I hold the same sentiments. For some reason, Star Trek has shaped my brain in a way that I picture that view of future Earth to be the one that current Earth needs to be striving for. :lol:

Between this and the previous Stargate Atlantis reference, could I paint myself a NERD a bit more? :lol:

Haha, yeah. I think it would be cool though. Don't care about the flying cars, but having building that look like that would be pretty awesome.

Even though it's not real, it certainly is amazing outlook on the future. Then again, so was today back in the 1950/60's. I think Dubai is the closest we've gotten to anything like that, but as the economy shows (& as R1600 said), the world just isn't able to support something like that.
 
It would be cool if all this futuristic architecture came around before I die, but alas it probably will not. :(

I suppose that makes me feel a little better about being 13.

Though I can't guarantee I'll see them either, shame really.
 
It looks great, but I'm going to doubt anyone would come up with the financial resources (and by anyone, I mean several nations) to build something that only a few hundred people at most could live in.
