I'm going to see Maiden tonight (with Megadeth!) in Raleigh, NC! I never thought I would see the day where they would come around my way, but it finally happened.

Do they still have special shirts for each location they go to?

Yup. I just happened to get my hands on a set from the concert we had up here last year even though unfortunately I was unable to attend. Maiden is huge now, even more so than the 1980s, so expect it to be sold out.

^I'll be watching that for sure.

On another note, I walked into English class and the teacher was playing The Lonliness of the Long Distance Runner. It took all of my being to not sing it as loud as I could.

It's at 11pm EST.

OMG I would have. That is one of my all time favorite songs. Its a toss up between that and Hallowed Be Thy Name.

I would have belted it out. Did you say something to the teacher?

Oh he knows that I love Maiden, we were talking about them earlier when he saw me in a Maiden shirt. Evidently, he likes them too, which is awesome. Should be a good year :P

I had a teacher who was a fan, he asked me if I'd ever seen them live..I had another teacher who worked backstage for them once. And on top of that, I had another teacher who saw them in '88 right after Seventh Son came out.

My English teacher last year said she used The Rime of the Ancient Mariner to help teach about the poem to another class. I asked if we could listen to it and the answer was no :grumpy:. Its pretty awesome to have had a teacher who worked for them though. I now feel the need to find out if any others are closet Maiden fans :P

They've been here twice in the past 10 years (missed 'em both). He worked backstage for a lot of bands, and had dinner with Green Day once.

I've heard Alexander the Great, Aces High, and Rime of the Ancient Mariner in school before. Pretty cool.

Iron Maiden is up! You can definitely tell its live. Lots of sound issues in the opening song... and BRUCE IS GROWING HIS HAIR OUT AGAIN!!!!

Bruce has stated they are focusing on stuff from the Seventh Son Maiden England tour. Currently waiting for a new album announcement since they said they are doing another.

Here's hoping this gets released on DVD. Besides the opener, they've been doing great so far. Damn they are trying so hard to pull off another Live After Death. Amazing setlist so far....Crowd seems a bit dead...

And before you watch, he sings this entire concert with a cold and pulls it off beautifully.

Setlist as it plays:

1. Moonchild
2. Can I Play With Madness
3. The Prisoner
4. 2 Minutes to Midnight
__Opening Speech
5. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
6. The Trooper
7. The Number of the Beast
8. Phantom of the Opera
9. Run to the Hills
10. Wasted Years
11. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
12. The Clairvoyant
13. Fear of the Dark
14. Iron Maiden
___End Speech

Lucky for you it's been recorded and they posted the entire show up on YouTube so you can watch it. Ill get a link for you in the morning.

Seriously hope they put it in DVD but wow the opening song was really rough on the ears as far as mixing.

You could tell it was live though. Some solos were tough to hear until they faded in whoevers solo it was guitar line.
