What is the pace? My best time so far is 32.955 so still to go 32.7xxx (if that the pace).
I think i have setup for race (did last night test with ace and sassa) and i'm not going to changed it any more.

Killer is the only one that I know of hitting 7s. I ran the other night for a bit and hit 9s and an 8. I am sure the track record will be broken with an 8 or 7. If you are a low 33 you should be able to race just fine.

After todays race I have come to a decision. If there is no implement of GWC's i'm leaving the series. I feel like a total cry baby for saying it but its what, in my opinion, needs to happen. Today was ridiculous, enough said. All the cautions at the end were unnecessary and ludacris. I wasn't mad at Daytona because.. Well its Daytona. I wasn't even in the last 15 laps of the race an I think it was just unbelievable how many cautions there were with 5 laps to go. 3 laps, 1 pace lap, max of 3 GWC races.

Congrats on the win Sass 👍

First, I would like to say great win Sass. Secondly, todays race had an exciting end, I made a stupid decision before qualifying that made my car push all race, luckily I found a line to cope with it. I think the lack of GWC makes for exciting finishes, it becomes a question of do you want to chance a wreck and really push for one more spot or lay back a bit and see if a wreck happens.

With three to go I have no idea what happened either I lagged or someone else did and some how I hit someone and ended up slowing down to like 40 mph due to the crashes in the last few laps I was able to work my way back up to 6th. Maybe it is just me but I find that exciting.

Anyway great race everyone it was kind of crazy but a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing everyone at Indy. Hopefully with a little more practice this week I can become the clean driver I hope to be as I try my best every week, but due to my inexperience with oval racing I seem to always end up feeling like I squeezed someone where I shouldn't have, or pushed up on someone when I was focused on the car on the inside.

Racefan,

Trust me, you WILL enjoy Indy...:sly:

Should you not be confident in your set-up, feel free to ask anyone for help, I've always found this group to be very accomodating...👍

Oh yeah, good job Sass...👍👍👍

Unfortunately I was confident and went to try one thing, forgot to take it off for qualifying and ended up stuck with it, thats racing though luck is a part of it.

Lol, my understanding is that sometimes luck is better than skill...:ouch:

I know for sure that I was lucky tonight...

Haha absolutely there is no way I would have gone from 9th to 6th in three laps after what happened with skill...that was all luck haha

This is Bow's sandbox and I will play by his rules. Regarding GWC, I am still on the side of not wanting to see it. It is possible that a GWC could have helped me personally last night, but racing is racing and sometimes stuff just happens. The events that took place on the last lap could have still happened during 2 GWCs and the results could still take a big swing. There are natural consequences, both good and bad when making split second decisions when racing. I still believe the lack of cautions with 5 to go make drivers have to take responsibility for what they are doing. The big difference between us and NASCAR with GWC, is that NASCAR would end under a caution, 3-5 laps of doing pace laps with no chance of the lead changing. We don't call a caution with 5 to go...we are still racing to the checkers. The only thing a GWC does is help clear up the tears for some to get a second chance. If there are hard feelings, drivers just need to start communicating privately to resolve them. Most of us have raced together for nearly 2 years. I would think many have earned respect for each other over this time and need to do what it takes to maintain that level of competition and integrity.

Thx guys. I gotta say it felt great. My first oval win and my first points lead. Went to Hooters to watch UFC and celebrate afterwards. Had a duck fart (shot), and Jack and coke. Got up to go have a cig and it turns out someone was stabbed in the parking lot. By the way, the only people at Hooters while UFC is on, are savages. That's an exaggeration but you know what I mean. I usually don't drink or go out that much but of course when I do that is what happens. Lol. Anyway, I really have put in work this season and Ive gotten lucky enough that it is showing early.

I'm still not in favor of GWC's. Even if I was the short end of these races. I was on the short end several times last season so I know how it feels. But giving people second chance after second chance is just wrong. In NASCAR GWC is just for the crowd to enjoy a more more exciting finish. Shame on them. I grew up watching races finish under caution with no problem. During both races this season, with 5 to go, I have had to slow down and use the nose of my car to straighten out someone in front of me. Not plow into but literally help someone who is almost sideways, straighten out and continue. Inside of 5 to go there seems to be this frantic rush to get to the front. Well, its only because of the cautions that we have that the field is this close anyway. So lets appreciate what we've got and let these races finish somewhat naturally. Naturally means we're going to have tears of joy and tears of heartache. By the way that was well said said up there Track.

I also wanted to apologize to Racefan, I know we had contact a couple times. Sounds like both our cars were understeering.

Its all good sass you got into me, im sure I got into other people and probably you, it happens at the end of the day we all come out equal.

I agree with Sass and Track. It's only a game anyway. Can't wait for Indy, I think it will be great.

Ran some practice tonight was running 48.9s, really want to do some drafting practice as I am starting to see how important that is in this series.
