This might be my first post, but I've noticed a few things already...
  • Alot of the members cant read, or dont pay attention to the REAL topic being discussed (dont worry Klostrophobic some ppl pay attention)
  • Theres no accounting for bad taste or stupidity (thats for all you Escudo fans who seem to have equal portions of both) In the real world fastest doesnt equal best, and maybe you will realise this in about 5 years time when you actually get behind the wheel of a real car, god help us all
  • Theres alot of ppl out there who dont know jack about how cars work in the real world
"can't go wrong with the Suzuki Alto Works Suzuki Sports,
for some reason when you buy a bigger turbo for this car and then drive it, it has turbo lagg
it takes forever for the boost to kick in"wassabii

Hang on a sec, you were joking... right???

Thats about all I got for now, hope it gets better from here on in.

PS I realise Im gonna get flamed from here till next year over this, but all I have to say is.... bring it on kids

Actually, not. Well said.

Welcome to GTP.

Thanks for the support Famine. Just checked your site out, thats alot of hybrids info/replays you got there, gota get myself a Xport. Do you have free run replays(best lap), always wanted to see how my skills stack up against the other side of the world.

gee I'm original and named myself hachiroku
sorry had to get you on that.
I doubt anyone on this post actually thinks the escudo is all that great. It's more for ****s and giggles than anything else. The uphill and downhill courses of GT2 are gone so its pointless to even be in the game. Although I think in 4 square should put in paved and dirt uphills and downhills, that would rock. And no one has to neccessarily stick to said topic, its a free board, oh wait your an ozzie, they can arrest you for email threats. So I guess you better stay on topic :P (just funnin'). so you are insinuating that everyone here is 13 (I believe your driving age is 18?). Funny the market for PS2 in 80% of the world is 18-35. If this was the gamecube you could say that. And this is not a REAL life forum, its a game forum, so have fun and stop being a hard ass.
and the best car is........the VITZ!!!! oh yeah!!!! SMILE!!!! hehehehe

I got that Suzuki in my garage, and the point I was making was in real life if u put a huge turbo on any car, not to mention a sub 1 litre K-car, of course it will be laggy(is that a real word???). My Vitz collection rocks(pinky, blacky and yellow), and My nick??? I own a real Hachiroku (actually 2) so there u go> :mischievous:

you didnt have to throw the facts right back into my face like that.

Ah, but do you have a bluey vitz/pitz/yaris whatever it is?

wassabi, dude I wasnt attacking you, just pointing out that since GT3 is meant to be the real driving simulator, it makes sense that when u put a huge turbo n a sub 1 litre engine t would be laggy, thats all, no offense meant.:D

my 10 best cars are :
10) civic type-r
9)acura/honda integra type-r
8)spoon racing cars
7)jgtc cars
6)le mans cars
5)f1 cars
4)honda s2000
3)skyline v-specII GT-r r34
2)lancer evolution 7
1)Honda nsx type-r

i would have added the mitsubishi eclipse if it was in the game.:)

LOL!!
sorry dude, felt a little paraniod, thats all...

speaking of "real simulator" they could of made the game more realistic by having car damage, you know, when you go into the wall and stuff..

I think it would be great if you could have the golf gti racing mods like in the british gt cup championship. Where else would you get a clio, golf ,morgan ,porsche and tvr racing together? The golf gti Link

I find that it is a challenge to run the Escudo PPV on a rally in GT3, esp. with that Stage 4 turbo which moves the power peak way up to the endrange of the revs. Go below 5000 RPMs and you just cruz. Try Tahiti Maze with the Escudo!

The best car for me is the JGTC (or whatever they call it) Honda NSX. That thing handles like a 100hp car (easy as pie), but hauls friggin arse !

You know what, I don't get you

Someone starts a thread saying their is no best car so you spend the next few months saying

I think the blah blah blah is best

 :banghead:  :banghead:

You idiots!

Though I do agree with you that starting a thread called "What's the Best Car" is a bit darfed, as every car has it's own advantages and dis's. Speed is not everything ...

I know i'm a bit late in posting this - but to the person who dissed diahatsu. Go and buy a sirion (not sure what it's known as in the states, but it's the more expensive of the dias) and tune it to around 185 bhp then take it to the complex string. Now amaze yourself with a time below 4mins 30. Also, GT3 Times can't have the records - either i'm a v. good driver or they don't. The record for a Mazda 787B around the complex string (AT/DualShock2) is 3.34.875 - mine is 3:35.101 - and i don't think i'm that good - i almost beat it!

Firstly - Auto Transmission - 'nuff said.
Secondly the time is 2 YEARS old.
Thirdly it's been set by someone I've never even heard of.

The 787B, fully tuned, is not that far off the R390 LM - but no-one has tried it at Complex String for a few reasons (you won't get a record in it, and it's Complex String). But you should be looking at 3'25 or so being the true record for the 787B (even though it's not actually been acheived).

Storia in the States, BTW

Damn, I'm gone for like 3 months and I come back to the board and a thread I started is at the top... wierd. And now I forget what the hell I wanted to come back to the bbs to find. All the stupid people posting thier favorite cars forced me to further clarify why I started this thread.

Only 5 people on the entire board understood what the hell I posted the original post for. (Famine, Klostrophobic, Impreza STi, hachiroku7227, and Party for GT4 are the only non-retarded people who responded to this thread.)

Maybe I should clarify:
THERE IS NO BEST CAR, ONLY THE BEST CAR FOR A CERTAIN SITUATION.
The best car for the Vitz championship is going to be the friggin Pitz.
The best car for the FR races is going to be the FR car that you are best in; however, people who play this game hella lot more than me have the best times with the Denso Sard Supra, so I consider it the *best* car for the FR races because it has the lowest time. And since this is a racing game the point of every race is to get the LOWEST time. So, since the Denso has the lowest times out of any FR car, I consider it the best FR car.

Now, my FAVORITE car is the Denso, but it's not the car that I'm fastest in. The car I'm fastest in is one of the F1 cars. It's been a while since I was a hardcore GT3 player, so I forget which one.
Now, favorite is an opinion, fastest (AKA best) is a fact. And to find that fact for any given race/track all you have to do is go to gt3times.com and see which car has the fastest time for that race/track.

And ya know, famine, klostrophobic, it doesn't matter how big you make the letters, some people just can't read. And obviously since they didn't read the 1st post, or didn't care to follow the topic I set, they won't be inclined to start just because the smart people on the forum tell them they're being stupid. Because they don't care if they're being stupid.

Oh, and about going off on a different subject than the original post, yes, I suppose you are allowed to do it, but there's at least 5 other threads where people list thier favorite cars, why don't you go THERE to add to that instead of going way the hell off topic and forcing anyone who wishes to STAY on topic to weed through all the **** that doesn't partian to the original thread? Assholes.

Mwahahahahaha I guess I'm back

oh hell, it's stickied, that's why it's at the top *doh*.

Cool, the mods understood what I was saying. Thanks for stickying it, I feel so luved :D

thanks for that!

IMO i like the AE86 for drifting. I have it with the stock suspension and the stock differential and fully modded in N/A turn for low end power. Ummmm the R390 is also one of my favoriates and since i own a 1990 Nissan (S13 chassis) 240SX XE i am partial to the S13 Silvia and the other Nissans in the game. Also RWD Skylines rule!
