The pictures on the left do not make any sense, the amount of roll the left wing would produce would send the aircraft in a very fast spin, no way in hell could you hold it level (and the elevator doesn't even seem to attempt to be countering). What even makes it worse is it's left wing flap is down..... fake fake fake
1) Rest assured my bubble is perfectly intact.Don't want to burst your bubble but how is this picture diagram "amazing". It doesn't seem to prove anything. Just population densities of popular places - meh.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the ailerons aren't the only thing providing roll control. On supersonic planes the elevators compliment the ailerons. He probably would have had enough control over roll and might have been able to fly at a high AOA or on thrust alone. The pictures on the left do not make any sense, the amount of roll the left wing would produce would send the aircraft in a very fast spin, no way in hell could you hold it level (and the elevator doesn't even seem to attempt to be countering). It is pretty cool. It shows that, unlike many people who think the world is overcrowded, the entire population of Earth could live in just a few states.1) Rest assured my bubble is perfectly intact.
2) Read the thread title again. Amazing isn't the only factor.
That's why Carlin felt safe with his may God strike me dead comment. His dad is a bloody awful shot.

I was thinking the same. The source said otherwise but I'll assume they were wrong.
WWI pilot/gunner(?) training. The source says it's pilot training, but pilots don't aim with the guns themselves... whatever.
