Yes, but my PC is low spec. Core2Duo 1.6Ghz, 4GB DDR2 RAM and a Nvidia GeForce 7300GT (512Mb).

I would start a new profile with no mods , take a job and see if the problem has gone. If so , there's a mod , or a remnant of one that is causing the AI truck issue. SCS changed some file definitions a while back and I had some problems too. I have since updated all my AI truck / traffic / trailer packs and it's all been working fine.

If you still have the problem on the new profile , you may have a corrupt file somewhere. I would also try loading an older save game , just to see if that is the same thing happens. If so , roll back to a previous game version , then back to the current one (1.20) Are you running through Steam ?

Problem solved, the Kenworth K100 was the cause of the issue so I removed it and all is back to normal.

Dumb question but is there a way to activate overdrive? My Mercedes and Daf idle quite high at highway cruising speeds.

It should go into gear under the automatic configuration by default depending on speed and load. Might need a more power engine in your truck. I was on auto for a long time. I switched to semi auto with the G27 recently. I am driving the Peterbilt 351, bot its so much more fun with 18 forward and 4 reverse gears. LOL. With sequential you really need to be on the ball going up hill with a load.

..Or just disconnect the speed limiter and put the hammer down like me. Well, being honest I usually sit on around 102 - 105 km/h..if I've been consuming an alcoholic substance prior to playing the game I will usually keep her on 110 - 120 depending on the truck and load. No way am I sitting there doing 80 km/h.. nope!

Lol very well detailed on the outside, interior is not accurate and personally can't see $25 in it, especially when the entire game itself can be purchased from Steam for less.

Yeah , I spent the last couple of months resisting the purchase for those reasons. I finally caved in on the basis that a) I would never really know if they were worth the money without buying. b) I was going to spend that amount on other gaming content and I would definitely get more use from the trucks.
From the few hours I have spent in the K200 and T908 , they are not worth the money IMO. Yes they are very detailed , the sounds are 10/10 but they are taxing on the PC and the paint options are buried within the .scs files and don't simply show up in the paint shop.
I have no trouble adding and activating skin mods , but this requires knowledge beyond my level. For the price , it should come with a one click installer !
That aspect alone has left a bitter taste.
The facebook groups connected to RTA and the skin builders can be aggressive and volatile , an unhealthy level of elitist fanboyism exists there.

If you don't care about the cost and have a very beefy PC , I'd say go for it. But considering the level of quality of free models from RJL , Ohaha , 50keda , Jazzycat and many others , these are way overpriced.

The beacon I have is the replacement for Space Beacon. A more modern and better looking lightbar. They just released a new version that allows the lights to show on front and back.

It has its own sounds , similar to some of the American trucks I have tried , but better. The sounds are top shelf , I'll give them that. The exhaust brake is the best Ive heard.

Yeah the Jake Brake is amazing on the 389 with the Cat C15 as well. For the Peterbilt the more powerful engines do not make a difference in sound. There is 3 engines manufacturers (Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Cat), but I always go with he most powerful one. The mid RPM range on the Cat C15 is a bit generated but the idle is perfect.

I am unsure about anyone else, but I am get a severe increase in game crashing. I have disabled mods from B4rt and I seem to disable all other mods but the current Jazzycats ones. I run the beta so I am at 1.21xx right now. I find this alot in my game log.txt after each crash;

Do you have a trailer mod for the traffic? Maybe change the position up in the mod manager, as some mods need to load before certain other mods.

Could be beta problems too. I don't think they changed any definitions since 1.20 but I'm not smart enough to know how the internals of the game work tbh
Do you have a lot of AI trucks driving around without trailers ?

I have had a few crashes when closing the game lately. I have also noticed "Unable to find addon hookup" appearing in my log too. Coincidentally , I had 6 Hella double burners in the grille of my DAF XF 105 , and they have strangely disappeared. I can't even find the node to replace them in the customiser.
I'm on 1.20.1.

Only issue I've had lately is the AI Truck traffic disappears with all K100 versions, even the newest ones. Not sure if any others have had this issue on 1.20.

Sad News here, I cannot run any JazzyCat traffic packs at all. It seems that the beta is wrecking anything that is a traffic mod. I can only run the trucks mods, and UI environmental, and the tractor in traffic mod. . I have the AI police mod, but I don't dare do anything right now.
