The Crew: Wild Run Edition

How about the Buggy? Is it any good?

In one word. Bouncy! That thing is bigger than a semi. Seriously, the name Buggy is a understatement, that thing is enormous.

However, like every car in the game, if you put some work into it, the car gets better...slightly.

I also plan to give the buggy a try out this week.

@Deko Wolf-GTPT I tried removing my 2 glitched friends and re- adding them but my challenges are still showing as offline. All my crew playing friends have reported the same issue.

As much as I love playing the game, there are way too many major glitches still left after 2 betas and such a long development period.

What do the challenges actually do/involve? As I'll never seemingly get to do any I'm wondering what I'm actually missing out on ...

And what's a good Raid car level to make things a little easier?

I like my 2011 Mustang Raid car and the Ruf 3400 Raid car. I just bought the BMW Z4 Raid Spec last night and got it up over level 1000, I will test it tonight but from what I've heard the Z4 is one of the top Raid cars as well.

One of the challenges I did was find two Wreck parts, they vary from what I understand, One challenge is to earn $15,000 doing stunts, find a Data station etc.

970 is good, 1080 is enough to outrun any police Raptors.

I'm thinking of streaming this later, going to try and get an Aventador for perf and Platinum it. 400K needed, I have 5K. Without WOW this is going to take a while.

Well I'm gonna have to do some grinding then since my 370Z Raid is barely at 600.

I had performance issues when I first bought it when I hit Vegas. Hillclimbs are the raids specialty, go straight up the hill, forget the bonuses, beat the ghost and an easy gold! 600 aint bad, but still needs tuning for later events and to outrun those Raptors. They hit 110MPH through the desert.

But there's one race where you have to go to a point and there is a Buggy as an AI. When we hit a flat area, he takes off.

Had fun at the Bonneville Salt Flats yesterday, hit 230MPH in my circuit Viper. 205 in my Street Skyline. I then did donuts with a random person. He was in an 8C, I was in my Viper. Then we drag raced, I won.

Fastest way to earn cash on the crew is currently White Mountain Loop, just north of NYC. With the max faction mission bonus cash perk, you earn $8800 every 2-3 minutes. Around 16K every 5 minutes, 4K every minute, 240K every hour.

I use a Dirt spec Focus RS 1108 and my fastest time is 2:36

I like a challenge when earning money so I play the hour long races such as Highway Child and Coast to Coast a couple of times a day. Get around $80k each time.

I would but its much slower. 88K an hour instead of 8.8K for 5 minutes. Besides, the R34 on that race always catches up near the end.

Although I don't do them very often, I find public PvP lobbies to be much quicker; it pays me somewhere around 17,000 bucks per race, and a lot of the races themselves are very short, taking less than 5 minutes (3 in some cases) to complete. However, be careful about what group of people you play with...

Aside from that, I find sending my friends on faction missions and doing them for me pays fairly well on the side. I can send you on these faction missions from time to time, and as long we're on each other's friends lists, you can do the same to me. I can provide a screenshot if no one gets what I'm saying.

New DLC content was released yesterday to season pass holders, the 3 cars go straight to your headquarters. I bought performance spec for each and did a quick tune to 1100 plus using my fast level up method on all 3 of them . Then drove them a fair amount, here are some quick impressions. The Viper is very fast and loose, a beast of a car in the straights but a little slippery in the corners, as it should be. The Zagato is by far my favorite, not only is it insanely fast but it grips very well in the corners, much more so than the Viper, a joy to drive. The Abarth is a very zippy car in performance spec as well, I proceeded to build it into a compact land rocket and took it on a drive from northern Florida to St louis, it's not an easy car to drive at a high level, probably because it's so light. You can fly off the road quickly, if you're not careful There is a bit of a learning curve with this one at a high level in performance spec. This content will be available next week to non season pass holders, cars can be bought individually or in a pack.

Thanks for this @DDastardly00

I was wondering how the DLC cars would work. So, in summary, once you have bought the car as DLC you don't need to then go buy the "stock" car again within the game, BUT from what you say, you DO have to pay for different spec versions of the car.

It also seems like there is a big variation in the way the 3 cars handle, which is what there should be, based on the fact that the cars are very different from each other in real life. So I am actually happy to see you confirm this. I just wish there was more than 12 cars in the Season Pass - at the moment I don't feel 12 cars is worth the cost at full price, but that's just my opinion.

That is correct, the cars are sent straight to your headquarters, all you have to buy is the spec (or specs) for each car. I didn't buy the Street spec yet for the Abarth, but I plan to soon. Since cars can be bought individually next week, I thought it would be a good idea to post my impressions. If I were to buy just one, I would definitely get the Zagato, without question it's just an awesome machine.

I done it, takes 3 freinds for me as all my friends are low level. I'd be happy to do this, I'm level 50 so you won't have problems there

On my PC Crew game, I reduced the resolution (dramatically) so it can be playable. However, there are still some events that I can't pass because of the way the server is with timed races. Anyone care to help me?

The 360 Crew game is just fine, so I don't need help with it (unless I want to see recommendations for car levels).

Also, those challenges seem to be different than mine.

Why were they down for nearly a week or more?

Why were they down for nearly a week or more?
Don't know

BTW don't change your cars plates, you'll see what's in the pic above

Aren't they free for season pass holders? And available for everyone else next week?

I own the Season Pass and I went into the PS Store and they appeared under the add-ons for free available to download.

BTW, I wish the Master Account who owns the Season Pass could also allow sub-accounts to receive access to Season Pass content, including the 458 and 12C.
