New shows coming out relates to the industry you know, because that's the stuff the studios are pumping out to make money.

What computer?:PThis is a laptop!!:grumpy:

Basically, in concise terms, Loli is saying that we should stick to talking about actual anime shows/movies, and not the business behind their production.

That reminds me of a Lonely Island song...

"This ain't my dad, it's a cell phone!"

You do know you can ignore it right? There are people into this stuff. You saw how certain people here got saddened about the news of Bandai, an R1 company going under in the next few years.

You saw how yaywalter and I got into pricing talks, and more.

I personally think that these debates (sub/dub,industry), while pointless since you're unlikely to change the other side's point of view, are fun and are more worthy points of discussion than the latest spoilers of currently airing shows (either you watched the episode and know what happened or you didn't and don't want to be spoiled) or people just posting cool/sexy pictures and other people drooling over said pictures. :P

Then you probably would have loved this one thread on the Fandom Post. Someone stating they were going to stick with the Japanese BD's of Strike Witches 2 turned into a flame war on the industry, how R1 is suffering, how R2 is not, and whether or not importing is on the level of piracy.

Fandom Post and Mania have many people really involved in all aspects of anime, from pricing, what titles will come over, how companies are doing, and more. Even going to the exact sales numbers of certain anime DVD's and BD's in Japan.

Just look how fast this thread grew.

This almost seems like you're just trying to persuade me to do something...

I'll check 'em out, if only so TGAT will no longer have to endure serious debates, which apparently the majority here aren't fans of. :P

No, no I'm not. We don't need that in here because that thread went on for like 10 pages. Sure there was hilarity in there, but there was lots of tl;dr posts.

Too bad Chris Beveridge's Fandom Post experienced hosting problems yesterday, and he's having to restructure the site, so the thread I was referring to, you can't see it for now. Luckily the latest backup is from Saturday morning.

-> ...
I did not exclude you... :odd:
^ I didn't receive any PM!.....well never mind, lets move on...

BT -> I'm thinking on watching Nichijou just because of its slice-of-life funness. But I still have to finish Ichigo Mashimaro, Lucky Star, & Minami-ke first. And I still haven't touched my TTGL DVD's yet!

:dunce:

I like them, but the debate about industry is absoutely pointless to me, I don't care who licenses what or what doesn't get licensed or expires nor anyting like that. I just care how easy it is to get it subbed in non-Spain spanish in the internet and that's all what the "industry" comes down to for me.

Good nite, people.

I hate how slow Mania can be at times. It's worse than the speed's FUNimation's site experiences from time to time.

I need to be able to lurk and post faster!!:grumpy:

On a side-note, it'll be kinda painful not being able to post on the Fandom Post forums for a few days. I was really enjoying posting there, and I actually learned more things from being there.:(

How many pairs of pants has this community ruined for you?

It's now Tuesday, and I know what that means, Sekirei: Pure Engagement comes out!!:DLet's hope I don't come home from school to find out it is sold out completely everywhere. Sekirei season 1 sold out everywhere in it's first week, and FUNimation scrambled to print more copies to meet the overwhelming demand.
