Sorry I'm using the DS4 controller not a wheel so I can't help. But I'm sure there's someone on here who can.

@evanzo7 are you using a wheel?

@sirjim73 I used a wheel once on it, I actually uploaded a video today of me using it as a matter of fact haha:

@GT6_Stig I plugged the wheel in a drove, I couldn't see any settings to muck about with.
To be honest for the type of game it is the wheel felt ok, didn't have to turn too much to get the car to turn.
Reversing and correcting a spin was a different story but just general driving felt ok. I am using a T300 as well.

Right, now that I found some time to spend with the game I'm finally able to elaborate what I was trying to understand earlier.

Here goes...

Question A:
As I said earlier, I'm having a hard time understanding how I can improve my car performance. I am aware that I can earn parts by doing missions and skill challenges, and the better my results, the better the rewards. However, why can't I just go into a shop and buy individual parts? What's the purpose of this menu, if I never (ever) seem to having anything to buy? Also, I am am able to take my Ford Focus into the street tuner, and buy a LVL 10 pack. But I cannot do the same with my 370Z. Why is that? Are these purely starter packs?

Question B:
I have recently unlocked the New York tuner. Bought a Ford Focus, and purchased the dirt spec. So far so good. Love the car. Did some skill challenges, and the game tells me the car level is too high. So, I am given the option to convert the rewarded part into bucks. That's a great idea!
But then I repeat the same challenge (or another one in the same vicinity) with the 370Z, and even though the rewarded part does not improve my car, I no longer get that option to convert said part into bucks. Why is that?

I honestly hope you guys can clear this out for me, because although I am enjoying the game (while tolerating the physics engine) I feel that my cars aren't competitive enough. Not to mention that the better my car handles, the more enjoyable it will be to drive long distances.

I'll answer both in one
You have a370Z dirt and can't do skill challenge, so you need to go to the tuner to BUY the parts you won from doing the skill challenge in the Focus.

I am working through the game currently.

Another tip to players for the car wreck parts is that the area of the wrecks is shown on the map so even though it doesnt say exactly where they are, most can be found with a little searching, so far at least. If I get stuck finding one I may ask here ...

For any newbies, one of the keys to the game seems to be to get the missions done fairly quickly as that way you level up quickly and unlock everything. I've just unlocked the south east area and the 3rd level of car.

Also, the locations are worth $2,000 each and there are hundreds of them so its worth doing them to get cash, as the cash is still limited (this far into the game at least). Haven't unlocked Way Out West yet...

Also, What perks did people get first? I have ignored the car stat boosts as you can win the races without them, and gone for the other perks so far such as the double down and the perk which shows things on the map within 600 yards.

Right then - back to the game... More career vids will go up on Youtube later :)
I went for extra cash from all events including faction and 30% off all cars, I am now on the level 7 of faction money, have a few faction points to spend at level 46. I'm just grinding the Ghost Town police chase Faction Mission in my Raid 370Z. Quick tip for anyone doing it, turn right and keep going across desert to outrun the heli and Raptors. Car level 400+ recommended. Chopper tops out about 140MPH. 7.5K every 2 minutes or so

One thing about the crew, which is a bit picky, is the fact that they completely messed up New York. Like, they put Niagara Falls and that little western piece of New York on Lake Ontario, while none of it is on Erie. Like Western New York includes the Erie Shoreline and Ontario Shoreline, but on this map its just Ontario.

And rather than Niagara Falls being a NW/SW position to New York City, its basically a North/South position. And I laugh at the fact that New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Jersey were all combined into Maine, New York, and Massachusetts.

I do understand they made the map smaller, and messed with it, but New York City really isn't even located in New York.

I noticed this too when playing the beta. I was like "Whoa, when did Niagara Falls move?"

The only two cities in the game that are in New Jersey are listed as being part of New York and they also look nothing like their actual counterparts. Ask how I know.

I'm currently visiting New Jersey right now (I do every year) and I must say: Jersey is a different driving experience. There are no laws here, I love that. It's also the only place where they seemed to put the houses down first, and then designed the roads around them. Absolutely zero grid planning. :)

It's kind of how they did Oakland out West. They completely overlooked that windy driving haven (a Western version of North Jersey with hills).

Not a real complaint though as I understand sacrifices had to be made. The map is absolutely amazing IMO.

Just traveled from Miami to Vegas and it was an lonely road trip through the night. It was magical seeing the Vegas neons from so far away.
But now I need a raid vehicle. I could easily go for a Dodge Ram, but then I saw the Hummer...
How can I get my hands on some serious cash at this stage? I feel that I'm progressing the story a bit too quickly for my own good.

Is there any way you can remap your controls at all, Ive found the section where you cans see what each button does but cannot alter them.

Thanks.

From what I've found, I don't think there is (atleast on ps4), which is crazy in this era. I have found the default settings pretty logical though.

Except when you wish to change gears. I prefer the opposite (UP to change a gear DOWN, and DOWN to change a gear UP).

Ah, I drive automatic as my reactions are realllly slooooooooooow
And yes I know that is usually the slowest option in a game, but I find I have enough to think about when driving at 150mph without trying to remember to change gears as well. Automatic works best for me in games.

That gear change setting does sound odd though.

From what I read, there seem to be plenty of glitches and things still left to be sorted (although I haven't seen many so far personally), so as Kaz might say, its always possible that they might add this in a "future update"TM coming "soon"TM

Well ive sorted the wheel out, Thanks guys.

Now i have another question, Ive bought the season pass but cannot see or access new cars. It has been installed, Do i need to unlock them ?

I just got to the point in the game that you are given 100'000 CC... What should i do with that? i don't know weather or not to save them or buy a new car?! Please help!

EDIT: was just playing the game and a cutscene came up and in it my car, instead of driving, was sliding around the corners upside down, making sparks going everywhere. Awesome glitch.

I invested most of my CCs into the improvements or whatever they are called in inklish. :D You know, 3rd menu from the left in your HQ where you can improve your cash payout per mission by X%, improve your acceleration by X% and so on.

Loving the game and finished the story mode. Thought I'd try out some of the PvP but just never seem to get into any lobbys, I was waiting for nearly 2 hours yesterday. Anyone else experiencing this?

Also could do with some PSN friends who play if anyone fancys adding me. Stoatie82

Perks - they're called perks :P

I'm saving the cc's for buying cars as so far I'm getting lots of perks through levelling up. Though if there are a lot of perks left when I get to level 50 I might use them for perks instead.

It seems like cash is easier to get at the end though with the ghost town mission and way out west mission.

Basically I'm hedging my bets

Does anyone find it easy to get golds on missions or skills as I'm struggling to get any so far. Is there a general trick to getting golds...? Or am i just crap at the game as usual

Missions were the only place I struggled to get golds/platinums. I found the easiest skills to get them were slaloms and jumps, at least with every class bar raid.

Used jumps to grind for lvl 50 parts and finally got my performance spec Focus to full 50.

The two fastest ways to make money are Way Out West (Mountain States, Raid car) or another chase in St Louis. Both give 8800 at level 50 and Way Out West takes a mere 2 minutes in a fast Raid 370Z.

They are automatically added to your HQ. Simply go to your HQ and they'll be added to your collection.

Can you please tell me what you get as I only have 7 cars and ive had to buy them.

Cannot even see a download in that section either.
