Also more of a reason to watch Moretsu Pirates, Zac Bertschy from ANN gave episode 1 a 5/5. Why is this so significant you ask? Zac is hard to please. You could compare him to Simon Cowell almost. When I look in past preview guides, it's mainly just scores that are a 3/5 or lower.

If he gives something a score like that, it's definitely worth watching.

Now I have a good idea to know what to expect when I try Moretsu Pirates next Saturday (Since I'm a free user on CR, I get the episode 1 week after Anime Members.). That show people were expecting to be bad since it sounded and looked bad in the chart, but who was behind making it intrigued people.

I enjoyed seeing Kodama's reality break down... Honestly, if he's going to throw away lives like that in the name of destiny, he shouldn't feel bad when his own daddy dies.

The shock of Dung Beetle's final statement "It uses people's life force to move" was a bit weak... I already figured that out last episode.

Shinji's somewhat annoying, but he's mostly just a bitch. He's supposed to be a bitch, and he's got some serious personal issues which make his bitchness understandable... so as a character, I don't really find Shinji all that annoying. There are many characters that aren't as big of bitches as Shinji but are more annoying. 👍

He's supposed to be a bitch, and he's got some serious personal issues which make his bitchness understandable... so as a character, I don't really find Shinji all that annoying. And that is why - comparing yourself to Shinji when you've not seen NGE. Which is really a large problem for someone whose life seems to revolve around anime.
