The Crew: Wild Run Edition

No you get those two cars for free, as well as the first 4 DLC packs for free (when they are released). ;)

So they haven't been released yet then.

Thanks for your help, any idea when they are released ?

Weird. The 67' GT500 circuit spec is definitely already in the game as an AI opponent. I ve driven one of the fraction missions against it.

The first four? So that means there will be more than four DLC planned for the future, right? In that case, isn't a season pass suppose to get you all DLC as they come out? This seams to be the case with DriveClub. You pay one price and get absolutely everything as they get released.

Content is in the game, we just can't access it yet. I have just raced a Raid spec Ford Focus, even though I can't have one myself.

So let me get this rite, we pay for a season ticket which gives us new DLC cars. And when they arrive as some have, we have to pay again either by credits won in the game ( extortionate amount) or buy credits online to purchase something we have already paid for ? Have you seen the ingame prices for LaFerrari, Mercedes, Pagoni, etc etc

Something very wrong here.

If your on PS4 and haven't got the cars you are not alone. I pre-ordered the game and was supposed to get this. I entered the code and the PS store accepted it but I never got the car in game. Here is a thread about it on the Ubisfort forum apparently they are "working on it" BS.

Is there anyway to get the Mini as DLC?

I really like how it looks like a JCW mini race car :D.

The Shelby GT500 is in the game, the pre-order version is probably inferior anyway because they are locked to Full Stock and Street specs only whereas the regular versions have more specs available. For example, I still need to buy the regular version of the Z4 because the Pre-order bonus version can only be Street Spec or Full stock, when the regular version can be Full Stock, street, Performance and Raid spec.

The pre order cars are only good in the beginning of the game, they quickly outgrow their usefulness.

Season passes should provide all DLC content at no further charge for at least a year, though maybe there are some games that go further - but generally it seems to be an annual thing (thinking of the two Borderlands 2 season passes here.)

Its shocking that they can do this. I've emailed sony/psn as its one major Ripoff

Apparently this is a known issue from release and looking on the Ubisoft website there are hundreds of guys and gals that have paid for season pass or pr-ordered the game and not received anything.

Im ringing psn tomorrow and going to demand a refund.

That would be ideal but it doesn't usually work out that way, just look at the Stormy Island content for Horizon 2, the Season pass doesn't include it and the DLC pack was released 3 months after the game.

Well, maybe not in all cases and I can't talk about FH2 as I don't have the console - but in my experience, the usually has been on the positive side. Mostly 'older' games, I know but these have all done what I mentioned: Far Cry 3; Driveclub; Watch Dogs; Borderlands; Borderlands 2 (the latest BL remains to be seen I suppose, as that hasn't really started producing much DLC yet.)

I'm sure there are more, but in my flu'ed out state right now, I can't think straight ;)

That's why I am slightly p:censored:ed off that it didn't work totally useless now but imagine having that at the start of the game would have definitely helped.

Hope you feel better soon, the flu is everywhere this year and it's been a rough one from what I've been told. It's a shame that the Season Pass standards seem to be changing from the last gen, at least from what I'm seeing on the Xbox One. I miss the days of having a full game at launch too.

I used the Z4 and the 2015 Mustang Street edition for all of about 10 minutes in the beginning of the game. It was nice having them as an option but the real fun is taking a starting car all the way to Circuit Spec, at least for me. I mostly used my starting 370z and then alternated with my Camaro until I was level 40. I already rebought the Dodge Ram I received from pre-ordering because I wanted Raid Spec and the nerfed preorder version cannot be upgraded.

It's not really PSN/Sony's fault. It really is just the fault of Ubisoft. And if you bought the season pass from the PS Store, I doubt they will give you a refund, but you never know.

Cheers - definitely not going to work tonight :ill:

I was afraid when I saw your post that perhaps the season pass thing might be changing. Here's hoping that the games that do, teach the games that don't how it should be done.

I dont know the law in your country but here in the UK if there is an issue with anything purchased we have to go to the place of purchase 1st not the manufacturer. In this issue I have paid for something that I haven't received even though some of it has been released. I paid the PSN store for these goods they are our 1st port of call.

Sony/PSN sold this it is up to them to provide the goods they are advertising and selling.

That is actually laughable. At least with Codemasters they had the decency to lock out content before the DLC is released, even though it's already on the disc. *sigh* What has the gaming industry become...

I'll just leave this here:
Let’s take it out of the gaming world and out into reality here for a minute. Imagine for a moment you’re holding £175.95 in your hands. You could throw that money onto owning every single car in The Crew. Or, for £129.99, you could buy a day driving around Silverstone in a real Aston Martin V8 Vantage S. This even comes with a pair of tickets to one of the days in the British Formula One Grand Prix event. After all of that you’re still left with enough cash to get liberally plastered at the bar or get into a fairly nice hotel room.

The answer to that question would not be very family friendly.

In regards to the micro-transactions, it's sad so many studios/publishers are adding them into the games, Forza 4 annoyed me with them, Horizon and Horizon 2 as well. I've just learned to tune them out when the in-game prompts come. I don't see why anyone would pay for them in the Crew, it's so easy to make money in this game.

I understand not wanting to grind for money, but if someone is too lazy to use the Send Friends option on Faction missions, then that is really bad. I make anywhere from $60K to $100K a day without even trying that hard. I could easily make $420,000 a week without much effort. If I wanted to buy every car in the game, according to the article I would need $2,574,749, which would take about 6 weeks to earn that much without any grinding or very little grinding. If I wanted to grind faction missions, you can cut that time in half.

Even without using the Send Friends option, you can make money very quickly in this game with PvP races and grinding the shorter faction missions like Way Out West where you can make $8340 every 2 to 3 minutes, which is about 500K an hour.

It doesn't seem too bad when you put it that way. But not everyone has friends that has the same game. And I've read PvP races takes a very long time to start for some people.

IMO any arcade game that requires grinding is an example of bad design. Sims I can understand, but not arcade racers. By the time you finished the story mode, you should have unlocked everything and used every car at least once. Criterion is the best example of this (Burnout Paradise, Hot Pursuit 2010, Most Wanted 2012). There's no credits system, new cars come thick & fast and when you finish career mode you've experienced everything the game has to offer. Then you're free to tackle multiplayer and just HAVE FUN. With grinding you get so sick and bored with the game by the time you unlock everything, you don't want to bother with multiplayer anymore.

I got THE CREW on XMAS Eve. Spent about 25 hours on the game and I am done with it. I have at least one car at car level 1000+ in each spec. I am at level 50. I have all my perk points spent. I have platinum parts for 6 cars. The only event I even consider doing is Way Out West. $8800 every 2 minutes flat in my Raid 370Z at car level 1080. Now to answer the quotes.

I don't like grinding because its boring as hell. On the Crew, turn left, drive straight, dont hit a tree, BORING! I can't use the SEND FREINDS functions because NONE OF MY FREINDS have this game. Probably because it aint that great. A game that gets cut down from £50 to £25 in 2 weeks clearly isn't a good game. 2 of my freinds have the crew out of 22. 15 of them play racing games on PS4. 2 have the crew. What does that say about the crew? Also if I do use them, I also fail Also I have run into 4 players during my time, and I don't fast travel. And the levelling is far too fast. I was at lvl 50 by the time I finished the Vegas missions. The game is a bit too easy AND half the specs I can't use! The Raid F150 is shown TWICE ingame but I can't use it. I see a circuit Shelby, cant use it. Nothing to do on this anymore. Also, PVP is a bust, tried all servers at many times of day, not a single race going on. I think I might just sell this damn game

It is meant to be a "rpg" of sorts. (Where your car is your avatar is what they said iirc.)

So a bit of grinding is not that surprising, I am one who doesn't mind spending time to get what I want though.

My goal is to get lvl 50 parts for all specs so there is plenty for me left to do. Not to mention I, like in TDU want to unlock the entire map.

For me personally I have not enjoyed an arcade racer as much since the original TDU.

Well ive just finished the Landmark tour, Basically it covers all landmarks in the USA. Takes around 4 hours of racing.
Leve of cars are apr 650 dirt type ( rally) This is the first real test of my T300 GTE wheel I had ffb set at just over halfway and my arms and hands are still buzzing as I type. Lovely and smooth on the tarmac in fact very little ffb unless you crash.
Its another story when you get off road the power in the motor is very strong. Brilliant race loved every minute although i came second Doh got lost in New York got in a right pickle ended up 5 mind down but pulled it all back bar 15 secs so happy with 2nd place. Will be doing this again.

Edit::: There was a parch on the crew this morning and it appears to have solved a lot of issues, I get all my season pass stuff now, and the ffb has been smoothed out a lot off road, Glad about that wont need body building classes now LOL

Looks like Ubi may pulled a really dumb move and removed Way Out West. Can anyone confirm this?

http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/991951-Way-Out-West-Mission-gone-Forums

If you ever need more confirmation that they want to shove microtransactions down your throat, this is it. It's not like WOW is a glitch either like the Mercedes VGT exploit in GT6's early days. They could've just patched the event difficulty or something.

Man I'm glad I didn't splurge on a PS4 and bought this game on release.
