Or maybe you should have Patchouli year round ;)
I'd rather quit GTP altogether than do that.

Give her a few years and she'll probably resemble Yukari in looks. ;)
Theory is they're possibly the same person, and there are countless links to prove this true, but they haven't actually been seen in canon. I actually refused to believe this at first (I still wouldn't but disbelieving it would be ridiculous), so I never really liked Maribel. Lots of art, mostly from one single brilliant artist, has changed that.

I world believe that theory too. Another theory is that those two are the only humans who sort of realize Gensokyo exists.

Here's something interesting for you to think about.

Discourse on how Satoshi Kon edits his work.

A discourse on lateral tracking transitions.

Although I've never studied film, I have noticed the technique I know now as the lateral tracking in the past, and after watching this, I feel I have a better understanding of what makes one cut more distinguishable from another.

Watched Kingdom of Dreams and Madness. The more I try to understand Miyazaki, the more I get a headache lol. It's a very good headache though. Just a fascinating man and studio.

Nice discourse. I actually wondered what that technique was. Consider this guy's channel subscribed

Love that guy's channel. Saw his video on Akira Kurosawa. Then I went on to purchase Seven Samurai. Definitely check out his other vids.

-> I think I may take your guys advice in regards to Blood-C for not watching it, but the gorefest make me curious!

-> Currently, I've been doing a marathon of this innocent anime:

^ I would think this might be the ultimate battle of Plot vs. Justice anime.

-> And I can't stop on cracking the hell up!!! Happily recommended for mindless fun!

:D

Kanokon was so yuck after I learned of something like Highshool DxD. I'm on the second season. Episode 7 was the best solely because of Akeno.

The Akira Kurosawa video was the first one I saw. For once I'm actually glad Youtube recommended something.

Highschool DxD is like the only X-Rated film on Earth with a story.
Or at least some semblance of one. Surprisingly, it pulls off a proper plot better than Akuma no Riddle and some other more serious works.

^ DxD of course has a good story.

-> But Kanokon laughed me more, so it pretty much an even trade! ;)

^ Akeno you say! Ahhh!

^ Infact she is one of my favorite character in DxD! The other is Asia!

^ It's not X-Rated by a long shot mind you. I've watched harder Ecchi (not yet Hentai) animes than this (with the lack of a proper storylines of course).

-> Is there any news in regards to the 2nd season of Sankarea? I just love that anime!

^ Or is there a similar series like this one?

-> Many thanks! 👍

Ara ara, ufufufufu~ ;) (that line alone gave people many a nosebleed.)

I gave Akeno the nickname of "The Pornstar of Kuoh Academy". She's got everything to jump into the XXX movie business, if you ask me! I guess that's why she's my second favorite in Issei's harem (behind, of course, Rias). I've also noticed that Akeno looks a lot like, and shares her VA (Shizuka Ito) with A Certain Magical Index's Kaori; the two are definitely opposites in terms of personality though (Kaori's more like Koneko in that regard).
Heck, a guy in another forum has said that "her voice alone can melt tungsten". I really want to see who gets chosen to voice Akeno in a DxD Italian dub. I really like Asia as well. Like, come on, she's so cute! ^^

But I have to say, I'd like to see a DxD videogame here in the West, better yet if it's a Dynasty Warriors-like beat 'em up with VN and dating sim elements. I bet it would also be a PS4 exclusive - but I wouldn't mind it too much: that'd be another game I'd buy along with the PS4 - the others are Driveclub and Bloodborne. However, two official DxD videogames have been released, one for the 3DS and one for the PS Vita. Bad thing is, they're only available in Japan.

Issei's da king, bro. But he's not your normal king. :v

And one last thing... The first episode of DxD's third season hits the air tomorrow!!! :D

Nope. Also don't know what it did for the manga, but it averaged like around 1,400/1,500 on disc, definitely not good. Also it's already been nearly three years since season 1 started, and the manga is over. There's no reason for them to even bother continuing it from a business perspective.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about Vettel's first victory for Ferrari in Formula 1, and as a result, I've decided to share this forgotten anime gem of the Nineties right here.

Future GPX Cyber Formula... A smash hit in Japan and also here in Italy, but bombed elsewhere. I'd definitely recommend this anime to any F1 fan out there, as it's pretty much about futuristic F1. Too bad we're nowhere close to this level of technology.

P.S.: Want to replicate this show on Gran Turismo 6? Easy! Take any Red Bull X-series vehicle (except the X2014 Junior) and take it on a particularly long track - e.g. Suzuka, Silverstone, Spa, or Nürburgring.

Now this I remember, it's part of my backlog. A former Animage award winner (same goes for its main character, Hayato Kazami), I still call Future GPX Cyber Formula the best racing anime Japan has ever made. Is it a tad bit unrealistic, racing-wise? Yes, it is. Top speeds of 500 km/h, talking A.I.s, the whole lot. But the show packs a great story, solid characters, and it still uses those two better than any other racing show. The weirdest part? Its director would wind up being the director of one of the most hated Gundam series in history, Gundam SEED (and his wife would wind up being the director of the even worse sequel SEED Destiny)...

Still, I'd also recommend this, both the 50-plus episode series and the multiple OVAs that preceded it. The last OVA, SIN, has ironically many aspects that SEED would ape later...

I agree with all of your statements; I have to be honest, the rivalry between Hayato and Kaga reminds me a lot of the rivalry between Niki Lauda and James Hunt. Just compare Cyber Formula SIN with Rush and you'll see what I'm talking about; heck, I've even made Cyber Formula-inspired liveries for the Ferrari 312T and the McLaren M23 in Forza 5!

Personally, I also think that their rivalry has a lot in common with the rivalry of Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala in Gundam SEED. Why?

  • Best friends, bitter enemies; that applies to both rivalries,
  • The presence of women in both sides (Asuka for Hayato and Aoi for Kaga; Lacus for Kira and Cagali for Athrun),
  • The super epic special power that only the two pairs have (A thing in Cyber Formula called Zero, and of course the SEED for, well, Gundam SEED).
I still think that SIN laid quite a lot of bases for what its director would use for Gundam SEED. If anything, they share of lot of character points...

Also, about those liveries, think you could share some pictures of that? It sounds pretty cool, if you ask me.

Uhh... I have a looooooooooong way from becoming a good Forza painter. Like some Forza gamers say: Racers can't paint, painters can't race. And I'm a racer.

Haha, fair enough. Nevertheless, it's a cool idea. For those interested, there are PC racing games (not quite official products, but the closest thing possible), and they are fun to play. Otherwise, it's mostly PS2 and PSP games, but those are official.
