I've spotted a few floating heads and legless folk. Oh, and this guy:

My daughter was married at Gannon's in the Wailea area of Maui in June of 2012. We spent 12 days on this excursion, and we booked a boat to take our group out to the Molokini volcanic crater to do some snorkeling. It was actually pretty nice, but the water temperature was a bit cold for someone like me, an old geezer from South Texas.

I much prefer to do my snorkeling in Cozumel, or the Playa del Carmen area of Qunitana Roo in Mexico. The water in these parts of the Caribbean is much warmer, and for the most part, much clearer than anything that I experienced in any of the areas that we went snorkeling in the vicinity of Maui, Hawaii. Maybe there's clearer water in areas that we were not aware of, but it was probably still about 70°F versus the 84°F or so that I much prefer at my advanced age.

Maui does have a lot to offer for sight seers, and the favorite part of my visit was taking the Road to Hana trip because of some of the awesome scenery that you experience, and the side trips that we took to numerous water falls along the way.
