Do not wait for the NPCs on the map for the release of the game, me and several members of the TCC have the theory that they have been Thaned for the sacrifice of wanting to have the Toyota license.
Who hurt Toyota?

It sucks, but at least explainable in game as a sanctioned festival. Forza Horizon has always put all pedestrians behind barriers.

For the games that are coming from Ubisoft (TC Motorfest, AC Mirage, Avatar), I might consider subscribing for now and until all the games are discounted, which is usually about 6 months from release.

Ultimate will be on sale only after Year 1 will be over. Its great strat if you ok with skip few Summits and seasonal content and only care for Playlists.

Looking forward to this title, It plays nicely, but I'm not sure it will have as much longevity with the map being smaller. Definitely a purchase on January sale once the title has filled up with playlists and custom races made by the player base. The only fly in the ointment is the push for MTX, but cars a merely skins in this kind of game so there's no real pressure. I like that you can import cars from the earlier game too, helps mitigate ultra edition fleecing during these tough cost of living times.

Custom races are not available in Motorfest and they didn't really say it is coming either. I hope they will patch it in like in TC2.

That's a shame what I noticed during the beta is those playlists don't take long to beat, more reason to wait for the content to stack up then, and hopefully new features get added along the way too.

playlist events are replayable and you can switch up some of its settings like car classes and weather, it will at least open up the number of routes you can use your favourite cars. Unlike TC2 where hypercars event is only for hypers.

I'll probably wait for sale too, will get it at the very first sale it has.

Interesting!! Can I do for instance, Monster Trucks on an asphalt race or something completely nonsensical like Hypercars in the wild? :D

Edit: Also, do the cars have more distinct handling per model and type? For example would a high power Honda Civic handle like Understeer city or would a good ol' classic car spin easier?

I was told earlier in this thread that TCMF can import livery/vinyl groups from TC2 and UBI streaming is the source of that information.

Does anyone know in which video specifically that statement was made?
From the log of the thread at the time, I thought it was Behind The Wheels and played all the videos, but at least I couldn't find any such remarks on Youtube's subtitle function.

I believe in everyone who taught me at that time, but I would like to confirm the statement myself and feel relieved, so I would appreciate it if you could tell me.

You can do that too! I did run monster trucks on the last hawaii tour race, there was a few big jumps and driving on building roof tops for a bit. It is a race for street cars but still really fun with monster trucks, old screenshot I shared a few pages back:

I did try out a few other races like the 911 GT1 race on the highway swap to allow all hypercars is fun, the 911 Cup race in Porsche playlist swap to allow all touring cars is good too but I wish the race can be longer. I think the "replay" branch in main stage somehow randomise a touring car race on a route that was use for Raid cars, that was a disaster but is nice to see that such options is available.

The custom mode still need to be expanded, at the moment is just car classes, weather and modifier like penalty for contact I think. Will be nice if they can update it to allow more laps for circuit events and AI opponent car picker like in FH5.

They are fairly distinct, RWD and FWD feels very different but AWD feels a bit too rear bias for me. Cars handling in general is a huge improvement compared to TC2.

Do we know anything about release time (early access and regular)?

What time opened the last Motorfest beta?

Edit,
Early Access for TC2 was 6AM CEST

I've seen the Grand Race a few times on YouTube. Unfortunately it seems like these often turn into ram/wreck derbies from bad drivers.

Grand Race is one of the best new game modes. Chaotic and fun.

On another topic. Saw a video on RedBull Gaming. 36 sec in you can see a Jet Sprint Boat. Maybe a future update?

That boat was a cancelled PB in TC2 that they bring back to Motorfest, it's the Proto WR1.
