The Crew: Wild Run Edition

I've bought the Crew Complete Edition in the last Steam sale, but haven't installed it (backlogging games is a disease I tell you :P). With cars like the MX5 that are listed as summit rewards, if you are not playing during those months does that mean you can't get it forever?

If you don't get it through the Summit, you're still able to buy it with in-game currency a few weeks later.

I ****ing hate Hold the Crown.

I regret paying $10 for the Wild Run, waste of money. The only thing I marginally enjoy is the drifting, which is absolutely useless for getting money which makes it useless since all of the new cars and upgrades cost a million points.

What's the point of a racing game with no races? Unistalling for the third time I guess...

I'm gonna give it away to somebody at work.

If you guys want an extra person to send on missions you can add me on Xbox I guess, but I don't won't be playing.

So you are uninstalling just because of one event?

Hold the crown yea it can be a little annoying but just have to change lobbies, different people different set of preferences.
There are plenty of races that can be done just that if you get a lobby that they all just do one event probably a crew inside there. Nothing you can do but change a pvp lobbies.

I'm quite confused on how to enter in these Summits. Can someone give me some tips please?

There are 2 ways.
FreeDrive Challenges or FreeDrive stunts.

Easiest way is to do FD Stunts without a crew get to level 3 and then you are entered into the qualifier.
Can also do FD Challenges and get to level 2 but I haven't had any luck with that.

Actually both ways are very easy. You can also do FD challenges all by yourself.

Challengers are better so you don't have to worry about the bikes,
Stunts are good if you are also trying to do an award or two.

Spot on, but I'm sure that these cars can also be very competitive, when in the right hands:

Street: Mini Cooper, Ford Mustang (either 2011 or 2015 M.Y. will do)
Dirt: Skyline R34, Ford Focus
Perf: Ferrari 458, Koenigsegg Agera, Ferrari F40, Lotus Evora
Raid: Ford Mustang '11
Circuit: Ford GT, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lamborghini Murcielago
Drift: Skyline R34
Monster: Ford F-150
Drag: RUF RT 35

Luckily i just brought a mini:D Also the ford gt has become one of my favorite cars to use when it comes to circuit spec. As for the Lotus evora i never used that in performance races before. I remember when me and you was racing in a pvp room and you whoop are ass with that car lol. I think if i use it i think i can get a couple of victories with it.

Is there something I'm missing in terms of the drag races? It's consistently what I place the lowest in in terms of the Summit qualifiers, even with my Stingray sitting at something like 1080. Is it just the wrong car?

I'm not terribly concerned, since I can pretty reliably hit the Platinum cut-off without having to do either the Crew Time Trial or the car-specific event, but it'd be nice to know.

You just need more practice. I tried drag racing when I was in PLAYlive Nation at the mall, it's fun but not something I am an expert on.

Perfect burn, perfect start, perfect shifts. Even have experimented with when the best time is to use boost (it tends to be in the earlier part of the run, after you've completed shifting).

I dunno, perhaps you could try getting a few more upgrades for it? You'd be surprised at how much of a difference it can make sometimes.

I think there is a difference in what you pick for the drag races too.

My 1299 spec Dodge Challenger even on a perfect run is still quite away from the top of the leaderboard by 1 to 2.5 seconds depending on the track being used.

Cars like both the RUF's have a noticeable advantage here, I can't say that for 100% certain, but it makes sense given they are more streamlined and have their engines in the middle and back for weight distribution.

What's the grip figures like one them? Engine in the back over the drive wheels.

Did some quick YouTube research and found some decent videos with the answers. :)

The CTR with the base level 40 package (749 spec) has a grip level of 7434 and the RT-35 with the same setup has a grip level of 7663.

For context, a Dodge Challenger with the same setup has a grip level of 6166 and the Stingray has a grip level of 6699.

And this is before you add platinum parts with bonuses on top of that.

Some people do drag racing with a crew member or members and they get a draft off the other and that creates a faster time. If you invite a crew member then most likely you and the other person will have a way faster time.

Well looks like with the new update they really changed a lot of things,

You now can have a higher chance of CC the higher you get on the Qualifier, 80% CC and 20% parts for a Platinum Qualifier. Also they have changed where you get 25% of extra bonus if maxed out on parts, with Smart Loot. (So no more double money) Which I think it's good but bad. (I think in like PVP yea that would work but in Highway child I don't think you should limit it)

:irked: Double cash made payouts just about bearable. 🤬 this

I don't see why they keep making the grind worse, the friend sending on faction missions gave early players a huge advantage already but at least that change was justified given how quick money could be made without doing anything. However, smart loot is different, paid double for months and now suddenly they nerf it?

I think the reason why they nerf it was because they are giving more percentage bonus on CC for summit events now. So they want you to spend real money to gain bonuses than to do double money

I don't see the relation, Summit is just a Wild Run thing? The double cash was for everything so it made things generally more worthwhile.

If you don't have the wild run they want you to spend money to get it, to get better rewards.
Reddit is saying that reducing the money flow in bucks is a business move to gain more revenue in CC or other forms of gain for them.

I have an issue,

When I have other players around me, all I see is their name and not their car. Is this a 360 problem or server?

Logged in and got a boost pack from the One Long Day qualifier for 20% Bucks/XP/Rep for 3 days. Heck yeah. Time to make some money.
I find the story mission Beat Down to be a really good mission to grind for bucks and to 1299 your Street specs. Doing it with a Street spec Hummer, and if I play my cards right, I can finish it in like 20 seconds and earn 4,000B. :D

So you would get 100% (base) plus 20% (Bonus) plus 25% (Extra) If maxed out.
Before update it would be 100% (base) plus 20% (Bonus) plus 100% (Extra/base) Maxed out

Edit: Sure is a big mess when you get 3,000 from the summit qualifier then the smart look gives you 750. I want my 3,000 bucks back. :grumpy:

Just done some Summit challenges, would I need at least a gold or platinum to get the MX5?

If you want to ensure yourself the MX-5, you need to get a Platinum in the Summit final. However, Gold will do just fine considering you may get parts, kits or Crew Credits if you don't get the prize car.

At the Summit menu, bring up the 'Rewards' menu, it breaks it down how rewards work with different medals. Platinum has 100% chance for prize car, Gold has 50% chance, Silver has 10%.

Worth remembering that finishing every qualifier gets you a 5% boost on your prize car chance, so you can get a total of 30% extra over your medal chance - right now I'm sitting at 80% on a Gold medal.

-Also, as more idiots contribute to the rankings, you can expect to be bumped up a few places. :D
