Well, Manchester united won 2-1, Wigan kept us at bay first half we trashed them second eevn though they scored first.

And Sunderland, well well well, what did their director say not too long ago. Something along the line lines of "Even if we get relegated we'll still have him (Mick McCarthy) as our manager", bye bye Mick, not his fault though, he had no chash to spend and a ****e team to work with, at least he got them in the Prem, they're just a garbage team.

I think you mean Sunderland, not Southampton, live4speed!
Although they're 2 dire teams beginning with S, so easy to get mixed up I suppose! ;)

Yes I did 👍, I always make stupid mistakes like that when it's late .

well, i went to liverpool v. charlton and i cant beleve we ddont score!

good performances from: cisse, hamman, fowler, crouch and gerrrd, and reina, and carra

Chelsea v Tottenham ... what a game! I believe I said to Brett and Evan before the match that it'll end 2-1.

I've never really liked Essien previously, and the first missed attempt didn't do anything for that. But he had a good first half, and the goal was very comforting. The whole first half wasn't very comforting, though, and I had a feeling Tottenham would score by the end of the first half.

By the end of the match, I'd almost given up hope on an equaliser, particularly the last 5-10 minutes. So, when Gallas hit home that stoppage-time winner I literally jumped off my seat, threw my jacket in the air and celebrated like an idiot. Very amazing goal that I didn't expect from Gallas!

Oh, and who's stupid decision was it to start Huth? The only thing I liked about his entire game was that incredible shot. He wasn't confident at the back at all. He kept laying off incredibly short passes to Makelele and Terry for no good reason, only to get the ball back and pass to Paulo time and time again. He shouldn't have started to begin with. I thought Carvalho played alright at the Nou the other day, and deserved to be on there.

To be honest, i didn't expect Gallas nor Essien to score today, so it was quite a shocker. Good game i must say!

If we took every chance on goal we could have won that 10 or 11 nil, Newcastle didn't do anything all game.

Amazing play from Rooney today, missed a screamer but couldv'e bagged loads easily! Saha also missed a few good ones!

Just when i thought things couldn't get any better Gerrard pulled off a magnificant pass. Well in son :D

We won, again, which is nice. Arsenal were clinical, some good movement. Everton played well, a couple of great goals in their match. City got beat, at times like this I almost feel sorry for blue's fan's. Robbie savage got sent off unfairly, for once, but Blackburn still won.

What a stupid red card to get by Gallas. He could have broken that guys shin in half if he went in a fraction harder.

We were unlucky (sort of) not to have that goal allowed, really. Neither referee could have had any sort of view of that handball at all, nor could they really have been able to tell that it was a handball. Heck, the only suspicions I had were raised by the crowd's reaction. Either way, though, it was a handball.

We didn't really deserve a win out of the game at all. Another average Chelsea game, and Fulham played well. The early substitutions were very questionable. Joe Cole was not playing bad at all, and Damien Duff proved to be nothing much of a substitute at all for him. I'm starting to get irked more and more by the fact that he only seems to have one foot, and he never, ever uses his right foot.

Oh, and I'm getting quite tired of Huth getting a starting position. I've never liked him. Carvalho is a much better choice, for starters. Heck, I'd even put Johnson on over Huth. Ugh. Why did we get rid of Wayne Bridge?!

I think Huth is pretty good, plus he needs to play to get a place in the Germany world cup starting line up. Also, we haven't got rid of Wayne Bridge, he's just on loan so i'm sure he'll play when he comes back.

I know he's on loan, but dammit we need him now!

I don't know why Huth is getting good wraps from everyone. He's clearly very unsure of what he's doing half of the time in defense, and palms almost everything off to someone else when he doesn't have to. He's very inconsistent within each match, producing some good stops occasionally, but on other occasions just being downright awkward.

I'm afraid the only thing I like about him is the massive boot that he can throw at the ball. It sure shows the inability of true quality in this Germany side this World Cup. They don't look very strong at all.

Either way, I suppose you can't really say there are many Chelsea players playing well full-stop recently. Terry is always on-form, Gudjohnsen has been playing particularly well every time he sees the pitch, Joe Cole produces the occasional burst of inspiration (though usually to no avail) and Petr Cech is outstanding as per usual. Other than that, we've been a little average. Notably since that Middlesborough defeat.

Definitely! I'm looking forward to that, always been a fan of Michael Ballack. Probably the only real German superstar these days.

In other news, Djibril Cissé is on his way out of Liverpool and off to Tottenham most likely.

That's right, on TV today they were saying that the problem with the German national team is taht most of the players play in Germany and don't have experience in the champions league. However, i think Michael Ballack will get just that at Chelsea.

As for Cisse, I always got the feeling that Benitez didn't like him. He was good at first but he hasn't really been the same since that awful leg injury.

I reckon Cisee has to calm down a little bit, ever since his injury he has been goal hungry and not being as cohesive with the team as he has previously been.

Yeah, he's not really playing for the team at the moment. Seems like Crouch has given him the 'never score any goals disease' which he has now got rid of at last.

i just got home frm the merseyside derby, i was a lucky one with a ticket!
i cannot beleive gerra was sent off! i have to see a replay. when we scored i was very near to the everton blue noses, so i was givin them hell all game!
BUT when because they are local fans, they get let out whenver they wish, so when kewell scored a cracker on 84 mins, i was givin them everton fans ABSOLUTE HELL! there was like 20 of em all lookin directly at me! then alot of them got up and walked out, but i also happend to be walking out! me n my dad were like RUN! lol. great game, best ive seen at anfield

You were actually there were you? Cool! Never been to a Liverpool game but i can imagine the kind of atmosphere there must have been at that derby.

The best game to specatate at the grounds is Rugby because the fans don't take it like your insulting thier mothers. They have a laugh with each other, I was at a Sale Sharks game last month and you had all the Sharks fans doing this chant then when they shouted Sale this guy right in the middle of them with a Leed's shirt on was shouting Leed's, you don't see people getting battered for that, the Sharks fans were having a laugh with him.

It's been a while since I've been to a Man U game, last time I got a chance was at the derby last year at the city of Manchester stadium, but it was with a mate who was a city fan and the seats were in city's section so I kindly declined.

I like Rugby, I prefer Football though, but Rugby is a much better tempered game.

I can't believe I missed the Liverpool-Everton game. My dad even payed for it on Preiership Plus. Bloody busses.

Rugby is a much better tempered sport. If two guys start scrappin you don't get the gobby little people walkin up and tryin to be bosses. The refs usually give them abit to sort it out bewteen them and then give them both a stern word. Plus there's much more opertunity to get back at people in rugby without breaking the rules of the game.

The onlt time I could compare the friendliness of a football crowd to that of a rugby one was when Wales played N Ireland at the Millenium stadium.

Drogba is like a mini Mourinho, did anyone catch his post match interview on the game? He was asked a question and the answered was 'i know we are the best' funny thing is the question was even related to being the best etc. His handballing is also beginning to annoy me :grumpy:

Yeah he was having problems answering some of those questions as well, so he just said 'we are the best'

As for the comparison between Rugby and Football, i think the reason Football is a much more bad tempered and uncontrolled game is that most footballers are thick and/or generally bad tempered guys.
