The 100% club thread...

Tommy, you'll need to do the Time Trials in Arcade Mode (Get the fastest time on all ten of them) to get 100%...:) You'll also receive a Panoz Esperante when completed all of the Time Trials.

i did 100% in gran turismo 2 in about 5 days, but on the last day i had to do like 6 enduros back to back or something and that really got to me. i vowed never to play gran turismo mode again, but i couldn't resist gt3, i've done a couple of enduros and have about 74% complete but the stigma of gt2 is still with me and i haven't the willpower to do the enduros or the lame races (i.e. FF in professional or the vitz race).

i've done the time trials though and finished off arcade mode. i may do it one day though, who knows :D

i have driven 1.5 million kilometers though muahahahahaha...

(ok so i did the escudo speed of light trick and then saved it, but it was fun :D)

How did you get to 100% in GT2, there was a glitch in GT2 that didnt let you go past 98.somthing% because they removed drag racing from the game but didnt remove it from the percentage calculation.

hmmmmmm, i don't know what you are referring to, i was using the PAL version of gt2 and had no problems getting 100% (well it was tough finding which races i hadn't done once i was at like 96%) but it definitely says 100%, and it also unlocked special stuff. now correct me if im wrong but 100% in gt1 gave you a high resolution version of the night tracks and 100% in gt2 gave you a section where u entered ur car, and it picked a track and suitable competition to make the races challanging?? that was a good feature, even though i didn't use it all that much.

From looking over the GT2 forum, apparently there are 3 versions of GT2.
1.0 = initial release, can get 98.2% complete
1.1 = bug fixes, can get 100% complete
1.2 = Greatest Hits, can get 100% complete

The PAL version 1.1 - 1.2 has a bug that lets you get 100.91% complete by changing languages and re-racing one of the manufacturer's races.

I got version 1.0 then. I bought it when it came out, after buying my PS1 with GT1 used. I never found out they fixed the bug because by the time they did it didn't matter to me because I had already beaten it...

one of my m8s bought it and the fmv skipped on his psx, so sony came round and did something to his psx. they may have replaced it or something, but it was weird. loads of games have fmvs that skip on my playstation, and its not limited to old/new ones. but thankfully i only play gt3 now and that doesn't skip, in fact it doesn't need fmvs :D

i dont intend to get 100% the only reason i play the game is DRIFTOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the only reason i do races is so i can get some more drift cars. grats though

i hav 98.2% = every gold license, every gold trophy & Arcade is complete w/ 112 cars. what did i miss? another glitch from PD?

& it took me 2yrs, not hardcore like many folks here

Possibly the MOST asked question in the history of GT3. The answer is "Arcade mode, Time Attack". You must place 1st in all.

After 761 days, how can it be possible for you to want more money?

Also, Super Speedway Endurance takes about 45 min, gives you 200,000cr, and gives you a car that you may only be able to sell for 75,000cr. It's not a very good way to make money, even if you're doing the rubber-band thing with the Escudo.

The Amateur European Championship can get you 350,000cr in 15 minutes. You do 4 of the 3-lap races for 50,000cr, then save/load until you get the Vertigo that sells for 300,000.

The Amateur All-Japan will give you 552,500cr for six 5-lap races if you do it right, and you don't have to save/load.

The Amateur GT World will give you 710,000cr for six 5-lap races if you save/load till you get the GT-One Road Car.

I got a 100% complete twice. I was on my third and final attempt when my dog Wilbur swallowed my memory card. It was 98.7% complete. Damn dog.

I am now on my fourth game of GT3, with 88% complete, but I don't think I'll go for a third 100% complete. Well see.:D

no joke but its really funny, thats an obscene amount of money. :P

i thought i was going to get 100% in gt3 over the summer but decided not to. the prospect of 2 hours around rome didn't exactly inspire me. unless anyone knows of a very long car that could possibly block the entire track for two hours? :D

im on 89% or thereabouts with 10 million credits and about 60 cars, i have the oreca viper, boxster and skyline...thats fine for me.

Rome isn't that bad. If you use the F094/S, you can just park on the starting line for 37 min then play catch-up. Or, you can just do 73 laps and stop right before the finish line when you're about to complete lap 73. Come back when the clock gets to 2 hours, and the Griffith 500 will be half-way through his 73rd lap, and you just have to cross the finish line to win.

So it really doesn't have to be a 2-hour race. More like 80 min.

alot of people have all golds on the license and completed 100%. How are they supposed to 'beat that' and 'bring it'? Also, if I'm not mistaken, in the NTSC version of the game there's an extra 2 seconds tacked on for the gold on the last S license test.

Returning to the topic: I'm in the club, I've reached the 100%. Do you think that a drifter can't do that??

Think again. :P
