What of the rumour of Johnny Depp playing the riddler, did those get discredited? I also can't help think of Catwoman because of that famous line Lucious says when he shows Wayne his new suit.
Her stints in Brokeback Mountain and Havoc convinced m she can bring the physical appeal and in Rachel Getting Married she convinced me she can act.Anne Hathaway (oh, yes!) is also in; she's been cast as Selina Kyle. There's no word on whether she'll be playing Catwoman (please, Mr. Nolan!), but she's in. It's a long way from THE PRINCESS DIARIES to THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
Tom Hardy I am unsure about because the only role of his I am really familiar with is Star Trek Nemesis.
And, of course, INCEPTION. That's the role that landed him a place in RISES, though Bane is a far cry from the ambiguously gay British forger he played in INCEPTION.
Which I haven't seen. Baby and all. I've seen one film in the theaters in the past year.
Nolan has said several times that his films won't deal with Robin. Batman is still very early in his career as a crime-fighter, so it's too early to take on a siekick. Which is totally understandable. I also think he might have had some trouble with Dick Grayson's origins - I don't think a teenage circus performer would work that well in the Nolanverse. That said, there's some pretty decent stuff in the Jason Todd storylines (unpopular as he was), particularly A Death In The Family and Todd returning as the Red Hood. Then again, Nolan would have to find a more-plausible explanation for Todd surviving the explosion that killed him other than Superboy Prime resetting reality in his escape from a prison dimension. And you probably couldn't touch on the Red Hodd at least until one film (and probbaly two to be safe) after Todd's introduction. Which means we probably wouldn't see him until BATMAN 5 or 6.I'm sorry but I have to ask...
WHERE IS ROBIN?
Agreed. I think having Bruce have Robin still in training and then having Batman defeated by Bane in the end would be a great way to introduce a Robin trilogy, but I doubt that will happen.

To save repetition, I draw you your attention back to this post from May.Welcome to club (and thanks for the reminder...it's going to be another 3 years with Kid No.2 on the way). Just saw the Dark Knight last month, and I also felt Batman Begins was far better at telling a story; which means I'll see this next one in 2012 or 2013.
I just don't see a Robin movie holding up an entire plot, let alone three movies; that's like a Plasticman or Aquaman movie...No thanks.
Nah, Nolan won't go in for a GREEN LANTERN crossover. He's specifically designed his films to be based in reality, and he's removed all elements of the comics that touch on the supernatural. Given that Hal Jordan is part of an interplanetary police force (or whatever; I never got into the Green Lantern), there's no way he'd be included in the Nolanverse.
Hell, I'm surprised that Marvel sanctioned Thor to appear in Joss Whedon's THE AVENGERS given that Jon Favreau kept the IRON MAN films similarly grounded in reality (although knowing Whedon, Thor's presence in THE AVENGERS won't be weird at all).
Besides, there's plenty of characters in the Batverse to make decent stories out of without resorting to cross-overs. I can see RISES using elements of PREY, KNIGHTFALL and THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, the last of which I think has a very suitable ending for a Nolan film.
If you're referring to opinion, I'd agree as I also like Batman Begins a bit more than The Dark Knight.
If you mean just being outdone, then, no.
Honestly, I like Iron Man and the newer Hulk movie better than both Batmans. And then I like Batman Begins better. By the end of The Dark Knight I was thinking, "I get it, must fix the city, be a shining example, blah, blah, blah."OMG... sereously? I didnt think anyone liked Batman Begins more than The Dark Knight.... I dont see how anyone could think that. The Dark Knight was like... so freaking epic it was just AMAZING. Im not sure if any superhero movie will ever pass it. Hopefully the spiderman reboot will take a page from Nolan and make it much grittier and more realistic than the HORRIBLE toby mcguire versions. Also, the Iron man series is OK... I thought the newer Hulk was solid and hopefully the Captain America and Thor movies dont dissapoint so the Avengers movie can be good.
The reports unanimously agree that any scenes with Pence will take place thirty years to the main plot. Ra's being immortal is too silly for Nolan's grounded-in-reality approach. Likewise the Lazarus Pits resurrecting someone.
Besides, if they wanted to bring Ra's al Ghul back, surely they'd just re-cast Liam Nesson in the role?
