Currently in the, Endless Eight, half of Haruhi.

15,499th so far? Damn, this is getting good! I'm amused by Yuki, also. Holding that much in her brain, rather wicked.

Anyways, so far, this series is way better than I thought it would be back when I first heard of it.

That sounds just about as whack as me smoking racers to Jazz as BGM.

How is crazy dubstep whack? Gets my adrenaline going!

So Jeff is Index now? For some reason I doubt he is as cute lol. But maybe he'll bite AOS- a lot and that should be entertaining.

This sounds a little happier overall than I was expecting. I will try it out and let you know if my k/d suffers.

Maybe you'll go berserk and always be happy, win or lose....

sounds like a trip to me. Who needs drugs? :P

I'm going to dish out Initial D soundtrack to replace that playlist. It might just get me out of that slump I've been in for the past 2 weeks... get on EOTW btw.

Yes, sir. :P

Hrmmm... excuse my Index-ness, but again I don't particularly recall. But very few things get below a 7/10 from me, so it must have seemed pretty lame in some way, or unnecessary to the 00 story or something like that. And btw, I gave the first season 00 a 9/10, the second season only 8/10, so maybe I felt like it was on the downhill and should've stopped when it was great.

Another who rates the first higher than the second? Ugh...you people drive me mad. :P

I kid of course, but at best I'd give AoTb an 8/10. Why? It brings everything around full circle and shows you just how much of a visionary/genius Aeolia really was...but at the same time I didn't like how it essentially walked itself into a corner with the 50 year jump, showing Setsuna as an ELS/Innovator hybrid. God knows what they did to the 00Q. And the ELS weren't as flushed out as I'd imagined.

But aside from that, what are your and dice's recommendations of the best overall Gundams? I've already decided I love 08th, 00, and Zeta, so what else do you this is just as or almost as good?

I don't know what's on your list, but I'd recommend the following:

UC (Unicorn)
G Gundam (An acquired taste to be honest, but I love it)
Gundam X (Really has an apocalyptic feel to it; serves as a "What If?" to UC)
Turn A Gundam (Another acquired taste; it's unorthodox but features a Gundam that can rape any and everything in it's wake)
Gundam W (Obviously)
I'm not recommending SEED or SEED Destiny. Why'd I even mention it then? Because I loathe both with a passion.
Gunpla Builders (Short but quite enjoyable. Has a Pokemon-cum-Yu-Gi-Oh feel to it; it isn't to be taken seriously)
Char's Counterattack

Do NOT watch, or even think about G-Saviour. I would rather recommend SEED before this crap. Me, recommend SEED - what does tell you?

It tells us about a Legend passed down for centuries. In it, a 23 y.o man of a mid-class stature preaches about how one should not lay their virgin eyes on G-Saviour, ever.

Alright, Gundam fanatics: If someone were to hypothetically start watching Gundam, where should they begin?

AOS is awesome

Depends on what your really into. If you want to start with cliche's start with Gundam Wing. IF your like long lasting rivalries and dog fights, start with MS gundam.

At the beginning, duh. :P

Nah. It depends on if you want to start at the literal beginning, or if you want to jump into one of the alternate timeline's.

Exactly. Treat yourself to an e-cookie.

Anyone else watch Corpse Princess? I've only seen the first episode and while I love it, I'd like to know if it gets better or the general pace remains consistent throughout the rest of the season.

Mr. Trex's sig begs to differ.

His sig is also incorrect. :)

NO WAY! Who'd have thought?!

This is Blasphemy! I should have his head for that!

btw I like that pic, that boring expression really does lighten up the serious tone of the text.

@yaywalter, as I've said before, if you want to start with Gundam, 00 or 0080th are the ways to go. It's pretty non-linear and very complicated, but usually very good.

Both were in the same universes as MS Gundam and so forth ( To my knowledge ) but I love MS08.

You could start with 08th and not be lost on anything (that I can remember) as it's basically it's own story. Same goes War in the Pocket (only pertinent info there is the NT-1 was originally meant for Amuro hence the 'NT').

00 is in AD.

EDIT: Am I officially welcomed into this thread now? :dopey:

Dude, if you are willing to say anything about anime, you're already a part of this tiny club....👍

...To get into the A.O.S. brigade however, that's an entirely different story.

Gundam is a HUGE founding father of anime, so yes!

What is this... AOS brigade?

I'm on my own little island with Gundams. How can I possibly get into your brigade?

You've always been welcomed! I can't comment on Gundam stuff as all I have seen is Gundam Wing (soon to add 00). Ahh the memories...

If you want to get into the brigade just watch NGE. Right now.
