Not sure what makes a team "official", but Team Misato has its own social group on here with 5 members, so I guess it's pretty official.

And sure, I see no reason why we shouldn't be allies.

I like yaywalter. The only other name I can think of is yaypedo and I'm not sure that would fly.

I want to see that show also. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Madoka's good, but I definitely don't consider it mandatory viewing.

Here's pretty much all that I consider mandatory viewing:
NGE + EoE, Serial Experiments Lain, Bebop, one of Miyazaki's films, Ghost In The Shell movie, Monster, Grave of the Fireflies.

Puella Magi is a must see and is a common topic in this thread.

Negative. It's a common topic because it's popular. Popular =/= mandatory viewing, otherwise we'd have to put Bleach and Naruto on there as well.

Madoka's essentially a Bokurano ripoff that adds a cutesy style to cheaply increase the "shock" factor and also to cash in on cute merchandise.

haven't seen GoF yet. Monster's pretty heavy, not for everybody, but seriously awesome if you appreciate a great story. But yeah, though we may not agree on every single anime, you me and Cano seem to have pretty close tastes!

'cause it's short and simple, and recent. given time, Madoka will fade from memory. compare that with Bebop, Lain, Monster, GitS and other that years after are still very much watched and discussed. Sorry babe, Madoka's not gonna last.
