I know it would be more work to grind for parts, but I think I'd prefer it if they just made Street 1 and Street 2 into two completely separate categories, it would be simpler than both how it was before the update and how it is now.
It look like it's more of a grind because there are two categories. But my experience was that by the time I completed any nitro chemist set all other sets were already completed. It looks like an algorithm where that last part just refuses to show.
So having 2 separate categories wouldn't change much the grind.
Yesterday however I didn't realize I put a S2 nitro set on a S1 car and thought it disappeared, like a bug or something. Later I saw some strange numbers and realized what has changed.

I've just had another look, and they can maybe fix it if they just change the sorting algorithm. The S1 sets are actually in the list, they just aren't sensibly ordered. So, for example, I have a S2 car that has a partial magnet set, and is at 674 overall. It shows this before my complete magnet set that is on an S1 car, because it's at 600, even though it would be a full magnet set at 750 if it were put on an S2 car. They need to make it show all complete sets before anything else, whether they're on an S1 or S2 car.

Needless to say, to get a Prestige ticket in a custom mode, you must play custom modes in all categories available for that event.

In other words, Ocean 'N Sky is one of the playlists where you can get a Prestige ticket the fastest.

Currently, there is only one water vehicle available, and the only air vehicles are airplanes and helicopters.

Therefore, you can meet the requirements to get a Prestige ticket after just one or two custom mode plays.

However, it is important to note that helicopters are one of the slowest categories in the game, and in factory stock, they take about three times longer than airplanes for the same event. (Of course, the time limit is adjusted to suit the helicopter's performance...)

I found an interesting thread on reddit. The caption of this thread mentions a “common” problem with TCMF that unfortunately has not yet been resolved: the stupid moderation system and the reporting trolls who abuse it.

What's really interesting is the image OP attached.

In TCMF, when a livery is reported and the player is banned, a very severe penalty is imposed in which all liveries created by the player are lost.

However, for some reason this penalty also applies to Chase Squad and Rivals Edition, where the livery editor is not supposed to be available.

The liveries of these cars have a special lighting decal, which is why it has been speculated that the livery editor cannot be used, but can we technically say that the livery of these cars can be edited just like other cars?

I hope that this "glitch" will become an official specification in a future update, and that it will be possible to edit the livery of these cars.

As an aside, the Giulia Rivals Edition without the livery looks far cooler than that "cat" livery...

Last night I bought the T.50, drove it around the new map for a bit and then quit the game. I just don't feel like it's worth my time, especially when the payouts are soo pitifully low and the cars soo ridiculously expensive. I mean, why the hell does the T.50 cost less than an Evo 9? And why does a GR86 cost 318,000 bucks? This is GTA levels of price gouging and I'm soo thankful that GT and Forza have not gone down this route. Look I'm happy to put some effort in to acquire certain cars, but there's only soo much one can take before giving up and going to Forza Horizon. Moreover, the whole Motorfest structure with the playlists just suck. I want to drive what I want, where I want and when instead of being forced to drive certain vehicles in a certain order. I want to choose the cars that I've made my own instead of ones that are blatantly loaned to me. I don't mind if I have to drive certain cars for special events but that shouldn't make up the core gameplay. The developers obviously wanted a point of difference compared to Forza Horizon but it doesn't do it for me. I want freedom in all aspects of the gameplay because that's what an open-world game should be all about. In Forza Horizon, I can enjoy as many or as few cars as I like depending on what I want to do on any given day. Not only that but it's more fun to play and screw around in when you can't be bothered racing anyone. Motorfest feels boring in comparison and I'm not entertained at all - even when I am driving a T.50. I will not be going back to this game.

I tried to farm prestige and got 7970 pts so far for the 3 shortest playlists:
Drift 2 (7 events): 2000 pts
Ocean'n Sky (12 events): 2300 pts
Drift 1 (38 events): 3200 pts
You also get 10 pts every time you finish a race for the first time: + 470 pts

Sorry for the double.

I'm full in to give more options to players. Like a playground. But then how to handle progression and story? Like in Motorfest for example. When you play in playlist mode you are forced to use a vehicle. And it makes sense because NPC are constantly talking to you and commenting on the car you drive.
The problem is how to manage progression. Ivory decided that you need to complete a race to unlock another race. In FH5 you unlock all the races at once, and it's not ideal, many hate it.
My problem is why they forcing you to buy a car that is only needed for the challenges only after you complete the playlist. Even more absurd is the fact that usually the challenge can be done with the rental car in playlist mode.
I kind of like the playlist stile because it feels fresh compared to both previous games. But I don't like buying a specific car to start a playlist and then realizing every race need to be completed with a rental car to unlock another race.

Ok, S2 parts can work with S1 cars, but it doesn't work the other way. It technically does, but it keeps the 600.
Thanks, I had got a slightly misleading impression of how the new system works from a content creator. I had two nitro chemist sets before the update, one for S1 and one for S2. The S2 set can be put on an S1 car, and temporarily becomes 600, but you can tell the game knows it's different to a natively 600 set, as it says it is temporarily at 600. The S1 set can be put on an S2 car, but as you say, it remains at 600.

However, I think the best thing to do is to simply delete all natively 600 parts that you have, as all new parts you get are 750. I just did Hummer Express in an S1 car to get a few parts, and 100% of parts I got were 750, like the blue part here:

So I think if we all delete our natively 600 parts, the game will work better, and we won't get any new 600 parts like the one on the left.

The thing about the Crew games is they strongly reward the time you invest in them. Anyone who has played The Crew 2 is very strongly rewarded when they play Motorfest. For example, in this week's Motorfest summit, The Evo Black Knight Edition and 3000 GT No Rules Edition are good cars for two of the events, and I already had those from TC2 summits. My combined hours in TC2 and TCM is much lower than my FH5 hours, but I'm not struggling for money in TC2/M. In FH5 there are 21 cars I don't have, and there's no way for me to get them. They're never in the AH, and the backstage pass vote just adds stupid things like wheelspin cars instead of cars that are actually hard to get. Contrast that with TCM where they've just taken another step to reduce the non-availability of exclusive cars. For me, the driving in the Crew games is way more exciting than in Horizon, and the variety of events isn't just on another level to Horizon, it's like it's 10 levels higher or something. I got the new 20 point car in FH5 yesterday, and sure, it was quick and easy, but it needs to be quick and easy when it's that dull and repetitive every week.
