The five cars that you DO NOT want in GT6.

You don't seem to get his point. Yes, technically, PD has to make the effort to include the NASCAR vehicles in GT6 even though they are already completed. Congratulations. You proved him wrong.

No, that effort is not nearly enough to justify your "I'd rather they spend their time doing something else" defense of why they should remove cars from the game just because you don't like them.

With GT5 it was different, and it most likely will be for GT6. Why?
(These apply for GT5, most will most likely apply to GT6.)
1: New engine. The cars must be recoded to perform correctly.
2: New/different tuning. The tuning options and parts were different for GT4 and GT6, and I think we can safely say GT6 will be the same.
3: Descriptions. Ever notice how all 1030+ cars have their own up-to-date descriptions? That takes time and people.

the 5 cars I want dumped... ok... how about dumping about 35 of the 50 GTR's we got in GT5 along with the 7 duplicate FR-S concepts we got, the red bull, and a few of those damn BMW's.

You want wanna know what I want to dump?

First of all, dump those blasted duplicates that are only used for car count. You know? The GTRs, all those Miatas/MX5s, GTOs, RX-7s and every other duplicates that are there.

Dump the Red Bull x2010 and X2011.

Dump the concepts, no need for them.

Also dump some duplicates that are in the premium side. Yeah I found in Mazda attempting to do it again with the accursed MX5. Suzuki is trying so remove the two duplicates and keep the new ones. Remove the mask and proto verisons of the GT-R.

I take it most of you don't want duplicates in GT5 because it "will allow PD to spend time making other cars." So what would be the point of getting rid of the Premium duplicates? They're already there, can't do any harm.

You people whining about the ten million Skylines will complain about anything. I mean, it's like Kaz is twisting your arms to buy them, or they're in the way of something. I mean, seriously...

Anyhow, the only cars I don't particularly want to see are... hmm... maybe the military transports. Then again, if Forza can have the Halo Wombat, or whatever it's called, maybe I don't care either way.

If I remember correctly, the old useless cars that were only there for historical reasons in GT4 (1886 cars, Model T) got removed, so I expect the wagens will as well.

I find it rather unlikely that PD would make GT6 be based on an engine that didn't allow direct porting of assets from GT5.

2: New/different tuning. The tuning options and parts were different for GT4 and GT6, and I think we can safely say GT6 will be the same.
Tuning options between GT4 and GT5 were nearly identical, and I'm doubtful that PD would allow you add parts to the NASCAR vehicles even if the tuning parts did change between GT5 and GT6. You can't do anything to them as they are now in GT5.

3: Descriptions. Ever notice how all 1030+ cars have their own up-to-date descriptions? That takes time and people.
And why couldn't those be copy-pasted? It isn't as if any of the information is going to change for a race car after the season it raced in is complete.

Premium ones I wouldn't get rid of, as you say they're already there and modelled, might as well leave them there. Bearing in mind I don't want to see any standard cars in GT5 I certainly wouldn't want any of the standard duplicates remodeled as premium.

It might.
They might (though there is no chance that they will, but let's just go along and say that something could happen to one of those cars that would require an information update). But until that actually happens, what difference does it make if it could in terms of why they shouldn't be ported?

Agreed. :sly:

4 NASCARs 1 for each manufacterer with a choice of livery instead of however many there are now.
Maybe 1 per manufacter per year though. I just dont wanna have to buy 35 of the same different NASCARs. Same with GT500s

I want the veyron Premium, but i do prefer the Ruf Yellowbird Premium. I just love the Ruf

Disagree with a few of you. Veyron should be here but more cars similar ie hauyra, appollo s, ssc ultimate aero tt, ccxr, agera r, zonda F clubsport and Mclaren P12! etc. Even Veyron SS but limit the tuning on Hyper cars to realistic
X1's/FGTs are great but should be seperate like f2007/f10 are. PD and Redbull Spent time on X1s so they'll stay for sure
My list is...
  • Schwimmwagen
  • Kubelwagon
  • Any really old, no power cars. Beetle, 500, 2cv, panda, midget, 360, s500 etc
  • Duplicates, showing year or country but are the same car!
  • Multiple Nascars which by regulation are the same just Manufacturer differs (make Liveries selectable instead)

Its not the Prem Dups that everyone whinges about cuz there aint many. its the 30% of the standards

I think it's close-run between the duplicates and the Red Bull X cars...

Though I don't like the Mazda roadster and they're annoying when they have 5 UCD slots at one time, they aren't what I'd get rid of...

The Red Bull X cars and the NASCAR car dulpicates however... 👎

I beg to differ.

So yeah, some people want to get rid of Premium duplicates as well, but as I've said earlier, this would be pretty pointless.

Any car that has a premium version ( See Midnight Purple R34 Skyline ) using a GT4 port model. That car had nothing spec wise different other then it's paint scheme therefor it did not merit it's own model but it's paint should have either been a reward or purchasable in the dealership. This applies to all cars.

I beg to differ.

The X cars are the only premium cars I would remove but that's not for dupe reasons, that's for realism reasons. I just don't think those cars have a place in GT6.

Only the best versions of each model. The 3-6 dupes that are variations are a waste of data space.

They're renamed. It barely takes up any "data space." It's the same car, with a different name. If you mean "of every year, with every engine package," then, that's okay, but, I certainly don't want to see some of the 80s Miata/MX-5s gone, unless it's "just the name." If anything more than that, (don't you dare TAKE a car AWAY from GT5, that's so integral to motorsports as an MX-5, Polyphony Digital, or I will not buy your game) I would be displeased, because the MX-5 is one of the most popular/most used race cars of all time, let alone a good drift car, apparently.

And, the Lancer Evos are good rally cars, and every model, from 1-10 is different.

But, no one really wants a purple Skyline! :yuck:

*Gasp*
But the Midnight Purple GT-R is integral to Kaz's health.
And I don't know if it does it in GT5, but in real life there are MASSIVE colour changes with that sort of paint. You have to see it in real life to really appreciate it.

Yeah, I know, it changes colours a lot, but, couldn't they just offer it as a colour option, on the Skylines already in the game?

The only cars I'd ever want anyone to get rid of: X- cars & M.N.P. Skyline (as a variation, include the option.)

I think that they would keep it in the game, but charge extra for the car, unless they brought in a new feature which gave you the base car and then you selected the trim lines and year and colour, all changing the price. (Not a bad idea actually.)

Tank Car & X2010,11

Keep the tank car... I make people's faces go like this O_O when i drift it... But it is a collection car if anything...

Really i have one car i don't want it GT6 and that is any Ford turuas... I had a 1998 model two years ago... And because of a mechanical failure i ended up almost dying in that car... But i ended up with my right foot laying 4" to the side of my leg because of their not caring about safety... I am actually in the process in suing then

Best idea ever!

My family had a '93 (I think) Ford Tempo. It caught fire. The fire department came. In the end, we actually sold it for fifty bucks, to some guys from the local demolition derby (this is in Canada, I don't think Germans actually do demolition derbies.)
