Very nice. What takes my interest is the Oculus Rift support. I was looking at this cool gadget for iRacing, was doubting to buy it. Not sure what it takes to get it working.

Can't wait to try out the new AI. I'll be a happy boy tonight when I get home from work :D

Are you talking about this mod @Dean ? It would make like a lot easier if the payouts were a little bit higher.

I don't think that's what I've got, but you can try downloading it and see how the payouts are, Carlos. If nessesary, I might be able to edit them to fit your specific wants. :)

I'm looking forward to the new version of ProMods, which'll be out tonight at around 1-2AM GMT. 👍

Well I've acquired a new laptop so this game will soon be bought. Looking forward to some ETS and iRacing.

Yes good idea! I'll try it out and see how the payments are. I need to get 'inside' the mod scene a bit more. I'm scrolling through the ProMods forum now. Not sure where to look but tonight at home I'll take a closer view of it all. What I'm most interested in are improvements, like different loads and things for my truck. Also signs down the roads, those kind of things. I'm actually not sure what I want since I have no clue what is available...

edit;
@Dean , I've been reading through the comments and it seems that mod doesn't work anymore since an update some time ago. Would you like to share the mod you are using?

Going to do some trucking now. Just installed the update :)

edit 2;
Having fun :D

I have downloaded the ProMods 1.6 mod in 1, generated the .scs file, activated all 3 in game but now it crashes on the last bit of loading.. Anyone having experience with this?

Not that I'm not doing the same, but quit hogging two forums Carlos :P:P

It seems that I need to get the dust of of ETS2 and have a look at 1.9 and hopefully with a working ProMods.
Maybe I can find some time this weekend.

I haven't got any problems with ProMods 1.6 and V1.9 - so far. :P As for the economy mod, Carlos, I've tried searching around for it and it seems it's not available anywhere anymore. I've uploaded it, along with some other mods I use (I also use ProMods (:P) and Megastore V18, but since they are quite large files, I didn't include them), to my Dropbox. I've not tested all of them throughoutly with V1.9 yet, so I can't promise they'll work.

Thanks a lot Dean! When I get back on the pc I'll download it.

Strange my game just doesn't start up. It sees all 3 the files, all activated, loads fine untill just the tiny last bit and then crashes. I'm running v1.9 with v1.6, no further mods installed.

Tried to start a new game but doesn't help either..

Haha @Flex0r you caught me ;)

Try searching around and see if somebody has some solution, on the ProMods site... Everybody is very friendly there, just like here -- especially that guy named Dean.

I tried but didn't see anything similar. But no problem, I'll wait a day because it's all just released. Maybe some one else experiences the same, if not I'm going to make a thread to ask for help.

I can't download it. Either I put up with a 1 hour download for EACH of the files, or I pay to get a faster download, which I can't, because I am trying to save money currently. I just think that's plain stupid.

Well I've seen that you have quite the good connection compared to me. I live in the part of Denmark where awesome internet is anything above 3 up/down. Downloading 419MB at 0.5Mbps isn't the fastest thing in the world.

Guys, just a friendly tip; if your game says something like "unknown unit" select ignore. It's apparently for alternative mouse control. I ended up with it on my wheel, so my mouse kept going downwards on the screen. I managed to reset it though. 👍

I finally dipped my toes into this game just the other day, unfortunately I can't work out how to correctly set up my DFGT. The steering is roughly 45 degrees left and 45 degrees right. Making the steering crazily sensitive. Plus it has no force feedback until 90 degrees either way and then it's like full on.

Can anyone give me a bit of help as a newbie computer gamer and newbie wheel user I have no idea what I'm doing.

Yea, it's not fun.

I did just download a Scania 4 mod (3 minutes :P). I have yet to try it, need to finish my current job first. But it looks pretty sweet. http://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=131818

That does look pretty sweet! Going to try that one out too :D

Did you calibrate it?

I think so, but it would only go round like 90 degrees right and then stop.

Are you sure the wheel is set up the same as the game thinks? For example; I can select on the wheel itself how much degrees I want, but like with iRacing I can alter the options ingame too. If those two don't match » disaster :D (it should be 900)

I'm not sure, where should the sensitivity and the deadzone sliders be Ingame.

I'm not sure where exactly but it's somewhere in the menu screen you get when the game is loaded, under your rotating truck.

Sorry, I mis wrote, I know where they are but how should the sliders be, fully left/right/middle etc.

Deadzone should be as low as possible I think. I have sensitivity at full but I don't know how it'll work with the DFGT.

I think I'll look online tonight for a tutorial to use DFGT with ETS. I can normally just wing it.

So, I have seen ETS 1 and 2 for £5 in a local supermarket. Can I ask, what is the scale? Is a 1,000 mile delivery really 1,000 miles? Or does it take say an hour to do this journey.

Its scaled even smaller than ets 2 I think. Even though the map looks bigger on ets 1 the actual world size is much larger in ets 2 and it takes longer in real life to do deliveries.

According to the SCS Forums the scales are 19:1 in Europe, 15:1 in UK and 3:1 in cities in ETS2. 👍
