Watched Initial D Legend 2 last night. Pretty cool. Art, sounds were sublime, and the general pacing and story telling was better than Legend 1's, and perhaps better than the original. Conversations between the character felt needed instead of in the original feeling like simple fillers to get to the next battle within five episodes. I can't wait for .gifs to come out for it.

Looking forward to Legend 3!

Not sure if many in here will care about this, but I did bring a little something with me today after a trip to a local shopping mall;

Yup, it's City Hunter's one and only film release; 357 Magnum a.k.a. A Magnum of Love's Destination. Of course, it's a subbed version of it, therefore the title was translated to Portuguese as well (rather poorly, I might add, since the word used, "Magnânimo", has no relation to the English word used, which of course stands for the Magnum pistol). But it still has the original Japanese audio, so not much of value has been lost. In fact, the only other audio track isn't even Portuguese, it's Spanish, which is a good proof that most of Portugal's anime exports were based off Spanish versions of them. Doraemon, Kochikame, we have had our fair share of Spanish-dubbed animes in our history.

As for the movie itself, it's interesting watching the film after having seen Bay City Wars, one of City Hunter's OVAs; Bay City Wars is clearly geared towards a "All action, almost none of the plot" style, with plenty of explosions and gunfire but only a few sprinkles of City Hunter's character. On the other hand, 357 Magnum is definitely a movie which could be seen as a condensed version of the original anime series; the "damsel in distress" storyline, the action scenes and of course those comedy interactions that only a show like City Hunter can do and only an actor of the calibre of Akira Kamiya can portray.

The box? It's packed with rather nice extras; two postcard-sized pictures from the movie itself, a larger-sized version of the cover's picture and a small booklet containing the movie's synopsis as well as City Hunter's story... in Spain, of course, because Portugal never had the honor of having City Hunter broadcasted on its televisions. Which is a shame, I might add;

Nai desu.

You can keep doing what you're doing over there and I'll keep doing what I do here. We'll continue living our happy lives and no waifus will be hurt in the process.

Forgot I bought these babies a while ago:
Cracked open two of 'em (saved one for my miscellaneous booster pack collection), and pulled these rares:
Be jelly, @Cano.

ACK, go to hell. We've seen them but for one thing or another haven't ordered a pack or six yet. I still have the ones from back in the day when SEGA launched a card RPG, complete with metal-foil cards and stuff. Ah, the times.

Also, cool that both rare cards have Fuu (: the drawing in the second one is quite more recent than the rest, I believe it was made for the re-release of the series in bloo ray when it turned 20.

Would it be too difficult if you bought some packages and sent them over here or something?

Haven't been watching shows lately, exam grind went into anime time however I'm getting back to Kiniro Mosaic soon. My brain needs to be turned off.

I'm really interested in Yozakura Quartet, so I think I'll watch that soon.

I'll check the hobby shops I frequent in Yokohama and Akihabara, but can't make any guarantees. I bought those things literally ages ago. And by that, of course I mean early this year. :P
