I don't remember FUNi stating that, especially when you consider reverse-importation fears (Gits:Arise finishes up sometime next year). 2015 is more likely.
Possibly. Knowing Funimation, though, they will want to commemorate the 25th anniversary of GITS with something. I would suspect they'll release parts 1&2 together on a special blu ray set and then release part 3 in 2015. Kinda like they did with Black Lagoon.

Eh still too early, you have to remember the Japanese release dates pretty much dictate when FUNimation can release a domestic version because of reverse-importation fears.

FUNi will probably do a complete set in 2015.

My favourite scene is when Shinji stands on a big blue ball of coral reef and then gets congratulated by the rest of the cast.

There is no GNR in the series. He's talking about the last episode where everyone is all happy and saying "congraturations!"

It goes into "Angelic Days/ School Days" Where everybody is in their appropriated place.

  • Asuka and Shinji are childhood friends, but both are reluctant to risk their friendship and form a deeper relationship. Nonetheless, Asuka becomes jealous when Rei is attracted to Shinji.
  • Kensuke has an unrequited crush on Asuka, but is afraid to act because of Shinji's possible feelings. Rei is in a parallel position, with the roles reversed.
  • Toji and Hikari date, even though the invasions threaten both of their lives.
  • Kaworu is also a childhood friend of Shinji. However, their friendship originated from childhood incidents when Asuka abandoned Shinji, and he and Asuka never got along. By the time of the manga, Kaworu has failed to form intimate relationships with anyone besides Shinji, and resents Shinji's closer relationship with Asuka, and also tries to prevent Rei from getting closer to Shinji.
  • Gendo Ikari's work schedule and cold personality alienate Shinji, who in turn resents his father's attitude towards his mother, Yui.
  • Rei and Ritsuko, who are stationed together, both realize their romantic feelings will remain unrequited - Rei's feelings for Shinji, and Ritsuko's feelings for Gendo.
  • Misato and Kaji, who dated in college and remain good friends, review their relationship. Although they seemed to break up soon after college, they realize that they never "officially" broke up and still have feelings for each other. They agree to keep their relationship going, but not to rush anything.
  • Hikari and Toji endure a long distance relationship, made complicated by the constant dangers in Toji's job.
  • Shinji and Asuka are forced to deal with strains in their relationship on their own, especially since Kaworu is (apparently) no longer around to defuse their arguments.
  • Kaworu's true identity, goals, purpose, feelings, and eventual fate are hinted at during both story arcs, but are never explicitly identified
  • Kensuke Aida is another one of Shinji's classmates who is accepted into Nerv's piloting program. He has a hobby in camcording. In this incarnation, he has a crush on Asuka and is usually trying to gain some acknowledgement from her. He later openly states his feelings and then asks if he is "good enough to take Shinji's place," causing Asuka to run from him. After an exchange with Asuka while on standby, he realizes that she won't reciprocate his feelings, and later accepts his role as just a friend to her.

Nothing fresh comes about here for the most part.

Galilei Donna 9: "what!" is all I can say. What a sudden change of pace.

Golden Time 10: Nothing happened. Waste of time.

Kill la Kill 10: Now that's what I'm talking about. Glad they didn't stretch the battle with insignificant glasses boy. Also glad there's more to band girl, they brought out a twist I did not expect. Several times even.

Just finishing up Kite and Kite Liberator tonight. Kite from the 80's is very jazzy and its colorful.
^ Haven't watched Liberator yet, but Kite is awesome (especially the Director's Cut)!

BT -> Well, as I'm still waiting for the next episode of Kill la Kill & Kuroko...I just started watching Genshiken2, Date A Live and Waiting in the Summer...

They tone it down a bit and added monsters.

Illustration Contest results: Madoka Rebellion.

Grand prize winner deserves it. The Jenny the Robot (My Life as a Teenage Robot) stylization is most cool. The Momoe has a comfortable balance of line weight and soft tones. Kyubey is neat, the rest kind of bomb...even the character-specific winners.

If I took part, I would've did a close up of the face of a grieving Homura with a single trail of blood working its way down between the nose and cheek, teeth bared, and eyes anguished.

Soul Eater NOT is getting an adaption!

Already revealed that ages ago here thanks to some company's inability to keep a secret.

This sure looks much different than expected.
