry on Thatman.

You must be talking about the eclipse, and while not rich we have money to waste and get the ting laughed at because we like laughing at it.

If your talking about the Rx7 there's nothing really questionable about them and they are some of the coolest cars on the road.

He was working, actually he did the entire emissions strip by himself over the winter. So actually not too lazy. And his 7 has 57K on it.

Pretty sure he may just have the shop do it or if he actually starts looking I may ask ya about them...

ALSO;My Pacesetter Header might be put on a freeze and i may have to let go of the LN3 and go with 2 more cylinders and something Modular....

Thats summer fun in MN, With snapping turtles...
And I added a shroud questionably to my 7.

I also ordered some Pacesetter headers and heat wrap...And a rotary shaped dual pulley for the alternator when I get rid of the air pump!
Not to mention did a radiator flush a little while ago and installed new spark plugs.

So here is what I did on my "weekend".
First my friend was taking the air pump off.

And this is all the air pump junk:

Then we got the plate on there:

The here is my 3rd rotor

Then here are the heads....without the sealer..oh well. Ive already put that on.

Finally after 2-3 hours got that damn manifold off, we also had to do some cuttinz .

Its interesting that the manifold is way heavier then the header. But makes obvious sense...And they are on!
