I dunno. I was really skeptical about iPads when they first came out so I'll reserve judgment this time.

Impressive that they managed to get the latest mobile technology out first again. It seems like it will have most of the gaming performance of the Nvidia Shield tablet while running cooler and in a smaller form factor. I wonder if there will be many PS3 / Xbox 360 games being ported over to run on the new iPhone 6.

Am i the only one that thinks my iPhone 5 is better looking than the new 6 and 6 plus?
I know i haven't held it in my hand or seen it in real life but when the iPhone 5 was revealed it looked great but i don't get that feeling from the new model.

Really want that fingerprint technology tho :grumpy:

Boom. I'll pre-order the gold 6+ with 64gb. The magpie in me is happy now.

Not too keen on the watch though, and a little disappointed with the camera tech, but I don't have a proper camera for nothing.

So, I'm actually quite impressed. The iPhone 6 will probably be my next phone if all works out, although just the 'small' one, 5.5 is too big for me I think!

As for the watch, I'm impressed. Like some of the features, sending doodles to other people sounds like a neat idea, and there's some good possibilities for app integration (which knowing Apple, will probably be done better than any Android smart watch). The 'Digital crown' is a neat idea and I can see it working well, and I generally like how it looks, with the exception of the shiny gold one, which is a bit bling. However, I have 2 concerns, which are namely the battery life on it, and the price of it.

It's funny, when the first smart watches came out there was a general perception, mostly among reviewers, that the biggest hurdle facing these watches was the fact they weren't "watchy" enough. They were too techy, geeky and SQUARE. So then Motoroloa unveiled the 360 and it was praised for finally looking a watch.

Apple now come along and release a smart watch which wouldn't look out of place in 2010 and is the epitome of a generic smart watch.... and suddenly it's all OK  It's because Apple's ecosystem is the cornerstone of the company. It will get the support of every company and app developer and therefore become a success regardless of looks.

It does have to be said though, there will always be a market for analogue proper dress and outdoor watches as well as the high end. For $350 I would expect something at least Japan made. I also prefer a watch to have useful outdoor functions like Tachometer, Temperature, Compass, Altitude, Barometer etc. You just know this thing will die at the slightest bit of water and will need to be charged every night.

On a side note, anyone think the name in capitals looks wrong?, it looks like something you would see on a counterfeit item. Apple is all about the lower case! Which looks more real to you...

As for the phone I think the design is quite ugly looking but they have to be praised for the technological jump which finally brings it back in line of what you would expect from a phone now. It's a great phone just shame about the case.

The Apple Pay payment system could be quite a challenger to PayPal, sure swipe paying it's nothing new but the ability to store every card you have and authorise the payment with fingerprint is kinda cool but also a security disaster waiting to happen.

That might have something to do with it. If people camp out en masse for the next HTC One or Samsung Galaxy, it sure as hell isn't covered like it is every ~12 months when the crazy people who happen to like Apple products do.

What does any of that have to do with Frank Chu? I'm pretty sure he has twelve Samsung products.

@Robin. I agree with the watch, the Moto 360 looks great, but will probably fail with regards to its ecosystem. I personally won't be buying the watch. As for the logo design it does look like something counterfeit with uppercase and bold lettering.

I personally like the loom of the iPhone 6, it harks back to the original iPhone. Plus even though the iPhone 5/5s are lovely to handle the chamfered edges were too prone to marks and my 5 looks a little tatty.

I won't be getting a leather case I don't think as I have a yellow one for my iPad Air and it's grubby looking after about 6 months of use. I'll see what 3rd party cases come along but I might try and get another wood case like I have on my 5 at the moment.

Apple Pay (once it hit the UK) will be great and if other companies like Amazon (wishful thinking) and other major outlet and smaller stores use it then I'll be happy and willing to give it a bash.

1080p screen on a phone with a little more room is welcome, along with more speed and more battery life I'm a happy camper. I was seriously thinking of ditching Apple this time around and getting the new Note or M8, but I'll stick with what I know and happy to use. The credit card is going to feel the pain as I might be buying the other half a 6 too!!!

I love the look of the new phone, especially how the edge of the glass screen curves to match the curvature of the metal frame.

I really don't like the white model though... the white front breaks the continuity of the black display.

You know I was many times making a joke about IPhone 6 will feature 6 row menus mirroring IPhone 5.......

Well I just want to say is good luck diehard Apple fans.

You know what I was most disappointed with regarding this whole keynote? The actual event itself. When they introduced the Apple Watch, one of the first things they showed off was the moon phases and live planet positions. Who honestly cares? The left the really great things until the end, squeezed into a minute or two rundown of apps found on the Watch. Haptic maps look amazing, so does airline check-in and opening your hotel rooms with the device, not the mention the integration with Apple Pay. Why they didn't open with all these features is baffling.

Oh and then they put U2 on and did the most cringeworthy album launch/talk after all that.

The iPhone 6 is (for me) the first iPhone worth getting since the iPhone 4.

I upgraded from a 3GS to 4S and told my provider I didn't want to upgrade this year (back in March) because I wanted to see what the 6 was going to be about. On the one hand I'm glad I waited, on the other... I still really like my 4S! I may well get a black 6 (probably not a 6+, though I wouldn't mind one) in a few months with however much storage I can afford at the time. I'm actually ok with the 4S's 16GB, though, because I don't use many apps and the ones I do use are pretty small. I wouldn't mind being able to carry more music with me, though.

will need to be charged every night.

As a non-watch wearer this is a genuine question: Do people sleep with their watches on? I like the charger but I suppose it was always going to be inductive, can't have a nice clean watch with a Lightning port on the side collecting dust.

Really like the look of the new iPhone 6s, not long had my 5C, but if I had the money I'd definitely consider upgrading to a 6. :indiff:

Looks almost exactly like my Galaxy S2...

I take my watch off each night. Charging it is easier than almost all smartphones on the market today, a task which nobody seems to struggle with a great deal... Besides nobody actually knows what the battery life is yet.

Well, I'm sold. I've lost all love for my current phone & I remember distinctly passing on the iPhone 5 because it just didn't seem like a huge leap for me from the 4. Most likely going to go with the regular 64Gb. The Plus definitely has a wow factor, but I hate handling phones like the Note & this looks like it's just as big. The added benefit of the regular is that it's just .3 smaller than my phone, & reaching the top of the phone with my thumb gets annoying (big kudos to the Plus for the drop-down feature, though), so I'm hoping to retain the size, but easier reach of the apps.

And I may just pick up the Watch as well, depending on the reviews. I passed on the Galaxy/Note watch once reviewers came out & wish they marketed more than just talking on the phone with it, critiquing the novelty wearing off quickly.

Edit* Anywhere I can actually watch the presentation? So many fake links on YouTube. :/

Is there a better link? Jesus, I've never tried to watch something so choppy & unclear even though I heard the Live showing was the same.
It was pathetic... An Asian translator was overlapped for about 45 minutes...

My iPad was just flipping out during the whole thing too... So I never watched it seamlessly..

About what technology are we talking here? Granted I haven't seen the keynote, only pictures, but from what I saw there wasn't anything breathtaking.

Its funny cause its true.

Yeah. I mean, I have nothing against Apple nor iOS, they make great devices and the software is great, but I hate when people (meaning Apple) acts like there makes innovations and something awesome, yet it has been around for much longer. The same goes for the 1080p screen on the 6+. I mean, yes, it's enough, but I expect something more out of it when I put that kind of money on the table. The 16GB is probably going to retail for something like 750€ here and the 128GB is going to be almost at a 1000€, and I'm sorry I expect a lot more for this kind of money as in compareable stats to something like the new Note 4.

Ordered a black 64GB yesterday. Maybe the tech has been out there before but I'm upgrading from my trusty and hardworking 4S, so it'll be a jump up for me. My jury's out on the iWatch as I'm not that obsessed with monitoring my life in such detail. If the developers start making more relevant apps then I'll certainly give it a look next year.

You can add RAM to that list too... 2GB in the Nexus 4 compared to ??? in the iPhone 6 (Did they refuse to disclose the amount of RAM on purpose?)

We're most likely to see the same amount of RAM. 2GB still should be enough, but for how long?

Or if they talk about androids version they'll say the android one is bad

Like "while the android has had this function for a while, ours is much more stable"

Yeah so when they release the S version 6months later it is a "improvment"

6 months till the update comes out.

Considering that you can get a low-end Windows laptop for the price of the iPhone 6, it should have 2GB.

This is kind of true, as Android does struggle to release updates across the entire board. You get fragmented optimisations, and some OEMs just choose not to do it, like the case with my phone, it's a MediaTek device from July 2013, running 4.2.2 Jellybean. There still hasn't been word that MediaTek is willing to release the source code to make an update to KitKat available.

Honestly if you are going to buy the Iphone 6 please give me a reason why.
This is in response to people saying apple smart watches look better than android ones
