You will ruin Owens career, like you did Shearers if he comes to you. :grumpy:
I always said when we signed Rooney, I could picture Fergie walking him around the ground saying, "We wanted for Alan, he decided he wanted to go to Newcastle because he thought they would win trophys, since then we've won all this, he's won nothing, make the right choice."

Also here's 30 million pounds, nudge nudge, wink wink.

They didn't give Rooney 30 million pounds, they offered Everon that money, they still had to convince Rooney to go the them. If Rooney said no it wouldn't have mattered if we offered 50 million for him, he wouldn't have had to go. We offered a good ammount for Shearer, he still cose to go the Newcastle, why? Because they convinced him they would be the up and coming team. They wern't, we were.

Owen has to get out of Spain, or he's gonna struggle in the world cup.

Back to Liverpool he should go, so we can all mock his cowardice :D

j/k He's played wel in Spain, just wasn't getting any help off the manager.

I don't think it'd be a great move to go back to Liverpool, they sold him for 8 million last year, Newcaslt have offered 18 so they'll be spending a lot more than they got for him to get him back.

Luque deal is done, 5 year contract in region of 10 million pounds, only has to be signed and sealed. Other than that its a done deal, if Owen says yes now i will be annoyed and happy in equal quantities.

all that needs to happen next is Souey get sacked and Shearer break Milburns record.

I don't get Real Madrid though.

Owen is now like the 5th choice striker, he doesn't want to stay and they hadly play him.

How can they justify more than doubling his value when really it should have been halved.

Also bearing that in mind, how can he possibly question garunteed 1st team football at Newcastle, he wants to play in England, liverpool are not offering, Benitez said that this morning, Newcastle have offered him that and yet he still wont decide?

Because Newcastle arn't a very good side at the moment, they arn't in Europe and a player like Owen wants to play in Europe.

I just want to know why Newcastle want another injury prone forward, you only just got rid of Bellamy for good!

And you can't deny Owen was injured a fair bit at Liverpool.

Owne's fair bit better at scoring goals than Bellamy. Sure most of them are tap-in's but the bottom line is he still scores plenty of goals.

Owen is good, yeah Newcastle arent doing well, but he wants to play in england and newcastle have offered him that. No-one else has, if he stays in Spain against his will so he doesnt have to play for Newcastle i will see him in a different light.

I don't think he wants to neccesarily play in England, but liek I said, It's World Cup season and he needs reguilar play. And premiership teams seem to be the only ones interested.

And like L4S said, Newcastle aren't in Europe this season, and he also needs European Football.

Champions league football, one of the best midfields in Europe even without Essien and he would be managed by Houlier who is familliar with Owen.

i couldnt see that happening even when they were interested, he wants prem football and had a prem offer on the table, yeah he wants europe but theres sacrifices you have to make.

Missing out on the Champions league to play for Newcastle is the bigger of the two sacrifices I think. Newcastle arn't worth it, they have some good players but they just don't play well, they need complete re-structuring, new managment and new set of objectives and the players need to get on the ball. I wouldn't want to pla for Newcastle at this point in time, put it that way. A few seasons ago yes, but not now. I actually like Newcastle and think they're capapble of a lot more than they accomplish, but it's ben that way for a long time.

It doesn't matter if Souness goes, no reall good manager is going to want to go to a club with that board. Look what they've done to the club so far, Souness does need to go, but the board needs a serious re-think of how they will run the club.

No goals let in yet for us, same fo Chelsea. This season will be a lot closer than last even if Chelsea do win it again, it's looking like there will be a good battle for first.

It seems allot of their failed transfers have been due to their board.

In other news Everton bought Nuno Valente from Porto for 1.5 million. 1.5 million for a champions league winner and a regular in the Portugese national team doesn't sound so bad. Also they managed to get Ferrari from Roma on loan and are on their way to signing Van Der Meyde from Inter.
