Well done Pompey 2-0 in the Carling Cup. đź‘Ť

...not related to this season's football, but Emlyn Hughes OBE died today at age 57.

Absolutely shocking news, thats so young really. It was a brain tumor he fought since it was diagnosed in 2003.

England Captain 23 times, and absolute legend. They called him "Crazy Horse"

He'll be remebered by Liverpool as a God.

RIP Emlyn Hughes 1947-2004

You'll never walk alone.

A tragic day indeed. Emelyn Hughes was a real ambassador for football. He will be missed.

On a lighter note, Wayne Rooney drives (drove) a Cadillac Escalade! What great taste in cars the boy has ... not!

Yep, but what a car!, he took on a 23 ton truck and walked away unharmed...they'll probably use that in the new safety advert

It's the North London Derby tommorow, i'm gonna hide in my house.

Game of the week.

Arsenal 3

Totenham 1

Sorry Spurs fans, it's only a prediction.

Arsenal are still going to win the league dispite their recent bad form. I'll be keeping an eye out for West Ham this weekend as they'll be playing against Arsenal at least twice next season.

I was right about one thing, this was game of the week.No less than 9 goals were scored at White Hart Lane today with 5 from Arsenal to end their 3 draws on the spin. Totenham battled hard to score a respectable 4 goals against last years champs.

Naybet, Dafoe, King, Kanoute

Henry, Lauren (pk), Viera, Ljunberg, Pirez

Southampton secured a win against Portsmouth to record Steve Wigley's 1st win as Saints' manager.

Phillips, Jakobsson

Blackstock

5-4 to the Arse and some appaling defending by Spurs.
Oh and the Chelsea Fullham game was 3-1, damn that boring scum Chelsea. ;)

Another Premium member. Soon a whole race of you will be spawned. Anyway back to what matters, I think Chelsea made it 4-1 in the end. Spurs defending was bad at times, which didn't go un-noticed by Alan Hansen. Ask yourself one question, do teams in the Premiership have good defences? The answer for me is no way! Nice to see you hate Chelsea, keep it up. đź‘Ť

First Premiership game of the day nearly over.

West Brom 1-2 Middlesbrough

Earnshaw 37

Purse (og) 32, Zenden 52

About 20 mins remaining. Newcastle are hosts to Man U today at 16:05. Giggs rejects new offer from United aswell!!

GOAL! Rooney 7

No way dude, I mean I don't hate Chelsea, well I don't love them either but they will have to grow on me. It's mainly the fans that annoy me due to their blindness. Can't they be modest about the whole affair and admit they are on top due to the fundage.

I have been a fan of Chelsea since the Zola era, which to be honest isn't saying much. And I haven't been happy with many things that have happened recently, but it's not going to stop me liking Chelsea. Oh and of course we are on top because of the money, because we got players and management from the money. But one other thing we will get from the money, hopefully get is a refined youth system so we don't need to constantly rely on paying 24 million on players that aren't worth half of that. It's a shame to see only one player from the current system make it into the first team, although it's JT but i'd like to see more.

You mean a youth system on a par with West Hams? Zola was one of my favs (on a level with Bergkamp) and seemed like a nice guy when being interviewed. That era was a good one for the Blues, which had good players and managers. You even won some silverwear (jealous WH fan). But enjoy it for now.

GOAL! Shearer 71

GOAL! Van Nistleroy 77 (pk)

Indeed, I can't belive how many of englands current best players are from West Hams youth system and when are you guys going to get promoted? I couldn't belive it when you almost did last season. I have a few friends who knew Jermain Defoe when they were kids, although they all moved to north London when Canary Wharf thing started.

Another penalty, Rooney? Damn.

A few of my good friends went to secondary school with him. One even saved a penalty in some sought of cup final. I trust it ended 1-2, well Man U haven't had much luck lately so good for them. Notice how Chelsea will turn into the new Uniterd where they are succesful and the whole country hates you.

I'd rather be a Chelsea fan than a Tottenham fan. :P
The United of the south eh? Theres allot of hate for Man U though that goes way back, although Mourinho is just as arrogant as Fergie but I like him he's quite funny. I still can't see us getting as bad a rep as Man U.

Newcastle vs United

Didn't see the match, but I've just caught the highlights.

Well...Rooney is doing a sterling job. Honestly, Kluivert was not offside. Soft penalty, personally I wouldn't have given it. Scholes is a tough man, and I don't think he thought it was a penalty, but hell, we'll take it :)

But to seal the game, nice finish Rooney. 3 - 1. big three points thankyou :D

Roy Keane, 300th game for united, what a star...don't write us off yet boys, we're still as dangerous as ever ;)

Lousy Sam Allardice with his super Bolton.

You know Arsenal have signed another Ivory Coast bloke who's a defender! So no more Cygan and maybe no more constantly injured Campbell for you!

I was at the Arsenal / West Brom match and Arsenal played fantastic football for the most part of the game. We were really unlucky not to take all three points, mainly down to Hoult playing a blinder in goal. The only real moan of the match was Cygan, who still looks very shaky at the back. A lot of the Arsenal fans booed the team off the pitch, which I thought was very unfair. I haven't heard anything about this new defender we've apparantly signed. TIme to check him out.

Cygan is just the worst player in the history of everything. Did anyone see him head a corner about 5 feet over the bar when he had an open goal. It also happened he was about 4 meters out. Damn bald Cygan.

Yea, it is Socrates, and he is like 50 years old.

If Arsenal keep up the crap run of form, those asses from west London will be the first team to buy the champions crown. Watch out for Man U though, if they can beat Chelsea and Arsenal they will be back in the race. And everybody knows they only get started in the final few months of the season.

Not much Arsenal could do when two 'goals of the season' are scored against them in the same game. In my opinion, their title hunt is overs. Its between chelski and manure. If Chelsea win the game V ManU, its their season đź‘Ť

I forgot, no other team actually buys players. Man U and Arsenal just magically get them somehow.
