I love it and would pay a large amount of money to buy one. So absurd, so funny, so lovable! It would just make me smile constantly.

Anyway, I think DongFeng are a Honda sister company.

I thought that it's some of those cars from magazines like Redline and Max Power.. :D quite essentially it's just a copy of utterly riced british chavmobile. if we peel off the plastic, we can find the remaining parts of Vauxhall Nova 1.2..

Why do the Chinese always copy something uncool? I mean, if you are going to steal styling, don't take it from a Tiburon, take it from a Jaguar XK.

The Chinese think BUICKS are cool.

I mean, seriously, what do you expect after years of Communist oppression? That these people know how to make a good looking car?

I'll be honest with you. I actually liked the front of the car except for the front grill design and the hood design. It's whimsical at best. The taillights are okay, but the rear bumper (or lack thereof) is really going to lose some points in the rear-end crash impact category. The rear windshield is too high up. It's a horrid design. Don't you want as much rear view as possible? This thing would look better if that acordion-like rear was closed (if at all possible). This isn't a very pretty car.

Out of 100% approval, I'm giving this design 40%. The reason why I didn't give it a much lower score is because there are a lot of design elements I like to this car. Trouble is, the overall flow is completely off. I'm giving Chinese auto makers a chance because if they want to offer quality vehicles to China and the world, China really needs to have some people either teach them the ins and outs of design, or just simply look for much better artists. I don't hate China for these designs. I'm giving them a chance as a citizen of the world for car design. I still believe they should study from Korean and Japanese makes to learn how to style a car. The first emphasis is style. Next, you want to look at safety. You can build the most beautiful car in the world, but you need to design it so that they are made much safer to be in and drive. I heard of one Chinese company made an SUV that got a 0 for their safety rating. I'm not looking for cheap laughs and quick rants like someone on that blog site said. This tag is going to be on China for as long as they are making cars: "Made in China." Well, what if China produced a series of five-star, Triple-A, gold standard automobiles that the world enjoys driving and owning? Would the "Made in China" joke be dead? China doesn't have to represent cheapness. Chinese auto makers are still on Home Plate swinging at breaking balls and sliders. They have yet to bat a Home Run, much less a Grand Slam. It's going to take time and effort for China to really shine. Over time, Japan has succeeded. Korea has succeeded. Even Malaysia has suceeded. China's time will come. A lot needs to change between now and then for that vision to become a reality.

Lot of neat features on this car. Shame none of them belong together. It's clearly designed by someone who loves cars, but has no idea what one should look like, nor has seen any outside of Japanese animated movies. For example:

That's a fat samurai sitting down, hunched over and eating something. Or a very surprised Gundam.

The name is the real killer, though. "Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type-RA Spec C" has nothing on "EQ72408P". By the time you get the name out, you've long since left it in the dust.

This car isn't a copy(for once), it's based on Tiburon. It's in the article.

I think that rear accodion things is a extendable(raiseable) canopy. Supposed to turn it into a sportswagon. That's my guess.

As for the Chinese quality, it has a very long way to go. Longer than I originally thought. According to their own domestic quality control research, quality rating actually went down this year. At least they are keeping track of it, hoping to turn things around.....

At least their logo is neat.
Yes, but only in a twin-dolphin, yin-yang, mandorla, semi-swastika sort of way.

At least nobody can say they've copied someone else's design.
