It's looking likely that I'll finish Clannad tonight, guys. Just 4 episodes left. đź‘Ť

...And it's improved enough that I might actually consider watching After Story eventually. :P

I have to take breaks from drama shows as I find myslef growing tired of them very quickly. But when I haven't seen anything in that area for a couple of months and end up picking up something good, about 8 times out of 10 it will blow me away. I recommend doing this instead of stopping completely, try and watch something like Baccano! or Black Lagoon and I'm sure your love for animu will return.

I do this too and I agree entirely to the fullest extent possible.

gundam blah blah blah.
Notice how this guy only speaks up when someone says the G word?

One, it's the only time I actually feel welcome here (I don't mean that way it sounds, I mean I can't talk about anything else as I don't watch the same anime you all do). Two, I already mentioned two in the parentheses.

No worries man, add a show to watch once in conjunction to your parallel MLP stuff!

I'd recommend you something, but Cano's going to yell at me. :scared:

Is there anything else besides Gundam you do watch? Read any manga? đź’ˇ

I enjoyed F91 more than V for some reason :scared:

In all honesty, i'm not a fan of multiple parts being combined to create a gundam. (the same thing applies to ZZ)

Also, the fact that V is a mass produced gundam and not a one off annoys me. (08th MS Team somewhat annoyed me, but i forgave because of the story of shiro and aina)

Also, to me, V felt unnecessary. F91 showed that war existed i the future of the UC era, okay, doesn't mean continue on with another anime in the future of the future.. (i'm just picky like that  )

On a side note, as far as me and clannad are concerned:

Hey, Terronium-12, another Gundam fan here, currently on Zeta, 08th and 00 were both great, with several more in the queue eventually. Just wanted to throw out there that Banner of the Stars/Crest of the Stars and Legend of Galactic Heroes may be two non-Gundam animes you'd enjoy, though admittedly neither feature giant robots. Both are, however, very much in the Gundam Spirit. Another is Full Metal Panic, which is more modernized and funny, but it also gave me a certain Gundam Feel. And finally, Gunbuster, a short OVA which does indeed feature fighting giant robots piloted by people, check it out I think you may enjoy it.

The thought came up a few minutes ago. Not sure if it's entirely true, but:

"jeffgoddin, you are the Index of The General Anime Thread." Ya got yourself a new sig.

You might not get it, await someone to fill you in on that if that's the case, but in no way do I mean to offend you đź‘Ť

He means you're clumsy and always hungry and will meet a guy who will strip your of your clothes and peek at you when changing into a cheerleader's outfit and will always need protection from said guy since everyone else in the world is trying to kill you.

:sly:

Tutturu! Hatcha's got it!

:sly:

Wow for you to admit that you strip the clothes of other people and tell the world about it is very daring of you :sly:

Pretty sure he's talking about his memory. :P

Hrmmm... I thought maybe you meant tediously intelligent, but I can see where both these guys are coming from, perhaps the first more than the 2nd...

So jeff is into tearing off the clothes of little girls and peeking at them at the worse moments possible.

I'm sporting a pokerface at the moment.

I've just pieced together that Non-Stop Anime Terra Mix someone made and posted on Youtube, anyone want it? It's thumping 44 minutes of an Electropop beat endlessly at 61MB.

I think you need to re-read it lol.

I'll take it! Might be good Black Ops music.

If you're planning on torturing your opponents with it, maybe.

Currently I've been doing my killing to the Skrillex discography. It's been great but time for something else. Some techno might be good now.

I don't read manga anymore (the lengths I have to go through to get what I want to read are a pain in both my ass cheeks). As for me watching anything else, of course I watch/have watched other anime - Gundam is just my primary interest.

I'm watching the following right now:

Girls Bravo
Spice and Wolf
Corpse Princess
Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne
Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom
Robotech (Haven't seen this in ages!)

And that's it for the time being. I'm still finding stuff that catches my eye.

You're weird. You enjoyed a half completed/cancelled series, that was then crammed into a movie with a significant amount of pertinent info canned, as opposed to a full-fledged series that makes sense. Yes, you're weird.

That's okay though.

On one hand you're comparing mass produced ground units to one that was mass produced largely because the Federation had little other choice.

Also, to me, V felt unnecessary. F91 showed that war existed i the future of the UC era, okay, doesn't mean continue on with another anime in the future of the future.. (i'm just picky like that )

I don't think you understand some of what Gundam is all about: war is never-ending, you abolish one threat and another rises in it's place, likely more threatening than the previous. Or in the case of 0083 or Unicorn you have a subset group that adopts the ideals of a previous strength and essentially radicalizes everything.

I'm not saying you have to like V (why would I?) but to suggest it being unnecessary is harsh. If you look at it that way, everything UC-related was unnecessary after...0079. Eh, let's be fair: 0087.

Errr... Gundam?! :dopey:

You, shut up.

Will do. đź‘Ť

Have you seen Awakening of the Trailblazer yet?

*Excuse the geekery. I've been watching Gundam for 9, 10+ years. :P

That sounds just about as whack as me smoking racers to Jazz as BGM.

Whack, or grounded with subtlety? What's worse: being beat to the line with someone playing heavy metal in the background, or being beat to the line with someone playing proverbial "elevator music" in the background?

That, my friend, is an insult on top of an insult. Teabagging for the ears....Earbagging?

I'm going to dish out Initial D soundtrack to replace that playlist. It might just get me out of that slump I've been in for the past 2 weeks... get on EOTW btw.

Why only 6/10?

Hrmmm... excuse my Index-ness, but again I don't particularly recall. But very few things get below a 7/10 from me, so it must have seemed pretty lame in some way, or unnecessary to the 00 story or something like that. And btw, I gave the first season 00 a 9/10, the second season only 8/10, so maybe I felt like it was on the downhill and should've stopped when it was great.

But aside from that, what are your and dice's recommendations of the best overall Gundams? I've already decided I love 08th, 00, and Zeta, so what else do you this is just as or almost as good?

Hey jeff, may I call you Index as a nickname from now on? Pretty please, with a shiny bright red cherry on top! :dopey:
