And Earth is one of the wee dots...

Which reminds me of this famous photo, "Pale Blue Dot"

pale_blue_dot2.jpg

Probably the worst photo ever, but also one of the most spectacular. That dot is the Earth, taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft at a distance of 3.7 billion miles, making it the furthest-away photo of Earth we've ever taken. The light area that our planet is sitting in is actually a beam of sunlight. The Earth itself takes up less than a single pixel in the original image.

More on it here

Tom, people have posted much larger pictures in the thread, surely its not a problem to see it full size.

oh my bad then... I was just annoyed to have to scroll sideways without the Mac's MightyMouse

Wow that guy must have the best rig setup ever, No hint of vibration at all and the shutter speed was clearly very slow too. 👍 to him

Syntax Error, You taking hints lol!

Maybe I'm missing something, but what's so amazing and cool about an out of focus 2850x1900 pic of mostly just track barrier lines? :odd:

Now maybe an in focus 2850x1900 pic of the Renault F1 car would be cool.

It's photographically interesting and gives a unique perspective of the car and the track. A picture of a F1 car is boring, however give it a unique twist and it becomes a cool picture.

Clicking on it to see it scaled down on Imageshack, so that I can see the whole image, I see it is a very interesting and cool picture.

It being larger than my monitor, I see either white lines on asphalt or a car.

I think this is a case where the size hurts more than helps, unless you have a large enough resolution. If it were printed out and framed in this size it would be awesome.

I'll resize it to something more civilized... but it's still awesome. ;)
And I added a similar shot one.

You can always PM me should you want the original.

Much better, Mr. Servo. 👍

FK was spot on - in this case, having to scroll killed the picture. Smaller, it appears, is occasionally better.
