Watched Oshiete! Galko-chan, which was... alright. Surprisingly endearing at times and relatively tame with the fanservice, despite the main character's, uh, titanic bust. Nothing really to write home about though.

Halfway through Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress... so far so good. Very strong first episode, lost a bit of steam over the next few episodes but starting to pick up again.

Really great first episode. Am interested ot hear your thoughts on it overall once you're done and have let it soak for a week.

Decided yesterday was a day to take in some more of my favourite series. Yes, I'm still not fully up to speed with Monogatari despite how much I love it but, frankly, if a man as busy as me can get this far into it, that probably says enough by itself.

My sesh was a notice that a few characters are a bit different from what I remember. It was also a timely reminder of Hanekawa Tsubasa's constant magnificence. She's possibly still my favourite 'proper' anime girl (considering the only characters definitely ahead of her are either from idol series, which I wouldn't call 'anime' first and foremost, or from Touhou, which famously isn't an anime). Will be useful to remember when I carry on with it again in 4/6/12 months time.

So I completed the first season of Sunshine and I have to say that everyone is likeable and everyone in Aqours has a good singing voice (*ahem* Nozomi, Nico, Hanayo, Kotori). The µ's references that are liberally peppered in the episodes are a nice touch. Looking forward to starting the 2nd season soon.

Mijuku Dreamer is still my favourite song.

I didn't carry on with it in 4/6/12 months time. Because I carried on with it yesterday.

Since I'm going in release order I've now reached the Kizumonogatari movies. Those are apparently nearly as good as it gets all series so you bet I'm looking forward to the moment I decide to watch them.

Meanwhile, in other Love Live news...

Good to see those 3D plans are coming along nicely.

That Kimi no Sei show is one very enjoyable drama.

Clannad's Tomoya has nothing on this Bunny Girl Senpai's Sakuta. The relationships between characters in this show are alike that between Monogatari's Araragi and his women. Just less dramatic, and more grounded.

Way out of date watcher her but I finished up citrus recently and really enjoyed it. I'm reading the manga right now and I'm getting the same vibe from it so I can say that it's a really great adaptation.

Kimi no Sei Wednesday is still a great show.

Dropped Index III after first episode, dropped Zombieland Saga after a few episodes (I hear it's a fairly good show).

Picked up Happy Sugar Life, @dice1998. Man this show is fueled off some hugely flawed philosophies, but in all fairness, that's what makes the characters interesting. I like that Satou will flip her switch, but it flips way too easily. It does drive home the point that she's had a very rough past, but this show could spend less time going back to her monologues and more time letting things play out when the other peeps flip their switches on her.

Quite the Juicy drama, no? Show held back many times on the highly anticipated moments thinking back. I remember being on the edge of my chair twice, maybe thrice. Protag just couldn't make up her mind and that drives the audience nuts (maybe in a good way; keeps you watching).

Exactly what I was thinking

To be fair Zombieland Saga is not an anime you would expect from the beginning. Most people got clickbaited and myself included. However, in my opinion the show can compensate the whole story and myself quite enjoyed it because the show self awareness and thus poking fun on idol tropes in general while slipped them with slapstick comedy and background story for each characters. Not sure how many of Western viewers watch this but here in Asia region it is doing pretty well.

FYI the main purpose of this anime is to promote Saga Prefecture located in Kyushu. The mansion shown in the anime used for members secret base is real and it is actually a historical monument/building in that area. Same thing on what LL franchise did with depicting Akihabara and Numazu in their anime to be honest.

As for Bunny Senpai, I've heard it is a mix of Oregairu and Monogatari though wasn't sure about that since not watching it this season. I might have just wait for the eternity if could until season 3 of Oregairu came out I guess...

Wow.

See now that you mention this, I recall this being an established goal, but all I could remember was how obnoxious the dude became. It was hilarious at first, but the effect wore off pretty quick for me.

Man that's so like 2017. Nowadays, it's about Zombieland Saga.

I'm catching up just recently on Zombieland Saga and i love how it's set up; coming from the aidoru scene such as LL or Im@s, or even Bang Dream (even if it's not idol, but close enough) it's refreshing and fun.

It's quite clear, to be honest from the start, but I didn't mind it :D

Here is the article in case you need some proof of the mansion : https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/in...use-draws-1000-visitors-in-single-day/.140077

So, your problem is their manager/producer right? Often he get wacky and cringy I admit. But when he turned up serious he actually can give a good advice and motivation to all members. He is a good guy imo. Also it looks like himself still keeping some secret all of the members didn't know yet, maybe that will revealed at or near the finale.

Exactly. As I said the show is literally poking fun of it's own genre and give enough substance to the plot such as putting characters background compared to titles with similiar theme which seems had same tropes one to another.

You have fine tastes, sir.

Did you mean the cars or the waifus? Anyway, nevermind. :D Thanks...

Both, of course! :D I can always appreciate good fanarts and these ones hit the spot.

Glad you like it 👍

Now, I have a very important announcement :

The only question is, will this surpassed Kimi no Na Wa? We will wait and see...

today I binged Now and Then, Here and There, which was... intense. Though I gotta admit, the name "Hellywood" was a bit tough to take seriously, lol... also Abelia was hot, which was also a bit distracting. But overall, damn... really good.

Yes, old, but screw it.

Dude I had absolutely forgotten about this thing. But yeah, intense is a good way of putting it. If the main guy hadn't been such a clicheed piece of trash the show could have been truly damn great.

So I just got done watching the anime movie adaptation of Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai (I Want To Eat Your Pancreas and yes that's the English translation of it) and here my thoughts:

To be honest the title got me. One of my anime friends recommended me this so I figured I give it a shot and I'm glad there's a manga version available and the feels hit me hard. So I finished reading the manga and when I heard that there's going to be a anime movie adaptation, I was hyped. And because I couldn't wait much longer, I took the chance on watching the live movie version and little did I know it hit me even harder with the feels. The live movie adaptation did a good job and also adding few extra parts to the movie that neither the novel/manga has.

But finally after months of waiting, the anime movie was finally available in those "sites" and immediately I watched it. The visuals are just great like coming from a Makoto Shinkai film. The voice acting was also nice (they chose the right seiyuu for Sakura I'll give them that) and the soundtrack? Also good.

But what about the story? I'll just say this, it's like Your Lie In April but in my opinion it's slightly better. You have the MC whom he's silent and a bookworm and you have Sakura who is a energetic and cheerful character that the MC will meet and will change his life.

Overall the anime adaptation did a great job. I really recommend this.

I just had to share this because the movie was just beautiful.

If you guys want something else to debate over a family member recently asked me "if the characters from the Fate universe could have a car to represent them, what would they be?"

Honestly I'm not so sure. They suggested that Tamamo be a Miata because she's the devoted and loyal type so a fun loving but dependable car like a Miata would suit her best. Although that got me wondering what car would fit someone like Gilgamesh. It would have to be powerful but unique, almost an unattainable sort of car like a unicorn. I was thinking maybe the Ferrari 250 GTO or the like because Enzo could be seen as a sort of arrogant person who ticked off quite a few people and since it is a particularly successful but also unicorn status for most people. Thoughts?

No, the real question is whether it'll surpass 5 Centimeters Per Second, which is still Makoto Shinkai's best. :P

Now you mentioned it I also preferred 5 Centimeters Per Second rather than Your Name to be honest. It is just me being curious whether the new movie will have the same hype as Your Name. Story wise I think 5cm Per Second have more emotional impact in my opinion.

Well... I'm not really knowing much about Fate characters only few of them tbh but let me give my thoughts. So, as you said Gilgamesh is type of character that arrogant while his status is high am I right? I would say he suit with Lambo rather than Ferrari. Lambo would likely suit to a person who flamboyant and have a tendency to show off (just my opinion btw). For the unicorn status you can go for Lamborghini Miura I supposed, even though we know it is pretty popular name it was produced in limited numbers so it can be considered unicorn. It is also one of successful automobile icon too.

How about Ferrari? Well, it does had some unicorn model like 250 GTO or such but it doesn't look "showing off" in my opinion. Ferrari is more like an athlete or sportsman, famous yet skilled and precise which is based on their racing pedigree they had for decades. By the way, hope this helps and sorry if my reply is a bit too long. 👍

I have to say you raise some interesting points. I only suggested the 'rarri since I felt that a car similar to it would suit him best because of his overall character. He's arrogant all right and he holds back on his enemies because he doesn't feel like he needs to use his full power against lesser beings than him (aka mongrels). Again I was comparing the fact that Enzo ignored people who called him out on his cars in much the same way that Gil listens to no one, whether they be gods, humans, or even his own master. Then there's the fact that he doesn't allow anyone to touch his "treasures" let alone see them as he deems them "unworthy"; kind of like Ferrari owners.

But like I said, it was the first thing that came to mind when I thought about having a car that could represent him. While it's a good candidate it's not final as there could be a more worthy vehicle of repping his "holiness".

Apparently, Tamamo may be popular in the Fate series but she has yet to make an appearance in one of their animes, unlike the other servants such as Saber Red, Archer or Gilgamesh. Though easily outgoing and a very loving wife, I don't dig her personality at all. She tends to be crazy and silly most of the time, which makes her tedious to be with, especially in her debut in the game Fate/EXTRA. But hey, that's just me.

So why would a Miata fit her character? Maybe it's just because of the charm that it gives to many people but you also have to point out a negative characteristic as well so it'd be a good and complete analogy.

But this idea is quite intriguing, though it's hard to come up with a corresponding car for each servant, as they have different characteristics and attributes and are quite unique to each other.

Ah, so the reason you choose Ferrari first is because Enzo Ferrari himself. I agree with that reason though and because of his attitude it will eventually ended up with a birth of Lamborghini, which happened when Ferrucio have a problem with his Ferrari and decided to brought the car to service but somehow he wasn't allowed to because Enzo himself didn't give the permission. Ferrucio didn't pleased with Enzo's attitude and got really mad that later he decided to prove Enzo he can make better supercar than Ferrari and thus the Miura was born...

That is enough history lesson I guess...

The GT300 itasha love-in continues.

My question is will the team gain more fans as Mirai gain more subscribers? Also, will another virtual Youtuber follow her path? Would be interesting if more of them being a mascot imo.

As usual this post will not complete without weekly dose of pics, so here it is :

Not many fanart you see had Simca in it so here is Simca 1000 Coupe :

One more, I might give my impressions of this season shows I have watched and probably a summary for a whole season this year. By the way, happy holidays everyone! :D:cheers:

I've got as good a Christmas viewing as anybody this year: Kizumonogatari.

First part is down, and it's bloody interesting stuff so far. By all accounts it gets better as it goes along so I'm damn hyped for the rest of it. Will do part two tomorrow, and finish it on Boxing Day. Finally, I am getting ever closer to catching up with my favourite series of them all. Gotta keep the momentum going into the new year somehow... But with so many plans, potentially a new method of doing them, and work picking up again, can I keep it going? I think...quite possibly, yes.

The GT300 itasha love-in continues.

Well at least the GSR AMG GT3 won't be alone now in terms of itasha themed Super GT cars.

Quite excited to see what the Pacific x Mirai Akari Racing Project livery looks like. Their Love Live themed race car was decent.

Well when you think about it not everyone likes the charm that a Miata has so I think it's a good fit. For now at least.

I mean, it's a 2 door convertible sports car, so it might not appeal to everyone's taste or need. Much like Tamamo herself I guess since you aren't the first I've heard who isn't too crazy about her.

Ah, so the reason you choose Ferrari first is because Enzo Ferrari himself. Well I'll say it again, it was the first thing that came to mind that seemed to fit. It's not final but that would be my reasoning for now at least.

Again, if there are other vehicles that would suit them better feel free to mention them. I only suggested those cars to start the ball rolling so to say, and I'm still trying to see what would fit characters like Saber or Lancer or anyone else for that matter. This might take a while honestly.

Side note: Although now that I think about it maybe I'll make it a little easier and just make Lancer a Lancer himself.

Well I'll say it again, it was the first thing that came to mind that seemed to fit. It's not final but that would be my reasoning for now at least.

I understand. I'm just giving an example of Enzo arrogance personality as you said being one of main reasons why you choose Ferrari at first. Mine would be Lamborghini because they are known as "poster cars" and it purpose is to make people turn their heads so it is rather show off.

Oh hang on, how about Pagani? They have same characteristics as Lambo but much more exclusive and definitely a unicorn btw.
