The 100% club thread...

You have to finish all Arcade races on Hard mode + All Time Trial races with gold. The % completed will get stuck on 99% until you have completed everything.

Good luck!

I'm 100% on my first. 62% on my second. I'm doing my second game by making different car choices. ( when applicable or possible )

Yepp, all Arcade Single Races at the hardest level (not counting the trick you have to do to get super hard or professional or whatever it's called) + all Arcade Time Trials.

OMG, the time trials were horrible. Don't leave them until the end so that you're ripping your hair out in frustration because you only need one or two to complete the game. I'm closing in on 95% I think and I did the time trials at about 80%. On my second time through, I want to do them first to get them out of the way and have some sweet cars to start the game off with.

That's why there was something wrong when I calculated. I thought I didn't have to do the time trial, but then it ended up at 98%, so I thought that if each race were an estimate of 0.2% then I had to do the stupid time trial. Now I've got 4 more races to do in F1, one endurance, and the time trial..., that's gonna be tougher than I thought, especially for the time trial.

i cant do the cs tt8 is there a difference in the target times on the tt's between pal and ntsc cos i swear i read somewhere on here that someone got gold on tt8 with a time of 4'52.XXX when i have to get 4'49.896. i can get 4'52.XXX but no lower than that:mad:

Loud music good luck man! From what i see I think youll pass easly. :D

thats like 2.5 seconds more i gotta chop off and i cant do it dammit!       2.5 secs is too much on that course with that car:mad:

I had some problems there too, but perhaps encouraging is that more and more people seem to be able to run it even under 4'40! I practiced a few hours a year ago, and recently I practiced for another few hours and got it. It's not so hard - the track's just really long so you should expect to have to practice a lot more.

85.4% is what I'm currently at, so I still have some work to do. But I've been spending lots of time running challenges (and writing the Replay Manager) and when I try a race now they're invariably a piece of cake, including the PD cup and the F1 GT stuff. I do have all the licences and TTs out of the way though. And only a few endurances left. But this means I'm not a member of this club, so I better shut up. :D

Thank you everyone who was involved with this project... wow... there are so many people to thank and I don't want to leave anyone out....Thank you all of my fans - the people who believed in me - I love you all... I would like to thank Robert for the use of his PS2, I would like to thank the wonderful people at Sony for the really great 65" HDTV, which was the edge I needed to get through the F1 championship. The cinematography was great, the directing, the lights, what a great crew... gaffers, grips, coffee people, post-production staff for making me look so great, the stunt crew for saving my neck a couple times... if I forget anyone else you know who you are... uh how much time do i still have?.. wut? oh-okay-... and thanks everyone! You've all been great and SAVE THE WHALES!!!!

What can I say, it's been great getting to this point. With every journey there are highs, and there are lows. I've had my share of each, and every event made me stronger. With the Formula Gt Championship looming overhead, I took on what I once considered to be impossible - reaching the 100% plateau at the top of the GT3 mountain. Finishing the final lap at Cote I thought back on all of those glorious moments, and thought how sad it was that this would soon only be a memory. I claimed my trophy, and my 4 formula one racers (the championship, all races simulation mode professional, all races simulation mode, and 100%) and sadly, if not reluctantly, saved and walked away. There are still cars I have not won, they will be my goal, that is until...what's that on the horizon? gran turismo 4. Now I can see that this was a trial by fire. What joys I have experienced are only the beginning, the true test lies ahead. What a great experience it will be conquering the next installment of The Gran Turismo series. Thanks...and by the way...woohoo!!!! I got 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!

lool haha nice but i cant be bothered with 100% i got to 99 and i only got the damn tt8 to do and the pal version wants me to get 2.5 seconds faster than a ntsc version. so screw it:lol:

i forgot all about this thread. i've been at 100% for months and months now. i still play GT3 (just did a few laps). i usually find myself doing free run in arcade mode.
the races just don't do it for me anymore, so my greatest competition is my own ghost :D

My first post! I've never had to ask a question, that search function is great.

Arrived at 100% last night with the Cote D'azur F-1 race. I've had the game since March. Here are the stats:

100%
16,618,000 (just sold a bunch of F-1s)
657 wins/881 races = 74%
2 golds 10 silver 36 bronze
99 cars in garage
17,349 miles traveled

Favorite car : Zonda Race Car, 1,500 miles. with some modest tuning I used it for all the hardest Pro league races, except F-1 series.

Halfracedrift:

Here are the settings I used for the Zonda. It is a modified version of settings I found here and gtvault.com. It takes a lot of understeer out of the car. I usually brake fairly early going into corners and accelerate past the apex, so this setting works for me.

Spring Rate 17.4/15.8
Height 58/64
Bound 5/6
Rebound 7/8
Camber 3.4/1.7
Toe 0/-1
Stab. 5/5
Brakes 19/16
LSD 12/23/15
Downforce .95/1.25
ASM 0
TCS 3

Used t-2 or t-3 tires for most races that I can remember.

Good Luck

I always use the ghost car and the split times. don't waste your time on an attempt that isn't going to beat your best time. Always save your best time.

one trick i used on the last time trial was on the first turn. I don't look at the track, I just watch the timer. I keep it floored until 7.3 or 7.4 seconds, then slam on the brakes as I work towards the inside of the turn. if I don't come out ahead of my ghost car, i start over and try it again.

through the slalom i basically just try to keep even. I have no idea how to get past bronze on the 2 licenses with the slalom.

the square turns you just have to make the last turn your best one.

the circle turns you have to enter the turn inside and keep accelerating, stay away from the brake.

last tricky part is undulating turns, this will make or break your time. If you have to, go back and watch the demo, either in the time trial, or the license. You don't need the break, just well timed turns and throttle control.

i guess there is one last turn that is kinda tricky, the little dogleg, but its pretty obvious how to handle it, if you've made it this far.

my first day, was about two hours, i made it to about 5:20,
second day, about 2 hours, i got to 5:10 or so.
third day, one hour and i had 4:59 and a plate of spaghetti.
fourth day i killed it in about a half hour. i don't remember my time right now, but i beat it by at least 5 seconds.

get it in your head that you are going to beat this thing, 'cause it ain't $#!!!+, right?
:D
