If I can cut In...Powerslave, maybe Number of the Beast. But some track on "somewhere"( Loneliness of the Long distance runner) are a bit off compared to other albums

It's, well, different, but it's fantastic. For pre-keyboards, it would fool me that they didn't use them. It's different but one of their stronger albums. I think it's perfect.

Still loving Rime of the Ancient Mariner. On most songs I don't really care too much about the lyrics, mostly just how it sounds. The lyrics in Rime of the Ancient Mariner: just awesome! It's now for sure my favourite song by Maiden :)

The more I listen to Iron Maiden, Killers and No Prayer For The Dying, the more I like them a hell of a lot more than I used to.

Flash Of The Blade and The Assassin are getting a lot of plays at the moment. Especially the former. Amazing guitar work and chorus.

Been listening to a load of Blaze's work and SSOASS lately, both great material...

Cause I'm the A-SSAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSIINNNNNNNNNN.

Been listening to Blaze more too. FOTD as well. The Clansman, Sign of the Cross with Bruce, 2 AM and Lord of the Flies. LOTF and 2 AM could be better with more backing guitars in certain areas.

Liquid, I advise you to listen to FOTD more. The whole record is phenomenal. I've been listening to The Fugitive, and The Apparition much more than normal. The synth in The Apparition is perfect. Weekend Warrior is a favorite too. Hell the damn album is near perfect, classic Maiden. Every song is memorabile.

Just thought I should let you know that I'm interviewing Thomas Zwijsen today, check him out on Youtube. :)

Awesome!

EDIT: Cannot believe that I pretty much got all of the Sign of the Cross down on my guitar BY EAR...I improvise the solo and need to touch up on a few parts but wow I never thought I'd be able to play that.

I'm new to posting in this thread, although I've been creeping for a while haha.
Just got back from my first Maiden show in Philadelphia, they are incredible.

Had Wasted Years down and part of Icarus, bits of Infinite Dreams and The Clansman

My absolute favorite version of Revelations.
Of the live Maiden albums I have, Live After Death is no doubt the best in my opinion. En Vivo and Rock in Rio are also great, though. Anyone else have any input on this?

Liver After Death is rated by critics as the best live album ever created out of live albums.

Rock in Rio is fantastic, loved the solo in Sign of the Cross, soooo much better live.

Haven't seen En Vivo yet.

I like En Vivo because they play a good amount of the newer material. Although the concert last week was incredible, I want to see them for a tour supporting a new album for some of the newer songs. The setlist for Live After Death features one of my favorite albums though.

Unfortunately I have to miss the concert I was going to in 2 weeks to see them.

That's rough. It was 103*F the night I was there, so it was terrible until the minute they got on and terrible once again when they finished.

I cannot BELIEVE I'm missing the Maiden concert Monday night. *sigh*

What happened? :(

They are running a ticketless only concert event so you have to have the credit card that was used to purchase the tickets with you upon entry.

What happened is, I got 3rd row seats and backstage passess, but the person that got them for me for my birthday passed away and the credit card is no longer valid. So I can't go. I want to cry, they are like my favorite band.

I mean, death isn't optional. You think they would understand since she had ovarian cancer and ended up paralyzed (brain tumors as well) but there is no way to prove they were for me, my dad and 2 friends.

:( That's really unfortunate. Maybe you could try reasoning with them. I mean, it may not work but that would be really cruel to not let someone in who had gotten tickets but can't go due to the owner of the credit card passing away.

It's too late now.
