Just got this today, I will never look at my VHS copy the same way.

It's going so slow, I'm only watching it now out of obligation for the sake of finishing the series. If there was a clock in that show, there is like a total elapsed time of 15 minutes for the past 4 episodes. Anyway, going to sleep.

P.S. Nisemonogatari! oh my god!

Like Dragon Ball Z, only less exciting... Goddamn. I appreciate that they squeeze all they can into the 24 minutes, but I'd prefer better pacing or just a focus on the main characters.

Was Aniplex involved in the distribution, or played a big part of the production? If so, they would bring it over (Aniplex USA deals with only titles Aniplex had a hand in distribution, or production.) if they think it would do well (Aniplex USA plays it safe by bringing over titles they know will sell, I mean look at what they have, all popular stuff here that isn't really obscure among anime fans.).

Also, they were in negotiations for Bakemonogatari.
During its panel, Aniplex acknowledged that negotiations are ongoing for licensing both Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Bakemonogatari. Aniplex added, "Stay tuned."

It should be noted if they bring over a Blu-ray box import for Nisemonogatari (Kinda unlikely seeing as how the Bakemonogatari Blu-ray box had no English subs, a sign it would be brought over as an import, but you never know.) whenever that comes out, you should pre-order as soon as possible. There's a possibility it'll sell out quickly, or before it's release like Garden of Sinners ($400, 8 movies on Blu-ray.) did.

Can't say I blame ya, Shana III is so disappointing, and it's just become a decent show (6/10 from me currently.). I wonder if when it comes out, it'll even appear on the top-selling BD list. I heard season 1 and season 2 had each volume sell 10,000 copies each, season 3 is on it's way to like 2,000 copies each.

Personally, I am not surprised in the least that otaku are not purchasing this. Season 1 and 2 sold around 10k copies per vol and season 3 barely pulled off 3k. That's a massive drop in sales. I bet a lot of otaku don't like the stupid 180 turn that this season did.

It isn't, it's just kinda baffling at what they decided to price the Blu-ray here. If they priced it higher, the shipping costs would lead to it costing about the same as the Japanese Blu-ray, preventing reverse-importation.

Just saw the disc art for The World God Only Knows Blu-ray, not really digging this, or the cover art. Don't know when I'll get around to getting this.

Best disc art I've ever seen is that Garden of Sinners Blu-ray box disc art. That release in general was damn beautiful.

Shame I can't can't get this really seeing as how it came out nearly a year ago, and sold out before it's release. It's going for $700+ on Amazon, not worth paying that much for something out of print. There's always at least the SD rentals on the PlayStation Store.

On a side-note, I'm hoping Fate/Zero is nearly, just as, or more beautiful than the Garden of Sinners Blu-ray box.

Agreed, that Garden of Sinners release is sexy. :drool:
 
My major problem with Guin Saga at the moment is the ending is about 4-5 minutes long with the song/credits, preview and then the other credits.
 
I told you, the main problem is the ending, because there isn't one. Kind of like Firefly, started great but never finished. Though Firefly is still great, so not the best comparison, since Guin Saga w/o a proper ending is only 7-8/10.

Well Firefly DID finish... except in movie form. Unless you're talking about the fact that they didn't even finish airing the first season. Which is ass.

But I'm all caught up with Breaking Bad now and this is the last route I'm doing for a while in Katawa Shoujo. So maybe I'll be watching more soon :P

I seriously wonder what day VIZ Media is going to be simulcasting this. Got more interested in this show after the announcement came in that VIZ Media got this. Them getting this show absolutely shocked me.

Pretty good episode of Shana, but I feel it's more focusing on the build up(end of the episode) rather than what happens next.

I hope something worth caring for will happen next episode. There seems to be a lot of luuulll periods in this show.

Seen the first episode... not amusing. They showed no special significance of the mechs (no name)... "Just robots", unless if they are going to provide more info in the next ep. The only design I liked was the cockpit. I can provide more reasoning why this is crap (IMO) but I must finish this epic Gundam manga :dopey:.
