Which manufacturer will you sign your contract with?

Thanks. I thought so. Kind of sucks if you get shunted off though. Should allow all and just take the top score for the day/round
I'm not sure how the real seasons will be structured but currently only your top 3 races out of the 6 are counted. So you could have up to 3 unlucky races.

Question: i have joined one race in nations cup, my ratings are B and S. I finished the race #1 and clean race but recieved around 1000 points only, while comparing with friends they got almost 1900 points. This seems to be unfair somehow as i did not play since long time. Anyhow, so because my DR is B i get this low points?

The higher DR, the higher competition, thus the bigger points reception. Yes, it is a bit unfair to those, who aren't that fast to get higher on the DR ladder, yet, normal as slower guys IRL get lower points aswell.

Im looking for other TEAM Ferrari FIA drivers....The question is ; did you have a problem with traction in the GR3 in the first race.. To me it was like driving on ice...The GR4 was ok......:confused::confused:

I signed with Lamborghini due to the steering feedback and overall handling preferences when using the DS4 controller on both the gr3 and gr4 versions. Yes, I have to admit that the group 3 version can be very edgy on handling and risk, just refer to Tidgney for more details but I personally found it controllable even with the DS4 controller if the basic fundamentals of corner taking are being used. Otherwise, the group 4 version is almost perfect besides the occasional understeer from the AWD system, especially when I am pushing for a qualifying lap, which is easily manageable by myself.

Well, if your friends are in a lobby where people are one or two seconds faster per lap, would it be fair not to get more points for winning there ? If all lobbies would net the same amount of points, then I'd better tank my DR between each FIA races to get matched with slower people and get easy wins.

Want more points ? Do more sport races, get your DR up enough to reach top split. Kaz outright said he wanted to have people actually playing the game come at live events rather than opportunists just waiting for a free trip to start doing races. Now if you just got the game and you have top players pace, I understand. I can also understand tight schedules and I'm a bit annoyed by the calendar's density right now. But realistically, if you don't have enough time to get your DR up, you probably won't be able to take on the fastest guys (exception made of a few particular people, who were very active before for the most part).

What's up with the new S drivers rank??? I thought A+ was max. Did they change it???

So I had a pretty eventful Manufacturer's Cup race. Started my lobby with a bunch of S/S drivers, and allowed everyone to go ahead of me out of the pits. This gave me the perfect opportunity for good position and qualified P5, with the potential of pole if could've completed my ending lap. That would quickly change though as overly aggressive morons decided it was the final lap on Lap 1 and dove inside of me on turn 3, knocking me all the way back to like P11. Now begins an epic comeback where one by one I picked off those making mistakes. By lap 8 I dove for the pits and because I had map 2 on the whole time, along with not taking tires, I came out a place ahead, and started my consistent pace. Near the end a GTR on map 1 passed me and the guy who was on pole was coming, and on the final lap we all got a bit racey and I took an inside line near the end of the lap, and the pole guy ended up spinning due to touching the outside grass on the penultimate corner. At the end of the race I got P5 and beat out a bunch of the star players which was pretty cool. The funny thing was the pole guy blamed me for his mistake but wait until he sees the footage of what happened.

I almost did something similar. Qualified 3rd, then got pushed into the sand coming out of T1 (brands hatch) by the eventual winner. Ended up in 16th place. Started flying through the field, only to get hit a couple of times drivers turning into me after being passed yet somehow I end up getting the worst of the penalties for it. I made it up to 5th but then the 15 sec penalty started increasing 1 sec at a time because I wasn't serving it so I decided to serve it and get off the racing line. Guy hits me anyways even though I was off the racing line on a straight, and I, yes I, somehow get a 14 sec penalty for it. Then , again trying to serve a penalty, some idiot punts me in the grass at the last corner, and I get penalty time for it. I had to pit. Came out of the pit 14th. Started working my way through the field again, made it to 8th, guy hits me after I pass him and I get 1 sec. Try to serve it before turn 5, yet even hitting the brakes wouldn't make the last 0.3sec go away there. I could've got 5th if not for that last penalty but was lucky to hold onto 7th.

All drivers were A or S. For the most part, I wasn't even bothered by the people that hit me other than maybe 2 of them. The rest were light bumps, that somehow got us all ridiculous penalties. They were pretty much all good racers but all it takes it close racing in GT Sport to net tons of undeserved penalties. This is the problem with GT Sport. If you can avoid the carnage, you're golden but even if you race clean, and make legitimate passes (AKA not dive bombs, or other dirty moves) there's a great chance you'll still get penalized like crazy and have your race ruined, while people that do blocking, or try to push you into the grass while going 2 wide get away with it.

Iracing has the same problem though, but the difference is, they don't assign blame, so they don't get it wrong. Honestly I think that would be better and I think it would teach people to be more careful too. As would real damage.

Gran Turismo will not have real damage because it would make the cars look bad and the manufacturers don't want that.

One thing I learnt so far in GT sport.....as long as there are cars behind you, you will be used as a barrier around corners, and you will get the penalty for it. Cars in front of you and you will get cut off, blocked and pushed onto grass when trying to overtake. So only one way to race.....hand out what you receive. Hunt the culprit down and destroy his race....even if it means getting lapped to do so.
This game is more dodgems than racing.

Not enjoying it at all.
More fun racing against AI.
