Here's a fresh-drained hydroelectric powerplant. Coupla local cyclists decided to drop in on it while it was still dry. Pretty impressive to be able to play in something of that size.
In Kansas and Nebraska it's towns all in little rows. It's as if people moved west, they said "Lets put a town here, and here...and oh wait....here!
I remember when I first heard about him I was in uni at Taunton, quite a few people thought he was a guy at my uni called Chris Banks who was obsessed with graffiti and street art. It would have been a bit too obvious IMO.
I love how most councils now go out of their way to preserve his work!
Things like that terrify me. I don't know why but I have a terrible fear of big things that normally contain water that have been drained. I visited a docks once and they had an area drained with people working in it on some foundations or something. Scared the hell out of me looking into it.

It's a shame really, you just know it was some chavs who have nowhere near 0.01% of his talent so decided to ruin it out of jealousy. I didn't realise it was just down the road from the museum though, wish I'd have gone to see it now.
This is Funchal Airport's runway, in the Island of Madeira. It was one of the most dangerous in the world because its runway was just too short for large airplanes. It had to be extended and engineers had two options: Extend the ground base with extra soil and concrete, or build a platform on top of 180 230-foot pillars. The answer just looks spectacular.
It's almost as amazing as the runway itself that it's never been posted in here before, I've never even heard of this!
Well you shouldn't. I don't laugh at Aberdeen.Pah! I laugh at Funchal
Apparently it was fans of Bristol Rovers reacting to something Banksy said somewhere.
I do too.Well you shouldn't. I don't laugh at Aberdeen.
Well I do, but that's not the point.
City, not United.Actually, Banksy did mention (covertly) in one of the Sunday Times magazines (I believe the "Culture" from two weekends ago) that he basically hated the Bristol Rovers and preferred the other Bristol team...being Bristol United if my memory serves. Which I don't think is correct.
City, not United.
That's their problem right there....not United.
EDIT: one more
It's so cool to have so many members turning 89 in the same day!
The first 7 didn't put a year of birth, so it leaves it blank...
