You manipulative bitch!

You know what really bugs me about Bokurano?
Contains 17 spoilz:
How the kids don't have ANY regard for their lives. They're usually worrying about others before they go and that bugs me. Sure, it's understandable in some cases, but it seems like they have no desire to actually DO STUFF. I'm sure most of 'em haven't had their first kiss(Minus the more lustful characters that died'd in the beginning).

Anko and Kanji obviously had feelings for each other, so why was that left unrequited? Geez!

Kinda true, but a good number of the characters did have something they wanted to do, even if sometimes what they wanted to do was to do something for someone else.

But there were some personal wants from some of them also...
Kako tries to get some, Chizu tries to get revenge, Daichi wanted to spend time with his family, Maki wanted to see her brother born...

So basically you're just disappointed that they're not all freaking out about not losing their virginity and having one massive farewell orgy before they die.

True enough,
I appreciate the characters that tried to do something before their passing(sans Kako and Chizu).

You got me, but hey, they ARE at that age

Awesome, you've now got something in spoiler tags that doesn't need 'em and something that does need 'em without 'em.

Nice pics there, Vanishing Boy. I watched the first episode of Kampfer a while back... only for the hardcore ecchi fans. Which you definitely are, so have fun!

All the Nisemonogatari talk got me curious, so I watched it. I can see it is a show that grows on you as you get to know the characters and their personalities, so having not watched Bakemonogatari yet I'm not able to appreciate it properly. It doesn't seem to have any story going on, so character development is all it has, aside for some instant gratification from a witty line or interesting scene. Very unusual but not exactly appealing. But starting it midway doesn't help, so I guess I'll get Bakemonogatari to give it a try.

While it does, it flops at the end... perfect show for you, Drav.

I gave it at look. Seems interesting, but the boy turn into a girl thing is off-putting.

The gender-bending and super powers is what makes the show worth while.... other than that, it's just another cheap harem... with a WTF ep 11.

So Sean, I see you still haven't wrote a review.... and personality plays into the image of a character... and I think we can all agree Kanbaru's sarcasm > Sengoku's shyness.

It looks like that pink-haired girl is holding a huge pillow.

It's not very good. Best thing about the show are the interesting camera angles. Some of them are pretty cool.

I will work on a review soon. Got a lot going on at the moment. I still have to storyboard and shoot one project, and shoot another project.

Anyways, Kanbaru is funny, but I'd rather Sengoku (out of those two).

DRAV is speaking of Kampfer... a dinky ecchi/harem show.

What year level of study are you in anyway?

Monogatari isn't a show of a brilliant story. Instead it's about the dialogue, and animation.

Anyone like my avatar btw? ;)

Kampfer, the one VB is talking about. Ecchi is apparently good with some comedy too but there's a strong possibility it's just another forgettable harem really.

About Bakemonogatari, I'm intrigued about it since it's so unusual, I suppose it's worth the closer look. But if the only remarkable thing are the camera angles, I may pass it up

Gotcha.

What year level of study are you in anyway?

Freshman, second semester.

It's alright.

Don't get me wrong, there are some good moments in the show, but like Andy said, it's mainly about the dialogue. The animation is good and the unique camera angles are awesome, but this show did not need to be 15 episodes.

Tis guy's ignoring my word on the show. :odd:

👍

Bakemo needed to be 12 episodes at least...think from a marketing standpoint. All the women appeal to the male audience, including Hachikuji sadly enough :P. Therefore, to maximize profit without eventually boring watchers, they threw in more dialogue and screen time for everyone, but stopped at 15. I have a feeling the cast from Bakemo's going to get little screen time, if they are going to be doing something with Koyomi's sisters in 11 episodes. I have a feeling Black cat won't get any screen time at all.

I think Bakemo's trump card is Koyomi's casual conversation with others actually; he talks really fast, gets all technical when side-tracking or making a side-note, he makes jokes, jabs at others, and displays all sorts of attitudes or behaviour from being all chilled out, to overly-excited to nervously breaking down.

I'm defending it also because it's actually good. It is one of the highlights of anime from the 1990's.

Sez TC.

The show is an absolutely pointless shonen with plotline and animation dating back to 1985 or so. Stupid long, goes nowhere, cliche characters. It's basically Kenshin but with fistfights instead of swords and with none of the stupid comedy that predates Kenshin. Which doesn't make it any good.
