Formation Lap & Rolling Start:: The formation lap speed limit is now 130kph.
Weaving is allowed. Please keep a consistent speed, no heavy braking etc.

Event will open at approx. PENDING
Drivers are to ready their cars in the pit lane for the Q session.
Once the Q session is over (20mins on screen timer) finish your current lap and wait in the pit lane until race start at (PENDING)
*Please do not leave pit lane or text during the race countdown as it can cause lag for the race start/formation lap.

Update, the formation lap speed limit is now 130kph and weaving is allowed. A warm up lap does actually make a difference, just tested it and the 7 was ready to go after a full lap.
Also, the start line is the banner at the beginning of the back straight.
We should all be bunched up and ready by then. When that banner disappears from the pole position driver's view (which ever view they may use), the race is on! so be ready to react!

In-game track time for the race will be 4:40am with a time rate of 1.

Also made a few adjustments to my car settings, softened the springs and dampers as well as adding some more camber. It feels smoother now.. but edgy at high speed corners... great fun!

* I ran a couple more laps last night. The early track time in clear weather has brilliant atmosphere...sun low at eye level at parts is awesome, great feeling driving the 7 on The Ring.

Guys, please try to express your interest for this race with a yes, no or maybe asap.
I just would like to know, cos I don't need to set up the room at 7am and wait around if no one shows.

Thanks :)

British Racing Green again for me. Will be feeling depressed if Vettel wins in Brisbane. Go on Button.
Re. the weight, as I recall the 7 can't be lightened....I'll go and check later, but, err, just out of curiosity, is ballast allowed?...and 'no ecu' means 'basic ecu' right?....stupid question I guess because otherwise my bhp wouldn't be 206 but thought it worth mentioning for clarity.

Yea you can adjust ballast.

Anyone else in on the action? gotta get the numbers up for the race to go ahead!

If you do it on a different day then PM me. My 18th birthday that day so dont expect me to be sober :sly:

Happy B'day to ya!
The race date is set unfortunately but there will be other events coming!

Jeez these time zones are confusing! 9am AEDT on Sunday the 18th is 10pm GMT on Saturday the 17th, (very civilised), so the F1 GP will be yet to happen .... (so the depression will be replaced by feverish anticipation) .... Hope I didn't confuse any fellow Poms with my previous comment which implied that the GP would be over by 9am AEDT.
Yep, Livewire, Vettel was on UK's Top Gear a while back and he came across really well, very likeable, but we don't want another white wash season!!

Hamilton was likeable on top gear too, but I'm not a fan of his either. Both are good drivers and will probably win more championships, but I just don't seem to like either one. Now that we have hijacked the thread...

Seido, go ahead and confirm me. Still caterham yellow.

How are you guys getting 207 hp? Everything maxed, except as required, I max 206.

Ok great, I'll put you on the starting list :)
My 7 is at 205bhp. It dropped down to 197 after the race!

Livewire, when you set the bhp for the room/event it doesn't go up in single units. 207 is the closest value. Mine's 206 I think, or will be when I've changed the oil.

Hijack apology .... Re. Hamilton, yep, kinda agree, Button for me, (Canada last year was brilliant, last to first in the wet), then Caterham, then Lotus Renault, and Paul deResta (sp?). Would be good to Williams have a better season too.

Well, it looks like there will only 5 of us if we are all still in for it?

Just a thought, we could rematch at S2 again? a few shorter races... 5 laps or something each...

For that few drivers, if we do shorter races, I would prefer shorter tracks. Maybe 5 or 10 laps each around tracks like Cote d'Azur, eiger, deep forest, trial mountain, etc.

Well, at this rate I may cancel. Not enough drivers. I can run shorter sprint races at other times. I was going to be getting up at 7am which I don't mind for a good size grid enduro race but not for a few sprints... bit of a shame, glad I didn't put in any real prac... haha.. didn't have the chance this week for much GT...

*Sorry guys, I'm going to shift the date, I'll post it up when I know.

I'd love to jump into this series. Ive been looking for the catterham in the UCD for days now, still know luck

I've got 3, so I could give you one. I still buy them every time I see them.

Sorry this date hasn't worked out, but it is probably for the best. I've been sick, so I haven't practiced either. I haven't tuned my car for the ring either.

That's a shame, I was looking forward to 8 laps of Nordschleife.

Live, thanks for offering to give out one of your 7s. Get's the numbers up on the grid.
We now have 7.

Saffy, it's actually 10 race laps and 1 warm up lap with a rolling start.

Sousa, I've added you to the list.

Considering that this event has only been posted for a week and we have 7 on the grid is good but I think for a race like this more time needs to be given as I want each driver to be prepared by at least doing a few laps prac in the dry, wet and in the dark as well as setting up their car for the infamous track.
This event will still go ahead as I am really looking forward to it also, just March is really busy for me this year, finishing my job in 2 weeks then the internet will get shut off at the end of March then I will move back to my wife's hometown for 2-3 months (thankfully they have the internet) then I will be moving back to Australia. So I'll be pushing to get some good races in before going back to Australia.

So in the meantime, lets get out 7s tuned and get some prac done on The Ring.
Maybe we can organise some prac sessions?

Got 5 laps of prac done yesterday. Just tweaking the suspension and so on...it's feeling a bit better now.

Live, won't be able to make 9pm PST unfortunately.

I've got more caterhams coming, I'm willing to provide cars for people who want to participate, I think I have 3 cars available. Just fr me on psn, if you are serious about participating.
