Didn't realize the new anime season had already started. Now I am behind even more. UGH.

We are tying to get people back on ARM. I don't know why in the world would that bother you or why are you not there yet.

Anyway, if someone is still struggling to edit their hosts file, I made a bat file that will edit it for you. Just right click and run as administrator. Restart your browser afterwards.

I wonder what's the workaround for Macs, Misaki123 is a Macfag

Oh true. That explains why he's butthurt

It just started so you're not really that late. But get to watching some shows already so you can recommend the good ones to me :P

nah scratch what I said earlier, managed to let Misaki through. woot

Yeah, some problem with the DNS servers. Can anybody find Lain?

In the meantime you can access it by editing the hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Just add "192.254.160.52 ar-machine.net" (no quotes) to the end of it in a new line. You might need to restart your browser.

I hope you realize I can't do this :(

Have you guys watched Monogatari yet? It's Nekomonogatari as indicated in the show.

Watched it last night. Tsubasa Tiger is the first arc, woo.

I also started WataMote which AT LEAST one of you need to watch with me.

Ah Watamote, checked that one out last night. Actually decent, and it had a few references. I spotted Gantz (Based off the CR subs being "G***tz"), Death Note (Well through them changing pen strokes to mouseclicks), and something else I couldn't tell through the subs.

Summer 2013 so far looks like it might be better than last season which was awful, but it's too early to really tell.

Something disappointing about this season is The World God Only Knows III. They're adapting an arc way ahead of season 2 in order to really promote the manga, so there's about 70 chapters they skip, and even worse I heard the arc they're adapting for this one is about 70 chapters. So they're going to have to cram all of that into one single cour. Ugh...

Season 1, season 2, along with the OVA's apparently covered the first 44.

One show from this season I'd try keeping an eye on is this.

You meant Onboy? I thought you were talking about Andy

Are you a macfag too? Madboi apparently knows how to fix it for macs, but I can look into it for you too, I guess. But you'll owe me and you know what that means :3

I'm watching it too. First episode was hilarious. Liked it so much I'm actually reading the manga alongside.

I need to love you unconditionally for a while and come around frequently?

The design for the original Giant God Warrior was by Hayao Miyazaki, of course. But the new one is by none other than the legendary Takayuki Takeya!

Planning: Hideaki Anno
Original Giant God Warrior design: Hayao Miyazaki
Live-action Giant God Warrior design: Takayuki Takeya
Director: Shinji Higuchi

You always need to do those...

Check this. I can't look at the actual file so you might need to adapt "192.254.160.52 ar-machine.net" to the format it needs. There should be an example there. Just make sure your entry doesn't start with #

That looks right. Did you actually save the file (control-o)? Did you flush the DNS cache (dscacheutil -flushcache)? Did you restart your browser afterwards? Are you typing in just ar-machine.net instead of www.ar-machine.net?

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
And yes.

No idea why it's not working. Should I try restarting my computer?

Well ****... yeah try restarting and hope that works because I'm at a loss on what else to do.

Oh, I forgot we can't curse around here

I have a serious question I don't watch anime so excuse my ignorance on it. Do people who are REALLY into anime consider Dragon Ball Z and Initial D to be anime?

I know by definition they both are but like iRacing isn't a game to us...it's a simulator. Same with GT5. I don't call it a game.

DBZ and ID are anime. They are Japanese-styled cartoon TV shows, so yes, they are anime.

Fair enough I didn't know if there was some sort of certain criteria it had to fall under, are they considered good anime?

The reason I'm asking is because I've had other sites tell me that DBZ and Initial D aren't "real anime". It's the only 2 Japanese style shows I've ever sort of liked...and Inuyasha a little bit.

Considered good? They're popular, but quality-wise, not really. This is my opinion though. I'd watch other things if you want to get into anime and a few of us have some decent recommendations should you request it.

Thing one should note about though is what "good" is to a sheer number of people who think it's good, versus the level of judgement by an individual.

Right well I use this same logic with boy bands, like Nsync, I mean they were widely popular but I wouldn't consider them good musicians in my opinion.

I wasn't really looking to get into anime don't really have anything against it just not my thing. I'm into Disney style of animation (real Disney Steamboat Willie ect) I was just wondering if those were considered good anime by anime lovers.

I own DBZ Kai on Bluray up to the Cell Saga and I used to have all of the Initial Ds on DVD. But I sold them off to help get a car.:dunce:

DBZ Kai is worse than the normal DBZ. They cut out a lit of filler and somehow made it make less sense.

Yeah but my gf at the time bought it for me for Christmas and it's all she could find at Best Buy (Where we had a credit card) so I am pretty pleased that she spent her hard earned money on something I loved as a kid, she tried her best anyway. I recognized right away it was a bit different.
